The article concerns logistic procedures in the promotion of agritourism services used by farmers engaged in agritourism and by agritourism associations, local authorities in municipalities and agricultural advisory centers. On the basis of the literature, various promotional instruments used by rural service providers and by these entities in the communication processes with the market were shown. Logistic aspects concerning planning and implementation of agritourism development were presented, mainly the role of agritourism information and promotional activities in these processes. Farmers providing agritouristic services most often use various forms of promotion. Among them, they use online advertising, publishing houses, including catalogs, trips to agritourism fairs, personal sale and different forms of public relation. In the agritourism promotion they often have support from local authorities, agritourism associations and agricultural advisory centres. All promotional activities undertaken by farmers themselves and with the support of these entities constitute an important part of agrotourism logistics.

The first step, allowing women to actively participate in political life was to give them the right to vote. The first country, which was made New Zealand at the end of the nineteenth century. Thus, no matter sex. Anyone who has acquired the right to vote can take an active part in political life. The study cited examples of women in the political arena confirm that the role of head of state in Europe has only six women. This is clear evidence that women may have limited access to important political positions. One of the reasons for this situation is the fact that society continues to believe that the woman the position of head of state is not the right person. Another important reason for the lack of women in politics are stereotypes, which are unfortunately very firmly rooted in the thinking of society.

Promoting fruit and vegetable consumption is one of the main objectives of food and nutrition policy interventions worldwide. Public institutions, non-governmental organizations, research and health agencies together with market stakeholders undertake integrated initiatives to inform consumers about the health benefits of everyday fruit and vegetable intake. In the European Union several campaigns aimed at increasing produce demand have been launched in the nineties to improve the dietary patterns of the general population or specific consumer groups, such as children. However statistics show that fruit and vegetable intake in most EU states including new members is much below the recommended level. School-aged children, women and employees are currently the main target groups of “5 a day’ information and promotion activities aimed at increasing f&v consumption. In order to secure long-term effectiveness of such programs the main determinants of consumer choice in the food market should be monitored. Broad public-private partnerships, including producers and distributors seem to be the key to strengthening the efforts at “pushing’ market demand. Some of the campaigns developed and implemented in the European Union countries can be described as “5 a day’ best practices. The involvement of fruit and vegetable chain participants, cooperation and evaluation of undertaken interventions are further needed in order for the programs to become more efficient and widespread.

Aim The aim of this paper is the assessment of eating habits of high school students from grades 2 and 3, including eating habits, self-evaluation of diet and the most common nutrition mistakes committed by the members of the studied group. Materials and methodology The study involved 333 high school students between the age of 17 and 19. The group consisted of 150 girls and 183 boys. Data was collected using an original survey which consisted of questions dealing with diet and respondent’s particulars. The study was anonymous. The results have been subjected to statistical analysis using Pearson’s chi-squared test. The statistical differences recognized as significant were those with probability of p<0.05 Results The majority reaching nearly 40% of respondents declared that they eat 4 meals a day. Over 60% eat breakfast every day. The number of students who declared that they do not eat breakfast at all amounted to 48. Over 55% do not pay attention to their eating habits, whereas 45 students consider them unhealthy. About 60% of respondents declare that they do not drink energy drinks. Within the group of students who consume such drinks the most often declared frequency was 1-2 times a week. The answers, however, vary between the female and the male group (chi-square=82.72121, p≤0,05); 75% of males do not consume energy drinks, among females the percentage amounts to mere 43%. Conclusions The students taking part in the study commit nutrition mistakes which might be a sign of unsufficient level of health education within that field. The nutritional education of the youth should start in primary school and be adapted to the needs and possibilities of the target group. In the face of poor diet, it seems justified to analyze the sources of information on nutrition used by the youth in terms of their credibility.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The purpose of the paper is to analyse the impact ageism may have on providing healthcare to elderly people. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: The article investigates the consequences of ageism in medical settings, where the elderly are particularly vulnerable to discrimination, distinguishing ageism from appropriate practice variation as well as giving suggestions to improve the situation. The paper analyses research published worldwide on selected issues connected with ageism with special attention to medical professionals’ attitudes and ageist behaviours of the elderly’s environment in a situation of their disability or illness. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: Firstly, the relation of ageism to other forms of stereotyping is outlined. Then, the threats of positive ageism are elaborated. The next section is devoted to self-stereotyping of the elderly and its impact on their functioning. Then, the paper discusses medical professionals’ attitudes and ways to measure them, as well as educational interventions that may alter them. Finally, the article refers effective ways of adjusting health promotion messages to the needs of older adults. RESEARCH RESULTS: Ageism bases on mechanisms similar to sexism and racism, but there are some remarkable differences. Positive ageism may be compassionate, however, might be harmful when intruding into an elderly person’s decisions. Self-stereotyping may be described with a model of a vicious cycle. Contact with the elderly is found to be useful in changing medical staff’s attitudes. Family-centred messages are most effective when it comes to health promotion among older adults. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Studies on ageism prove that negative convictions about the elderly are harmful and affect their functioning. Inclusion of the elderly should be applied in social contexts as well as in science, as the elderly are often missed out in research samples.

Teacher personality patterns, shaped in the form of characteristics attributed to particular groups of teachers of the given subject, as if they were accepted in school practice. Such opinions are generally formulated by pupils. The present study is an attempt to analyse opinions on distinguishing characteristics of physical education teachers as they are perceived by teachers of other subjects, and to compare them with the PE teachers’ self-assessment. The study results show that, in the opinion of physical education teachers, the strongest features of their professional identity are their organisation skills and dynamics in action; they are also distinguished by their optimism, clothes style, manners, commitment to work, and being resourceful in life. They perceive these image attributes as of high quality. However, teachers of other subjects assess these features much lower. In their opinion, the strongest distinguishing feature of physical education teachers in the school is mainly their outfit; they are also identified by dynamics in action, optimism, lifestyle, involvement at work, and courage. This means that - either the physical education teachers have a very high opinion of their value, or their peers teaching other subjects underestimate the assessment. Undoubtedly, the self-perception factor and related mechanisms of self-promotion and depreciation play certain role in this case.

The purpose of this publication is to identify and evaluate the attractiveness of the rural tourism product in Poland. As an example to achieve the goal, a thematic trail was chosen, the leitmotif of which is inextricably linked with the village—“Lesser Poland Village Fragrant with Herbs”. The topic concerns an interesting, but at the same time little known, innovative tourist product in Poland and abroad. Thematic routes constitute a coherent and attractive offer for tourists. Promotion of cultivation and gastronomy based on dishes from herbs, as well as cooperation of agritourism farms in this area can bring tangible benefits both for themselves and for tourists. The thesis put forward in the paper is the statement that the cooperation of farms within the “Lesser Poland Village Fragrant with Herbs” trail may be a significant stimulus in improving their attractiveness and market position as well as diversifying the tourist product. The research results positively verify the thesis. The functioning of the trail significantly affects the market position of the member farms, improving the quality of their operation and professionalism. The article was created using compact books, magazines, as well as netographic information and an interview with selected agro-hosts and the director of the organization responsible for establishing the trail. The research method used in the publication is the analysis of existing data and an interview with the director of the SOT office and selected owners of the member farms of the discussed route.
Celem niniejszej publikacji jest identyfikacja i ocena atrakcyjności wiejskiego produktu turystycznego w Polsce. Jako przykład służący realizacji celu wybrano szlak tematyczny, którego motyw przewodni nierozerwalnie jest związany ze wsią – „Małopolska Wieś Pachnąca Ziołami”. Temat dotyczy interesującego, a jednocześnie mało znanego w Polsce i za granicą nowatorskiego produktu turystycznego. Szlaki tematyczne stanowią bowiem spójną i atrakcyjną propozycję turystyczną dla turystów. Propagowanie uprawy oraz gastronomii na bazie potraw z ziół, a także współpraca gospodarstw agroturystycznych w tym zakresie może przynosić wymierne korzyści zarówno dla nich samych, jak i dla turystów. Tezą, jaką postawiono w pracy, jest stwierdzenie, że współpraca gospodarstw w ramach szlaku „Małopolska Wieś Pachnąca Ziołami” może stanowić istotny bodziec w poprawie ich atrakcyjności i pozycji rynkowej oraz urozmaiceniu produktu  turystycznego. Wyniki badań pozytywnie weryfikują postawioną tezę. Funkcjonowanie szlaku wpływa istotnie na pozycję rynkową gospodarstw członkowskich, poprawę jakości ich funkcjonowania oraz profesjonalizm. Artykuł powstał dzięki wykorzystaniu zwartych materiałów książkowych, czasopism, jak również informacji netograficznych i wywiadu z wybranymi agrogospodarzami i z dyrektorem organizacji odpowiedzialnej za powołanie szlaku. Metoda badawcza zastosowana w publikacji to analiza danych zastanych i wywiad z dyrektorem biura SOT oraz z wybranymi właścicielami gospodarstw członkowskich omawianego szlaku.

Ammonium sulfate ((NH4)2SO4) exhibits promoting effects in malachite sulfidization flotation. However, the promotion mechanism remains poorly understood. In this study, micro-flotation tests, zeta-potential measurements, scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy-dispersive spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and materials studio simulation (DFT) were used to investigated the promotion mechanism of $(NH_4)_2SO_4$. Micro-flotation test demonstrates that the recovery of malachite from 73% increased to 83%, when the (NH4)2SO4 was added. Contact angle and zeta potential test results indicate that addition of $Na_2S•9H_2O$ changes the surface properties of malachite and provide the conditions for adsorption of butyl xanthate (BX). After promoting the sulfidization by $(NH_4)_2SO_4$, BX is more effective in improving the hydrophobicity. SEM-EDS and AFM results show that $(NH_4)_2SO_4$ can improve performance and stability of sulfidization. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy indicates that after sulfidization, polysulfides and cuprous were appeared in malachite surface, infers that a redox reaction occurs between sulfur and copper on the surface of malachite. After addition of $(NH_4)_2SO_4$, the percentage of polysulfides and cuprous were increased, it implies $(NH_4)_2SO_4$ can accelerate the redox reaction. Computational results show that after adding $(NH_4)_2SO_4$, the adsorption energy of HS- on the malachite surface is reduced, implies that $(NH_4)_2SO_4$ can improve the stability of HS-adsorption on the surface of malachite.

The aim of this study was to analyse health behavior, taking into account the following aspects: proper nutritional habits (PNH), preventive behaviors (PB), positive thinking (PT) and health practices (HP) in the light of general index of intensity of health behaviors (GIIHB) of pregnant women participating in antenatal classes in Szczecin. Juczyński’s (2001) Health Behavior (HBI) Inventory constitutes the methodological basis for this investigation. Among examined respondents participating in prenatal school activities a high health behaviors indicator was stated in nearly half of them (49.0%). Unfortunately, among the rest of examined pregnant women health behaviors were on the average (37.4%) or low level (13.6%). None of the above categories of health behaviours obtained remarkably higher point values. Therefore, it can be stated that there is a necessity to promote preventive activities to spread information concerning healthy eating habits and to recommend advantages resulting from health behaviors.

At present, motivation is gaining a special significance in the organization management process. It has become a management function that encourages people to work. The objective of a well-organized motivation system is to determine rewards at a level appreciated by the subordinate and to set ambitious but achievable goals. One of a number of such rewards is the promotion understood as moving a person to a higher position in the organization's hierarchy. An organization in which this type of motivational tool plays an important role is the State Forests National Forest Holding (hereinafter: the State Forests) - an organizational unit having no legal personality and operating for over ninety years. The purpose of this paper is to explain motivation techniques used in the State Forests based on the example of Antonin Forest Inspectorate. The study focuses on the promotion as the most important and most effective motivational incentive for the State Forests staff (15.32% of the surveyed said so).

The advent of online advertising has drastically changed how football is approached and funded. No doubt, Information and Communication Technology has had huge impact on sports development across the globe and also has created new vista for sports promotion, marketing, sports followership and revenue generation. This study examines the influence of online advertising in the promotion of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). The technological determinism theory was used as theoreti-cal basis for this research work. Survey method of research was adopted with four hundred copies of questionnaire administered to respondents in four States in the North- Central zone of Nigeria namely; Niger, Kogi, Benue and FCT. It was found that the extent of online advertising usage by the League Management Company (LMC) and NPFL club sides is poor in compare to its usage by other league organizers and club sides in advanced nations. Therefore, this study recommends that the league han-dlers should, immediately, consider setting up a fully equipped social media marketing team. This should include; web designers, graphic artists, online media influencers and advert executives. The LMC should also ensure the employment of professional web designers to revamp the look-and-feel of the site. Make it more user-friendly and updated constantly. Also, the website should be fully commercialized.
Pojawienie się reklamy internetowej radykalnie zmieniło podejście do piłki nożnej i jej finansowania. Bez wątpienia technologie informacyjne i komunikacyjne wywarły ogromny wpływ na rozwój sportu na całym świecie, a także stworzyły nowe perspektywy promocji sportu, marketingu, obserwowania sportu i generowania przychodów. Niniejsze badanie dotyczy wpływu reklamy internetowej na promocję Nigeryjskiej Profesjonalnej Ligi Piłki Nożnej (NPFL). Podstawę teoretyczną niniejszej pracy badawczej stanowi teoria determinizmu technologicznego. Przyjęto ankietową metodę badań, obejmującą czterysta kopii kwestionariusza udzielonego respondentom w czterech stanach północno-środkowej strefy Nigerii, a mianowicie; Niger, Kogi, Benue i FCT. Stwierdzono, że zakres wykorzystania reklam online przez League Management Company (LMC) i strony klubowe NPFL jest niewielki w porównaniu z ich wykorzystaniem przez innych organizatorów lig i kluby w zaawansowanych krajach. Dlatego w tym badaniu zaleca się, aby prowadzący ligę natychmiast rozważyli utworzenie w pełni wyposażonego zespołu marketingu społecznościowego. Powinno to obejmować; projektantów stron internetowych, grafików, osoby wpływające na media internetowe i specjalistów ds. reklam. League Management Company (LMC) powinno również zapewnić zatrudnienie profesjonalnych projektantów stron internetowych w celu zmiany wyglądu i działania witryny. Sprawić, aby była bardziej przyjazna dla użytkownika i stale aktualizowana. Strona powinna być również w pełni skomercjalizowana.

The aim of the study is to determine the intensity of exercise during amateur running competitions taking place in the Sudeten Mountains, based on results of measurements of energy expenditure. The study covered those participating in 2015-17 and included details on themselves and their preparation. Their energy consumption was measured using a CALTRACTM device. Routes are described by distance (km) and altitude (m). Average energy output values for 19.2 km and 613.8 m were calculated from measurements taken which was characterized as ‘unduly heavy’. In women this value was 11.6 kcal/1 min/55 kg and in men - 12.7 kcal/1 min/65 kg.

The quality of life is a multidimensional notion. When studying it, one should take the physical, the psychological, the social, and the professional aspects into consid eration. Among them, the notion of the influence of obesity, understood as a modern -age disease, relates the quality of life to the notion of health, in the aspect of physical activity. The aim of the study carried out, was to determine the relationship be tween obesity in 18 -25 year - olds, and their physical activity, as well as the quality of their lives. The study was carried out by means a WHOQOL - BREF, and IPAQ survey questionnaires carried out on a group of 100 participants. The control group included pe ople whose BMI was within the norm, whereas the study group comprised people whose BMI was over 25. The results of the study have shown obesity to have a statistically significant negative impact on the quality of life in the physical, and mental domains, and as far as the general perception of health was concerned. In the study group, the mean weekly energy expenditure, was lower than in the control group. The physical activity of the obese, includes, mainly, activities based on light effort, and to a less er extent, those based on moderate effort. A comparative analysis has shown the level of physical activity to be significantly lower in obese women, in each type of physical effort, except light effort. This difference does not exist between the study, and control groups of men.

Opis:
Accidents at work and occupational diseases have a negative impact not only on the psychophysical condition of employees and the image of the company, but also, above all, on productivity, and thus on social and economic development. Ensuring safe and hygienic working conditions is the responsibility of every employer but without additional forms of support it does not suffice to prevent and stop accidents at work. The employer should constantly implement measures to improve safety so as to prevent accidents at work. One of such activities may be to promote safe and healthy working conditions. It is a program that allows raising employees’ awareness and knowledge about occupational hazards and risks related to their work, as well as about methods of protection against effects of these hazards and risks. The purpose of the article is to present the concept of promotion and its tools in popularizing safe and hygienic working conditions. The article is also an attempt to answer, on the basis of the results of surveys conducted in the form of individual reviews, the question whether the promotion of safe and hygienic working conditions improves the safety of employees, reduces or eliminates accidents at work, and broadens employees’ knowledge.
