Enterprises which want to ensure a secure and stable market position must constantly look for ways to convince customers (current and potential) that their goods and services are competitive and represent a sufficiently high level of quality, consistent with the their needs. Service enterprises use specific methods and tools to analyze the quality of their services and to be sure that these services are competitive on the market. One of the important elements of such an analysis is the assessment of customer satisfaction. This research should be treated as a key stage in the customer satisfaction management system. Without knowing the customers' expectations, the enterprise is unable to determine what to improve and correct. In this case, the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), which not only indicates what to improve, but also shows the level of customer satisfaction, should be used. The purpose of the paper is to assess customer satisfaction in a service point of a known producer of men's clothes. The CSI index and a specially developed survey were used for the research. The questionnaire was filled in by the customers of the research service point after the service delivery. According to the obtained results, individual determinants should be maintained and monitored by the enterprise. The research also identified areas for improvement, i.e. product quality, design and ways of payment. However, the overall CSI score is good, which means that despite few problems with customers' satisfaction, they are satisfied with the research service point.

The realization of citizens (participatory) budgets became one of the fixed duties incumbent upon the authorities of Polish cities. Local governments still more willingly engage their respective citizens and enable them to make decisions related not only to local finances. Social consultations are an exceptionally important process allowing the administration to get acquainted with the public opinion or proposals put forward by the citizens who are – directly or indirectly – affected by the problems in question. Until 2019, Polish participatory budgets were realized based on the provisions of The Gmina Self-Government Act of 8 March 1990; or, to put it more precisely, based on Article 5a, which provided that when it comes to the issues which are important for a gmina, social consultations with citizens may be conducted. However, social consultations are not binding. On the other hand, as for participatory budgets, a different solution was adopted. The authorities of gminas declared that the decisions made by citizens will be recognized as binding by the former (Kraszewski, Mojkowski, 2014). The amendment of the wording of the relevant acts hitherto operative urges the author of the present paper to pose at this point the question about the necessity of legal regulations pertinent to the mechanism of a participatory budget. Did Polish budgets actually call for such wordings? And, will particular solutions included in the Act lead in the near future to diminishing the budget’s role in shaping broadly understood participation among citizens? Taking heed of the imperfections of the said wordings, the present paper constitutes an attempt at pointing to the problems posed by the Act itself that local governments are facing.The main research method applied by the author to the subject matter contained herein is an analysis of sources; and in particular, an analysis of the wordings of the Act of 11 January 2018 on amending certain acts to increase the participation of citizens in the process of electing, operating and controlling certain public bodies (Journal of Laws 2018.130).

The objective of the article is to present a group intervention program in the narrative approach with parents of adolescents who suffer from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). For this purpose, the article will review the characteristic difficulties of parents of adolescents who have ADHD, the principles of the narrative approach, and the contribution of the group in work in this approach. On this basis, the initial intervention program, which addresses unique components intended to answer the difficulties and content worlds of this population of parents, will be presented. This article will express the parents’ strengths and the difficulties that they face and the group processes that influenced the change in the perceptions and behaviors of parents of adolescents with ADHD. These contents were learned from the pilot group of the research study. Five parents, primarily mothers, of children aged twelve to fourteen who suffer from ADHD participated in the group. The article will address one of the significant difficulties that arose in the encounters with the parents, the behavior of the adolescent who has ADHD regarding the religious identity and behavior appropriate for the values upon which he was educated. The contribution of the research study lies in that it offers parents support and ways of coping with the stress and emotional load that accompanies their coping with the adolescent who has ADHD.

At the beginning of the article the authors referred to the consumer, the factors affecting his or her choices and the decision-making process. Subsequently, the factors and circumstances determining the consumer’s choice of a loan denominated in the Swiss franc (CHF) in Poland were specified. In the following section there wa presented an analysis of the value of granted CHF loans in the period from 07.2008 to 05.2022. It was assumed that the analysed group regards: a family of 2+2, i.e., two working individuals with incomes equal to 150% of a minimum wage; a loan of PLN 250,000 to be repaid over 30 years, disbursed on 1.08.2008 in one tranche, being repaid since 1.09.2008. A comparative analysis entailed three selected banks. In the summary, the authors referred to the main hypothesis: despite the knowledge of the economic conditions, the consumer possesses a lower disposable income when choosing a CHF credit, and two auxiliary hypotheses: hypothesis 1 was that home loans denominated in CHF, despite having a lower interest rate are less favourable to the borrower in the long run than the loans denominated in the Polish zloty, and hypothesis 2 was that in the process of deciding upon a bank, the consumer is guided by economic factors.

According to the latest reports, obtaining a loan as a company seems to be becoming increasingly easy, but it is still noticeable that a good quarter of small and young companies in the start-up phase in particular are still being turned down for financing. In order not to make the failure rate dependent on mathematical-scalable values alone and to give the really good companies and business ideas a realistic chance, more soft skills must be included in the decision-making process in addition to the pure hard facts. Purpose: The purpose of the research was to find out the correlation between the motivation and costs of internal or external locus of control and the propensity to mentor. Investment of time and per sonal energy was regarded as factors with an internal locus of control, whereas a lack of mentee’s achievement, problems caused by a mentee, unhealthy or unfriendly relation, and a risk to be replaced by a mentee were regarded as factors with an external locus of control. In the case of internal factors, their locus of control is the mentor him/herself while, in external factors, their locus is outside of the mentor and lies in a situation or an environment. Methodology: A quantitative cross-sectional study among Polish managers. Findings: First, the results show that uniquely intrinsic motivation relates to the propensity to men tor, while extrinsic motivation has no importance. Second, before deciding to mentor, managers estimate the costs of mentoring: the higher they are the lower the propensity to mentor. Third, the costs related to the internal locus of control – time and personal energy invested by a mentor in men toring – are most important when deciding to mentor. The risk of destroying a mentor’s reputation, problems caused by a mentee, unfriendly or unhealthy relationship and a risk to be replaced by a mentee emerged as of little importance. Fourth, previous experience as a mentor or mentee positi vely influences the propensity to mentor. Value: The study contributes to existing research, theory, and practice in the field of organizational behavior in the context of mentoring. The findings shed light on decision patterns in managers’ pro pensity to mentor and thoroughly explore the role of the anticipated cost of mentoring. null

The choice of the operator involves taking risks, especially when changing the way logistics is handled (e.g. from your own warehouse and distribution network to external – outsourced). The aim of the article is to present the most important factors that directly and indirectly influence purchasing decisions made by customers of logistics operators. In order to correctly determine the parameters of the selection of a logistics service provider in terms of quality, it is necessary to define quality requirements criteria that allow to meet specific KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to measure the satisfaction of the final recipient of the goods. The main goal of the article is to answer the question of how to define criteria to be relevant to customer expectations and how they affect final purchasing decisions in the context of choosing the operator to provide logistics services. In order to illustrate the full picture of the studied environment, as well as to maximally facilitate and encourage respondents to participate in the study, surveys were used mainly in the form of Internet, mostly containing closed and several open questions. The research was based on three research groups: logistics operators, customers of logistics operators and final recipients of services of logistics operators. In the individual groups, the survey invited: 1) about 80 companies from European logistics operators; 2) approx. 150 companies from Central and Western Europe dealing in production and trade according to the classification of economic activity; 3) over 2,000 people who have declared to buy various goods with delivery to the address indicated.
