Objectives To estimate the prevalence of leisure-time physical inactivity (LTPI) and associated factors among healthcare workers. Material and Methods The cross-sectional study carried out with 2684 healthcare workers from 4 municipalities from the northeast region, Brazil. The LTPI was assessed by dichotomous question. The association between LTPI and the various independent variables was examined through the multinomial logistic regression analysis (crude and adjusted). Results The prevalence of LTPI was 47.9% (95% confidence interval (CI): 46.01–48.80). The adjusted analysis (sociodemographic and occupational characteristics) showed that women and individuals with higher levels of education were more LTPI (p = 0.05). Conclusions The prevalence of LTPI was high among the population investigated, especially among women and individuals with higher education. These results show the importance of developing actions to encourage adherence to physical activity during leisure time among workers, especially among the most vulnerable groups (people with higher education and women), given the benefits of this behavior to health. The aim of the presented research results was to diagnose changes in leisure time behaviours in the situation of the Covid-19 epidemic. The acquired knowledge about changing leisure time behaviour will be used to develop programmes to promote leisure time activity for students during and after the pandemic. The respondents used the Jay B. Nash model of leisure time, which indicates 4 levels of positive use of leisure time and also includes 2 negative levels, i.e. excesses and crime. We assume that the change in leisure time behaviours during the pandemic may consist in creating more valuable forms of activity, giving not so much pleasure but satisfaction (e.g. pursuing interests, creative activity). We also assume that as a result of these changes a sense of spending time in a valuable and meaningful way during the pandemic (building health, feeling satisfied) will be created, which may result in the permanence of the behavioural changes that have occurred, which may become new health and leisure time habits.

During a single season, animators work with several thousand hotel guests. Parents and their children expect entertainment and attractions at a high level. Certainly, animation is a lot of fun. However, it is associated with numerous challenges. The aim of this study described in this article was to identify the most common benefits and challenges reported by animators in the survey conducted the by authors. The first part outlines the job of a leisure animator in the light of the literature. The main part is concerned with the benefits of working as an animator and challenges that animators can face in their work. The study is based on data collected during an online questionnaire survey involving 110 animators from Poland, working in various travel agencies. The findings confirm the main hypothesis of the study: opportunities to interact with people and travel are the most frequently reported advantages of leisure animation. Animation is also seen as a chance for self-fulfillment and continuous development. However, the job is associated with a lot of stress and long working hours, which constitute one of its challenges.

Opis:
Objectives:  The present study aimed to to investigate the role of the leisure time physical activities in the control of abnormal behaviours of male high school students in Tehran (Iran). Methods: A sample of 1715 students was selected based on multi-stage cluster random sampling using Cochran’s formula. The research instrument was an ad hoc questionnaire of abnormal behaviours elaborated by the researchers and based on the previous literature. Its validity was confirmed by a group of fifteen university teachers of physical education, sociology, and psychology. The reliability was 0.85 using Cronbach’s alpha. Descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, and independent samples t-test (p?0.05) were used in the analysis of the data. Findings: The results showed that participation in leisure time physical activities has a positive role in reducing all the three areas of abnormal behaviours (maladaptive behaviours, anti-social behaviours, and immoral behaviours). Conclusions: Family leisure time planners, social and health policy makers are recommended to take supportive measures in order to incorporate sports activities in students’ lifestyle.

Issues concerning leisure activities of officers take an important place in studies relating to this matter. Good atmosphere in the family and appropriate relations with relatives are crucial both in individual and societal dimensions. They are socially desirable as limiting the occurence of stressful and pejorative situations that do not have a positive impact on the functioning either at professional or "civilian" levels. This is also a sugnificant element from the point of view of an institution, an employee and a military employer.

Globalization leaves its footprint on the leisure market contributing to the global popularization of brand new forms of recreation. A perfect example of such instant diffusion of innovation on a global scale is the rapid development of escape rooms. The aim of the article is to try and explain the extraordinary popularity of escape rooms in Poland, mainly through an analysis of what they offer. The author presents the origins and development of this particular form of recreation, discusses the location of nearly 600 facilities functioning in 2016, as well as giving a detailed description of escape rooms in the ten large Polish cities. The study leads to the conclusion that the phenomenon of escape rooms stems from, among other things, the fundamental assumptions of the experience economy.

Introduction: Physical activity, apart from enhancing proper body functioning, is a natural need of every human being, and taken up regularly brings numerous health benefits. The aim of the research was to define the level of physical activity in leisure time as well as to present the forms of physical activity preferred by students. Material and methods: The research was conducted in the academic year 2017/2018 among the first year students of The State Higher Vocational School in Tarnów, majoring in Physical Education, Physiotherapy and Nursing. The survey covered the total of 209 students, 153 females (73.2%) and 56 males (26.8%). A diagnostic survey was applied as the research method, and the empirical material was collected with the use of a questionnaire. Results: The research showed that the level of students’ physical activity varied depending on both sex and the field of study. The majority of the respondents (66.5%) showed a low level of physical activity. The female students most frequently practised swimming (22.2%) and running (13.1%), whereas the male students preferred football (32.1%), gym workout (17.9%) and, similarly to the females, swimming (14.3%). Conclusions: On the basis of the research results and the formulated conclusions it can be stated that taking decisive and effective actions in order to develop positive attitudes towards physical culture among children and youth and to prepare them for lifelong care for their body should be a priority.

Scientific objective: The boundaries between leisure time and work time are becoming more fluid, just as barriers between media production and consumption in production of user-generated content are hard to define, yet competing with each other for customers’ attention time. This article proposes a news look at the concept of hybrid time in the context of contemporary media use – flexible, multitasking, multi-threading mixed multidimensional time, which is a consequence of the digital vortex into which our life is pulled. Research methods: While at this time we are able to merely explore the arising issues, we suggest use of qualitative methods of analysis and a critical review of qualitative methodologies used in audience measurement when referring to traditional time budget and internet use research. Results and conclusions: Exploring these issues will hopefully allow us to open a new field of research communication and formulates a number of important macro-scale reserch hypotheses. Cognitive value: The article attempts to make a contribution to a new, hitherto unexplored temporal dimension of contemporary mass communication by proposing an important category of analysis of customers’ attention which is hybrid time.
