Opis:
On landing operation, a brutal contact with the dech or ground, can damage the plane or chopper and hurt the pilot, the crew or the passengers. The paper presents the advantages confer by suspensions using VZN dampers, in this situation. The Romanian self adjustable damper (shock-absorber) concept- VZN-granted with European Patent EU 1190184 and Romanian Patent 118546 assures damping coefficients increasingly by stroke from lower value up to the very high values, giving thus possibility to dissipate a huge energy at all speed regimes high, medium or low. With a convenient damping valve placement and/or dimension, the VZN concept confers possibilities to assure constant decelerationforces, at the human body limit resistance, this solution dissipating the maximal energy ąuantity. The paper indicates solutions for VZN tuning in order to be used to realize constant deceleration at crash and developed one of them for a practical device realizes. The samples where developed so to be realized with components used in actual automotive shock absorber manufacturing, so prototypes being easy to realize. Despite the simulations was realized considering standard damper dissipating energy function piston speed, not sąuare piston speed, the standard damper dissipated 48.5% lower energy comparative to VZN one. This means in the same situation in which VZN damper reduces constant speed from 20 [km/h] to zero, the standard dampers reduces speed up to 11.5[km/h], then collapsing the aerial vehicle.

Opis:
Shock absorber with cylindrical actuator is a new concept of integrated damper with floating device, in international patent application PCT/EP2016/061515, with wide application in road, rail and aerial vehicles. Comparative to the known solution with rubber sleeves or bellows, the new one is capable to work at more increased pressure being more compact and due to metallic cylinder is more reliable. The other important advantage consists of it applicability at any kind of shock absorber without any special preparation, the solution consisting of replacing the dust shield with a pneumatic cylinder sealed against rod with a gasket and sliding closed in the lower part by sealing element/s fitted in trough/troughs practiced in an annular body fastened against the outer cylinder. For a better behaviour the patent application contains and solutions with double sliding sealing working at high pressure and thus assuring enough floating forces to sustain the vehicle without standard metallic spring so it can be utilized successfully in aerial vehicles landing gear. By using displacement and pressure transducers and equipment of control and command, it becomes an active suspension. The paper presents the double sliding sealing solution and demonstrates, by simulation the advantages confer by this new solution of shock absorber with cylindrical actuator in landing gear. This purpose was realized a virtual suspension model on which simulated hard landing for vehicle load and unload states, for different pneumatic spring preloaded forces.

Opis:
Biostratigraphic analysis of fossils material has allowed the documentation of sediment gravity flows in the Skole basin during the Paleocene and Eocene times, and also in the Eocene-Oligocene transition. This most external basin of the NE Outer Carpathians was a marginal sea especially sensitive to geotectonic instability and relative sea-level change, favoring the development of down slope movements at these times. The dominance of calcareous forms in foraminifera, and a large share of redeposited species among the nanno- and microfossils indicate a close relationship of sediments containing them with the shelf environment and documents not too long transport. Additionally the recycled forms are often well preserved, indicating that the rock contained in flows were only plasticized and hydrated while the material itself was not a subject of significant mechanical processing in contrast to that one, which directly documented down slope moving. The latter forms are bad preserved and their fossil remains are usually corroded, partially dissolved and broken during this process. In addition, the planktonic forms including foraminifera, calcareous dinocysts and nannoplankton allow documenting the time of the final deposition of the sediment transported on slope.

Opis:
The paper presents a quarter car model two degrees of freedom (wheel and body), with vertical guiding system, the model being equipped with suspension stroke limiters and with excitation by wheel and/ or by body. The model reproduces elastic and damping characteristics of wheel and of rebound and compression stopper bumpers, the spring elastic characteristic and the shock absorber damping characteristic on rebound and compression, function piston speed. The road profile is generated with simple or summation of harmonic functions, or by reproducing real roads. The forces acting on full vehicle body e.g. aerodynamic and inertial forces are reproduced in the proposed quarter model by vertical forces reduced to the analysed quarter part. Thus, the model can be used for evaluation the vertical and horizontal stability at acceleration, deceleration, pitch and roll, at aerial forces, the body ground clearance and the comfort. The model can evaluate the influence of the damping and elastic characteristics of suspension and wheel, of the static position, of the vehicle load state, of the road profile and of the external forces, to the vehicle behaviour

In the paper the test results are presented for the AlSH2Cu5Ni5MgO.5CrO.05MoO.05WO.05VO.05 newly worked out silumin close to eutectic piston-silumin with the elevated content ofcopper and nickel to approx. 5% with relation to generally applied the AISH2 piston silumin. The novel silumin contains also Cr, Mo, In and V micro alloy additions in quantity approx. 0.05 percent for every element. Research of microstructure, HB hardness and coefficient of lineal thermal expansion a for the AlSil2Cu5Ni5MgO.5CrO.05MoO.05WO.05VO.05 silumin in the cast state, after the separation strengthening and additional short duration high-temperature heat-treatment were performed. Research of the microstructure of the AlSH2Cu5Ni5MgO.5CrO.05MoO.05WO.05VO.05 silumin showed the occurrence in it following constituent phases: alfa(Al), beta(Si), Al2Cu and AlMoCrWVMgNiSiCuFe. The separation strengthening brought about the coagulation of silicon emissions. The short duration high-temperature heat-treatment caused additional coagulation of silicon emissions and also its coalescence. Measurement of the HB hardness showed high hardness investigated alloy in the rough state, approx. 30% higher from the AlSi2 piston silumin. Measurement of the a coefficient of thermal expansion showed beneficial effects of novel alloy connected with the value decreasing of this coefficient as well so called hysteresis. Further studies on novel alloy will concentrate on alloy-additional and processes of the heat treatment.

Opis:
In this article a passive system, which exploits the properties of the Coulomb friction and leads to high affordability of controlling shocks and vibrations by means of cheap devices is presented. The friction force developed by the proposed device is dependent on the motion stroke by convenient modulation of contact force between the elements of friction coupling. For providing the system self-centring properties or necessary vertical load capacity, coil springs can be incorporated into the device structure. The device hysteresis characteristic can be simply adjusted to comply with requirements of the considered application. A general mathematical model of device dynamic behaviour is developed and applied to shock and vibration isolation systems. The article presents a novel passive device with variable friction which hysteresis force-displacement characteristics have “butterfly” shape, achieved by appropriate design of friction coupling. This shape of hysteresis loops can mitigate the drawbacks of constant friction devices. The schematic of mechanical systems to analyse the dynamic behaviour of shock and vibration isolation systems with variable friction device are shown.

The paper presents selected results of tests on the Fiat Panda I car powered by 1.2 dm3 spark ignition engine. The engine had production installed fuel system with the single-point petrol injection. To improve its in-service performance, the engine was fitted with the multi-point injection fuel system. The assessment of the indicators of the work of the engine, fitted with single-point, or alternatively, multi-point injection fuel system, was conducted on the basis of the tests performed on the MAHA chassis dynamometer. First, tests were run for single-point injection fuel system. Next, the same tests were performed when the engine was fitted with the multi-point injection fuel system. In the tests, engine power, torque, fuel consumption and the concentrations of the exhaust gas components were measured. The latter included carbon monoxide CO, carbon dioxide C02, hydrocarbons HC, nitrogen oxides NOx, and oxygen 02. AVL Digas 4000 exhaust gas analyser was used to take measurements of the concentrations of the basic components of the exhaust gas and of the excess air ratio %u03BB. The investigations were conducted by performing the inertia test and by using the dynamometer to determine the basic indicators of the engine operation. In the investigations, the crankshaft rotational speed ranged from 1500 to 6500 rpm with 500 rpm step. The experimental results made it possible to evaluate how the manner and site of fuel delivery affect the engine -work indicators.

Opis:
The aim of this study was to verify the hypothesis that the health and growth of turkey poults may be improved by supplementing diets fed to parent flocks with available selenium. Experimental poults originated from parent flocks fed with diets containing 0.3 mg/kg inorganic selenium (control group SeM) and organic selenium (experimental group SeO). Egg yolk selenium content was comparable in both flocks (0.72 and 0.70 mg/kg d.m., respectively). Eggs from the SeO flock had a significantly lower content of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances - TBARS (31.13 vs. 53.10 nmol/g, p > 0.001). SeO group poults were characterized by higher activity of glutathione peroxidase (7.54 vs. 5.92 U/mL, P = 0.001) and superoxide dismutase (89.30 vs. 79.23 U/mL, P = 0.026). The thigh muscles of SeO group birds had significantly higher selenium concentrations (0.74 vs. 0.57, p = 0.045) and a significantly lower TBARS content (38.42 vs. 65.01, p = 0.001). No differences were found between the groups with respect to the content of total protein, albumins and uric acid, and the activites of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and lactate dehydrogenase (DLH) in day-old poults. On day 28, groups SeO and SeM differed in the activity of ALT (20.50 vs. 26.33, p = 0.05) and SOD (87.29 vs. 100.02 U/mL, p = 0.035). There were no differences between the groups regarding the percentages of T lymphocyte subpopulations CD4+, CD8+, CD4+CD8+ and B lymphocyte subpopulations (IgM+) at 1 and 28 days of age. Over the experimental period, mortality rates were similar in both groups (7.32 and 8.87%), and so were the final body weights of birds (1108 vs. 1135 g). The results of the study show that the dietary supplementation of organic selenium in turkey parent flocks reduces the rate of oxidation processes in the egg and in the tissues of newly-hatched poults, yet it has no effect on the analyzed parameters of cell-mediated immunity and the growth performance of birds during the first five weeks of their life.

Opis:
The objective of this study was to determine the effect of whole wheat feeding on selected parameters of humoral and cell-mediated immunity in growing turkeys. A total of 210 one-day-old heavy-type Hybrid Converter male turkeys were randomly divided into three different dietary treatment groups, each consisting of 7 replicate pens of 10 birds per pen. Until 4 wk of age, all birds were fed a commercial diet formulated to meet nutrient requirements. From 5 to 12 wk of age, diets were composed of wheat (ground-pelleted or whole grain) and protein-fat-mineral-vitamin concentrate. The total wheat concentration in diets was 500 or 600 g/kg in the feeding periods of 5-8 and 9-12 wk of birds’ age, respectively. Whole grain wheat had a 0, 50 or 100% share of the total wheat amount in the daily ration in treatment groups W₀, W₅₀ or W₁₀₀, respectively. Commercial vaccines against ND (Newcastle disease) and TRT (Turkey rhinotracheitis) were administered to turkeys via the drinking water on days 20 and 30, respectively. Over the entire experiment, a significant linear decrease was observed in body weight gains (BWG) with increasing dietary levels of whole grain wheat. As a result the BWG of control turkeys (W₀) were significantly higher than the BWG of group W₁₀₀ birds (P = 0.002). A significant linear increase in feed conversion ratio (FCR) was observed with increasing dietary levels of whole grain wheat (P < 0.001). The levels of antibodies against TRT and ND viruses after immunization were significantly higher in both the W₅₀ and W₁₀₀ group, in comparison to group W₀ (P = 0.006 and P = 0.001, respectively). Turkeys from group W₅₀, in comparison to those from groups W₀ and W₁₀₀, had a significantly higher percentage of CD4⁺ T cell subpopulation within the lymphocytes isolated from blood and ileal mucosa, as well as CD4⁺ CD8⁺ and CD8⁺ T cell subpopulations within the blood immunocompetent cells (P = 0.022, P = 0.029, P = 0.009 and P = 0.011, respectively). In the cecal tonsils, the percentage of CD8⁺ T cell subpopulation was significantly lower in group W₅₀ than in groups W₀ and W₁₀₀ (P = 0.014). The results of our study indicate that diluting diets with whole grain wheat stimulates the non-specific cell-mediated defense mechanisms of the gastrointestinal immune system in turkeys, thus positively affecting humoral response after vaccination.
