    Ojciec Jacek Woroniecki przyczynił się do budowania nie tylko pedagogiki chrześcijańskiej i katolickiej, ale także pedagogiki w ogóle w Polsce, osiągając niekwestionowane mistrzostwo w tym zakresie. Jako mistrz i nauczyciel zaistniał na gruncie pedagogiki katolickiej i chrześcijańskiej, wnosząc swój wkład w wypracowywanie ich statusu dyscyplinarnego w ciągu całego swojego życia, które odczytujemy jako ilustrację kształtowania się jego dojrzałej wiary i z niej wynikającej jego naukowej refleksji. Przestrzegając przed zbyt pochopnym zaliczaniem pedagogów do pedagogów katolickich, podejmuje problematykę pedagogiczną z pozycji, którą możemy określić jako pozycję mądrości chrześcijańskiej i w niej, zwłaszcza w Kościele katolickim, odkrywa to, co rozumiał on jako paedagogia perennis, zawierająca w swoich blokach tematycznych takie podstawowe grupy problemów, jak: 1) podmiot wychowania jako refleksję nad człowiekiem mającym być wychowanym; 2) przedmiot wychowania, czyli co w wychowaniu chcemy wytworzyć przez działalność wychowawczą oraz 3) wychowawcę, czyli tego, który pojedynczo czy społecznie ma pokierować procesem wychowania w wychowanku. Zauważając dominację postaw indywidualistycznych w nauczaniu i wychowaniu, Jacek Woroniecki eksponuje „społeczną stronę samej czynności wychowawczej”, nie deprecjonując w niczym „wartości indywidualnych wychowawcy”. Zabierając głos w sprawie specyfiki pedagogiki, Woroniecki przyczynił się do umocnienia tej specyfiki, a jednocześnie wprowadził refleksję pedagogiczną w konteksty uniwersalności i wypracował jej status jako dyscypliny z własną tożsamością jak również otwartej na rzeczywistość, na inne dyscypliny oraz na wielorakie aspekty i wymiary ludzkiej egzystencji. Praktycznie przyczyniając się do rozwoju pedagogiki, wskazuje na sposoby kształtowania charakteru i osobowości wychowanka, postulując powrót do pedagogicznych zasad chrześcijaństwa zwanych uniwersalizmem pedagogicznym, w którym zwraca się uwagę na przedmiot formalny wychowania – człowieka – takiego, jakim on winien być wtedy, gdy osiągnie pełnię swojego osobowego bytu w wyniku właściwego, tj. harmonijnego rozwoju w nim wszystkich cnót przyrodzonych i nadprzyrodzonych.
    Fr. Jacek Woroniecki contributed to building not only Christian and Catholic pedagogy, but also pedagogical theory in general in Poland, having achieving unquestioned primacy in this regard. He appeared on the grounds of Catholic and Christian pedagogy as master and teacher, contributing to the development of their disciplinary status throughout his entire life, which we read as an illustration of shaping his mature faith and his scientific reflection arising from it. In warning against the hasty classification of educators as Catholic educators, he embraced the pedagogical issues from a position which could be described as a position of Christian wisdom, and in this wisdom, particularly in the Catholic Church, he discovered what he understood as paedagogia perennis, including in his thematic blocks such fundamental groups of issues as 1) the subject of education as the reflection over the person to be educated, 2) the object of education, i.e. what we want to produce in education by means of educational activity, and 3) the tutor, i.e. the one who individually or socially is to direct the process of education in the pupil. Noting the domination of individualistic attitudes in teaching and education, Fr. Jacek Woroniecki exhibits “the social side of the educational action itself,” while not depreciating “the tutor’s individual values” at all. Speaking on the matter of the specificity of pedagogy, Fr. Woroniecki contributed to the consolidation of this specificity, and simultaneously introduced pedagogical reflection, in the contexts of universality, and developed its status as a discipline with its own identity, but simultaneously open to reality, to other disciplines, and the manifold aspects and dimensions of human existence. In making a practical contribution to the development of pedagogy, he indicated the methods for the formation of the character and personality of a pupil, postulating a return to the pedagogical principles of Christianity called the pedagogical universalism, in which attention was paid to the formal object of the education – the person – e.g. how the person should be when reaching the fullness of personal existence as a result of the proper, i.e. harmonious, development of all the natural and supernatural virtues.

    Let X be a completely regular Hausdorff space, E and F be Banach spaces. Let $C_b(X,E)$ be the space of all E-valued bounded continuous functions on X, equipped with the strict topology β. We study topological properties of the space $L_{β}(C_{b}(X,E),F)$ of all $(β,||·||_{F})$-continuous linear operators from $C_{b}(X,E)$ to F, equipped with the topology $τ_{s}$ of simple convergence. If X is a locally compact paracompact space (resp. a P-space), we characterize $τ_{s}$-compact subsets of $L_{β}(C_{b}(X,E),F)$ in terms of properties of the corresponding sets of the representing operator-valued Borel measures. It is shown that the space $(L_{β}(C_{b}(X,E),F),τ_{s})$ is sequentially complete if X is a locally compact paracompact space.

    The internationalization of Polish companies via equity entry modes is still a phenomenon limited in scope, especially when compared to that occurring in developed countries, however showing a clear upward trend. Within this research framework the following paper presents the results of a qualitative study devoted to the geographical patterns of foreign expansion of Polish companies. The theoretical analysis, based on the eclectic (OLI) paradigm of international production, the internationalization process model and the Strategy Tripod, is focused simultaneously on the determinants of location choice related to host country and firm characteristics. Case study results indicate that host country choice is related to the investment motives. Moreover, the role of location choice criteria depends on the host country level of development.

    Introduction: The broad spectrum of pharmacological properties of linden inflorescence extracts results from polarity and the level of hydrophilic-lipophilic balance of solvents (medium) used to separate compatible phytochemical structures with the expected pharmacotherapeutic profile. Objective: The use of the general Hildebrand-Scatchard-Fedors theory of solubility to calculate the predicted solubility of classes of phytochemicals contained in linden inflorescences (Tiliae flos) and the indication of those structures which, due to their high solubility in the medium, are responsible for the profile of pharmacological activity. Material and methods: The Hildebrand, Scatchard equation, supported with computational technique proposed by Fedors, allows calculation of the solubility parameters of the extraction medium. Despite application reservations, it is a fundamental tool for estimating the predictable solubility of phytochemicals in real solution. Results: The structure of phytochemicals isolated from linden inflorescences (Tiliae flos) owing to the use of solvents of significantly diversified polarity (– dielectric constant – ε$\text{}_{M}$) was the basis for calculating the molar evaporation energy – ΣΔE$\text{}_{i}$ (cal/mol) and molar volume – ΣΔV$\text{}_{i}$ (cm$\text{}^{3}$/mol) by Fedors method, which are fundamental quantities necessary to estimate the solubility parameter– δ$\text{}^{1}\text{}^{/}\text{}^{2}$ and required solubility level of hydrophilic-lipophilic balance – HLB$\text{}_{Requ.}$. Conclusions: Results of the presented research indicate that basing on the parameters characterizing the structure of phytochemicals and the calculated ideal (–logx$\text{}_{2}^{i}$) and predicted real (–logx$\text{}_{2}$) solubility, it is possible – using the general Hildebrand-Scatchard-Fedors theory of solubility – to choose selectively the cascade of extraction media in order to distinguish in the plant material chemical and structural individuals of different polarity.

    In the seasons 2004 and 2006, interdisciplinary researches at the settlement of the early phase of Eastern Linear Pottery Culture at Moravany were continued. Archaeological excavations have limited spatial dimension compared to previous seasons, as a priority in the years 2004-2006 was the completion of the palaeoeconomic, paleoenvironmental and chronological analyses. I.a. 14 new radiocarbon dates were obtained. In conjunction with the absolute dates obtained previously and with typological evidence it gives rise to dating of the settlement for a period between about 5500 and 5300/5200 BC.

    The main subject of research in this paper is glauconite with its useful parameters, which is the object of exploitation in the “Górka Lubartowska-Niedźwiada” deposit. The main glauconitic horizon (lower Eocene) is built by loamy fine-grained and medium greenish sands with marine fauna and fragments of amber (ca. 7 m thick). Thin lamins and pockets of silts containing phosphorites and also glauconitic sands with underlaying very thin quartz-glauconitic sands are found at the bottom of this layer. The glauconite deposit in “Górka Lubartowska-Niedźwiada” is an amount of ca. 30% by volume of the main glauconitic horizon. Glauconite of the 1M polytype (XRD) shows large granulometric and morphological differentiation (SEM-EDS). It frequently contains aggregations of euhedral or framboidal pyrite grains (RS), which is indicative of the euxinic nature of the formation environment of the rocks under study. The individual glauconite grains show distinct chemical variability, manifested in a lower share of Al2O3 and an increased content of MgO and CaO (EPMA, XRF). At the same time, a large share of K2O (above 8% by weight) allows it to be included in highly matured glauconite, thus it can be considered as a potential raw material for the production of mineral fertilizers. The association of glauconite with phosphates (SEM-EDS) and anatase inclusions in the grains of glauconite (RS) indirectly point to the contribution of the decomposing organic matter to the formation of grains of this mineral. The xylite fragments preserved in the sediment show a low degree of coalification, which is typical of soft lignite. This also shows that the transformation process was taking place under a relatively small overburden.
    Złoże piasków glaukonitowych „Górka Lubartowska-Niedźwiada” znajduje się na obszarze Niziny Podlaskiej (E Polska). Właściwy horyzont glaukonitowy (dolny eocen) budują silnie zailone, drobno- i średnioziarniste piaski, barwy zielonkawej, zawierające faunę morską a także okruchy bursztynu (ok. 7 m miąższości). W spągu tych osadów pojawiają się drobne laminy i soczewki zailonego, zdiagenezowanego mułku glaukonitowego z otoczakami i konkrecjami fosforytów oraz warstwa drobno- i średnioziarnistych piasków glaukonitowych, podścielona bardzo drobną laminą zwartego piaskowca kwarcowo-glaukonitowego. Badaniom poddano piaski kwarcowo-glaukonitowe, próbki piaskowca kwarcowo-glaukonitowego oraz 10 drobnych kawałków ksylitu z osadów czwartorzędowych dolnych. Glaukonit obecny w tych osadach w politypie 1M wykazuje duże zróżnicowanie granulometryczne i morfologiczne. Tworzy formy agregatowe, zazwyczaj zawierające framboidalne lub euhedralne kryształy pirytu wskazujące na euksyniczny charakter środowiska powstawania badanych skał. Glaukonit ten zawiera wyraźnie niższy udział glinu (Al2O3), natomiast podwyższony udział magnezu (MgO) i wapnia (CaO). W analizowanych ziarnach glaukonitu średni udział K2O jest wysoki, zatem można go zaliczyć do glaukonitu wysoko dojrzałego. Mimo stosunkowo wysokiej zawartości żelaza może być on potencjalnym surowcem do produkcji nawozów mineralnych. Asocjacja glaukonitu z fosforanami (SEM-EDS) oraz wrostki anatazu w ziarnach glaukonitu (RS) pośrednio wskazują na udział rozkładającej się materii organicznej w tworzeniu się ziaren tego minerału. Zachowane w osadzie fragmenty ksylitów wykazują niski stopień uwęglenia, co jest typowe dla miękkiego węgla brunatnego. Świadczy to jednocześnie, że proces przeobrażeń zachodził pod stosunkowo niedużym nadkładem.
