Opis:
European Russia has been the source of many procolophonoid taxa from both the Permian and Triassic, and a Permian origin for the procolophonoid family Procolophonidae has been based on the Russian taxon Microphon exiguus. Recently, this taxon was reclassified as a seymouriamorph and, in its place, the taxa Nyctiphruretus, Suchonosaurus, and Kinelia from the Middle and Upper Permian of Russia were suggested as “procolophons”, using evolutionary−systematic classification methods. In recent phylogenies, however, Nyctiphruretus has been recovered as a non–procolophonoid parareptile, whereas Kinelia and Suchonosaurus have never been included in a phylogenetic study. Re−examination indicates that Suchonosaurus is a member of the procolophonoid subfamily Procolophonidae based on the shape of the maxillary bone and the external naris, the laterally visible maxillary depression, and the number and type of maxillary teeth. Kinelia, on the other hand, is excluded from the Procolophonoidea because of its subpleurodont dental attachment and lack of any procolophonoid features. Thus, Suchonosaurus is the only confirmed Permian procolophonid from the Permian of Russia. Additionally, re−examination of the holotype of Microphon exiguus confirms that it is identical to the seymouriamorph specimens recently included in the genus Microphon and that it lacks procolophonoid features. The earliest unequivocal record of the subfamily Procolophonidae is confirmed from the Late Permian of Russia, making Russia the only region where, with certainty, both Permian and Triassic procolophonids have been discovered.

Starting from a subjective viewpoint on the decreasing interest in invertebrate fossil taxonomy, this essay discusses its importance in palaeobiological studies exemplified with cases from the palaeobiogeography and palaeoecology of rugose corals, and aims at provoking a discussion on the topic. The possible causes of this negative declining trend include inherent problems of palaeontological taxonomy, and changing systems in science and higher education.

This study describes the megaspore assemblages from the Ryabinsk Member of the Vokhma Formation of the Moscow Syneclise. The genus Otynisporites is emended, three new species, Maexisporites meditectatus, M. rugulaeferus and Otynisporites maculosus, are erected, and one new combination, Maexisporites grosstriletus, is proposed. Megaspore descriptions relate the gross morphology and fine structure of the exine surface of thirteen taxa. From the appearance of the exine surface and ornamentation processes, it appears that some forms currently included in certain genera according to their morphological features do not belong to them. The assemblage from Sholga is evidently of low diversity at the generic level, possibly reflecting the end-Permian biotic crisis. The composition of the megaspore assemblages indicates their Induan age.megaspores taxonomy palynostratigraphy Triassic Induan Russia

The maritime transportation system is increasingly a target of cyber attacks. This paper describes a taxonomy that supports the creation of adversarial cyber models, risk mitigation, and resiliency plans as applied to the maritime industry, using the Automatic Identification System as a specific illustration of the approach. This method has already been applied to the aviation sector; retooling it for a maritime example demonstrates its broad applicability to the transportation sector, in general.

Opis:
Although intraspecies researches within the black pine (Pinus nigra Arnold) have a long tradition, the intraspecies taxonomy, classification and chorology are still unclear. Among the numerous reasons that have caused this situation the most important are: the absence of a study that would completely cover the whole range of this species, the impossibility of connection of results of the existing detailed studies of certain areas, and the high variability of traits which have been used so far. Since the characteristics of the molecular systematic techniques could make possible the research free of the mentioned shortages, the intention of this study was to determine the relationships among nine populations of black pine using the random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD). The obtained results were compared to the recent results of the morphological and anatomical analysis of the leaves of the same populations. The RAPD results clearly divided the Croatian populations from populations of Austria (subsp. nigra) and Turkey (subsp. pallasiana), while among Croatian populations, as in previous study, the existence of several groups (subsp. illyrica, subsp. dalmatica and transitional population between them) was noticed. It is assumed that the optimisations conducted in this study will finally make possible estimating the relationships on the level of the whole range of the black pine and the classification based on molecular traits that are probably less dependent on environmental influences than it has been the case with the characteristics mostly used so far.

Opis:
The situation of microenterprises on the market is difficult as they are faced with barriers and competitiveness imposed by larger units. We used data from the REGIOGMINA project to assess the situation of microenterprises. The REGIOGMINA project was implemented by a consortium of Kujawsko–Pomorskie Voivodship, the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń in the scope of the GOSPOSTRATEG initiative. This data set was complemented by data provided by the Local Data Bank of Statistics Poland. The analysis describes the situation in Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship. The information from both sources illustrates the situation of microenterprises at a local level (gmina) in the years 2019–2020. A cluster analysis based on taxonomy methods was performed. The aim of the research is to expand the knowledge and contribute to a better understanding of the social and economic problems that microenterprises are confronted with at a local level. The study covers the period before the COVID-19 pandemic and the first year following its outbreak, which makes it possible to assess the effects that the measures taken against the pandemic had on the situation of microenterprises at a local level.

The location of stomata and the structural details of exostome teeth and endostome segments are among the most important taxonomic features used for identifying Orthotrichum species. Certain species pairs (e.g. O. stramineum vs. O. pallens; O. pumilum vs. O. stellatum) are distinguished based on the presence or absence of hair on the vaginula. The authors have shown that this feature is not always appropriate for species identification. Some specimens of O. affine, O. anomalum or O. speciosum were found to have a hairy vaginula, although this feature is not included in their description. The confusion with species determination was resolved in a subsequent DNA analysis of the specimens. The reliability of this character is briefly discussed in the paper.

‘Bloom's Taxonomy of Educational’ Objectives has been a mainstay of educational theory for over fifty years. In 2001 the original taxonomy was revised. This article uses Bloom's revised framework to design small groups in online classes. The author draws on his extensive experience in using small groups in face-to-face classes as well as fifteen years of experience with small groups in a variety of undergraduate and graduate online classes. He particularly addresses the need to design small groups that focus on Bloom's higher order category of „Create”. Suggestions for future research are also included.

The types of the species belonging to the fusulinid genera Schubertella and Eoschubertella were examined from publications and type collections. Eoschubertella in general possesses all the features of Schubertella and therefore is a junior synonym of the latter. However, the concept of Eoschubertella best describes the genus Schubertina with its type species Schubertina curculi. Schubertina is closely related to the newly established genus Grovesella the concept of which is emended in this paper. Besides Schubertella, Schubertina, and Grovesella, the genera Mesoschubertella, Biwaella are reviewed and three new species, Grovesella nevadensis, Biwaella zhikalyaki, and Biwaella poletaevi, are described. The phylogenetic relationships of all Pennsylvanian–Cisuralian schubertellids are also proposed. Barrel−shaped Grovesella suggested being the very first schubertellid that appears sometimes in the middle–late Bashkirian time. In late Bashkirian it is then developed into ovoid to fusiform Schubertina. The latter genus gave rise into Schubertella in early Moscovian. First Fusiella derived from Schubertella in late Moscovian, Biwaella—in early Gzhelian and Boultonia—in late Gzhelian time. Genus Mesoschubertella also developed from Schubertella at least in Artinskian, but may be in late Sakmarian.
