Opis:
The Polish press in exile’s interest in Norwegian affairs began when Germany attacked Denmark and Norway in April 1940, at which time Polish soldiers were sent to Narvik to participate in the Allies’ defence of the country. The battle of Narvik became a symbol of Polish-Norwegian solidarity and reactivated existing Polish traditions of identifying themselves with those fighting “for our freedom and yours” For a long time Norway was associated in Polish minds with the expedition to Narvik. The subject was frequently raised in the emigre Polish press and in separate publications during the course of the War. This interest in Norway was enhanced by a community spirit and a shared political aim: the defeat o f Germany and the liberation of the homeland. Therefore Polish journalists recorded all kinds of Norwegian propaganda in Britain, important statements made by the King, Haakon VII, and by the government in exile. Polish commentators also presented Norway as a victim of German aggression. Numerous articles described the conditions of every day life under German occupation; issues related to food shortages, the lack of basic articles as clothes and fuel were all repeatedly exposed. From the end of 1941 this media coverage presented its readers with a picture of a nation that was actively resisting occupation. The difficult question of Vidkun Quisling’s collaboration with the Germans was, however, dealt with separately by Polish publicists.

Opis:
Gastrooesophageal reflux disease is the regurgitation of stomach contents into the esophagus, which causes troublesome symptoms or complications for the patient. Before starting the treatment, it is always necessary to objectively confirm gastroesophageal reflux disease, especially in correlation with ENT symptoms, as extra esophageal complications. In diagnostics, the "gold standard" is a 24-hour impedance-pH supplemented with endoscopy. Treatment without objective confirmation of the disease is not recommended, the more so that non-acid gas proximal reflux, detectable only in the MIIpH test, causes the greatest number of laryngological complications. It is important to confirm the coexistence of clinical symptoms of GERD with ESS. Considering the time of treating the disease and its consequences, it is worthwhile to be cautious and careful with the diagnosis of the disease, and the treatment should be carried out for a long time in relation to the recommendation, preferably in cooperation with an ENT specialist and gastroenterologist. The greatest therapeutic effectiveness is achieved by combining PPI with itopride while maintaining the appropriate doses of drugs and observing a sufficiently long duration of treatment, while maintaining the correct dose reduction and drug discontinuation regimen. In case of failure of pharmacological treatment, antireflux surgery should be take into consideration.

Opis:
For many years, the amount of waste generated on a global scale has shown an increasing tendency and their management and logistic is becoming a growing problem for most countries in the world. Waste management is an important issue to be addressed, as it concerns the three basic pillars of sustainable development: social, economic, and environmental. Therefore, it seems necessary to take initiatives to reduce the amount of waste generated and improve the waste management system. The article aims to analyse changes in the way of waste management and logistics in the European Union countries and the classification of these countries on the basis of the achieved effects in waste management. The article analyses three selected factors that reflect the effects of achieving environmental objectives in waste management. The cluster analysis method was used for the analysis. It found that EU countries differ in the quality of the results achieved in waste management, depending on the achievement of environmental management and sustainability objectives. In addition, the results of the analysis showed that the time factor has a significant impact on the classification of countries. High dynamics of the quality of effects in waste management were observed in the period under review.
