Opis:
Microstructure and electrical properties of hydrogenated nanocrystalline silicon (nc-Si:H) film deposited on glass substrate at low temperature were characterized by average grain size, crystallinity, and dark electrical conductivity data obtained from the Raman and electrical conductivity spectroscopy, respectively. The average grain size, crystallinity and electrical conductivity have a similar change with substrate temperature. A threshold substrate temperature determined by silane concentration appears in their corresponding spectroscopy vs. substrate temperature. The dependence of crystallinity, average grain size and electrical conductivity on substrate temperature were accounted for by surface diffusion model and heterojunction quantum dot model, respectively.

Opis:
The antimony oxide as part of the heavy metal oxide glasses is attractive to researchers in recent years. The new antimony oxide glasses have been successfully synthesized using silica crucible in the ternary system for undoped and doped $(80-x)Sb_2O_3-20Li_2O-xMoO_3$ (x = 20, 30 mol.%) doped with 0.1 mol.% $CuO_2$. The optical characterization in the visible spectral region has been carried out on the doped glasses. The role of the Jahn-Teller effect in Cu doped glasses is determined and the electron transitions in these cations have been determined.

Opis:
We optimize the atomic structures of icosahedral Ni₆Zr₅Nb₃ with an added H-atom in a periodic cell as a local structural model of Ni-Zr-Nb-H amorphous alloys by the first principles calculation, and identify energetically favorable H-atom sites in the local structure of the amorphous alloys. We find that a H-atom is favorably located not at tetrahedral sites in the icosahedral cluster but at octahedral sites in the region of inter-cluster. We also find that a H-atom in some tetrahedral sites induces a rearrangement of the local structure from icosahedral to fcc-like, which seems to correspond to a local crystallization in the amorphous phase. These results give a fundamental behavior of hydrogen atoms in Ni-Zr-Nb amorphous alloys and information to elucidate the mechanism of the electrical transport in the Ni-Zr-Nb amorphous alloys with H-atoms.

In Fe based glasses not solely the stress-sensitive magnetic properties, but also the amorphous Curie temperature $(T_C^{am})$ can be altered by hydrogen absorption or due to the low temperature "heat treatments" in liquid $N_2$ (-196°C). The sign and magnitude of this $T_C^{am}$ shift is strongly compositional dependent, but it is also influenced by the thermal history of glasses (heat treatments). In this paper new experimental results are presented, which were obtained on FeCrB alloys, supporting the previous observations. An attempt of interpretation of the results is also made, which is based on the existence of the quenched-in phase reminiscences, being inherited from the liquid structure.

The thin layer of Pb granules on the surface of the lead-germanate glass was prepared by thermal annealing in hydrogen. The structure and superconducting properties of lead layer depend on temperature and time of reduction. The influence of time and temperature of reduction on the properties of the reduced layer thickness has been studied.

Microstructure and thermomagnetic properties for the Fe₇₅Mo₈Cu₁B₁₆ and Fe₈₁Mo₈Cu₁B₁₀ metallic glasses in the as-quenched state and after heat treatment at 643 K and 723 K are studied. The inverse change of the Curie point was observed for Fe₇₅Mo₈Cu₁B₁₆ metallic glass after annealing below the onset of crystallization. It is attributed to structural relaxation of the amorphous phase. The maximum of magnetic entropy change calculated for magnetic field of 1.0 T occurs for the Fe₇₅Mo₈Cu₁B₁₆ alloy annealed at 643 K at temperature close to the Curie point and equals 0.74 J kg¯¹ K¯¹.
