Opis:: The presented approach to predict lifetime of avionic hydraulic drives belongs to a priori (accelerated) methods as by its nature it does not reeuire to continue tests until a hydraulic subassembly or drive reaches its boundary value of a structural parameter. The method uses distributions of a random variable with time-dependent variance as models for lifetime prediction. Variations of structural parameters over a discretional period of time are described with use of the Gaussian distribution with the assumption that the course of the process when the structural parameters are subject to deterioration comprises the entire probabilistic characteristic that defines resistance of the hydraulic drive to a wear and tear process. In that context distributions of characteristics for variations of structural parameters were determined for a selected period of time and it served as a basis to find out parameters for the distribution of the defect-free operation time. The completed functional and design decomposition of an example avionic hydraulic drive made it possible to obtain a hierarchical description of the hydraulic drive, to identify its structural parameters that are available during the drive operation as well as to define a set of measurable out put parameters of a system, a module (a hydraulic system) and a block (a hydraulic subassembly). The set of measurable output parameters attributable to the hydraulic system in question is described with use of mathematic equations that result from fundamental equations for hydraulic systems dynamics, i.e. the mass conservation law, the principle of momentum and angular momentum conservation as well as the energy conservation law.

Opis:: A statistical analysis is presented of tensile and bending strengths of a porous sintered structural steel which exhibits non-linear, quasi-brittle, behaviour. It is the result of existing natural flaws (pores and oxide inclusions) and of the formation of fresh flaws when stress is applied. The analysis is by two- and three-parameter Weibull statistics. Weibull modulus, a measure of reliability, was estimated by the maximum likelihood method for specimen populations < 30. Probability distributions were compared on the basis of goodness to fit using the Anderson-Darling tests. The use of the two-parameter Weibull distribution for strength data of quasi-brittle sintered steels is questioned, because there is sufficient evidence that the 3-parameter distribution fits the data better.

Opis:: Wykorzystując archiwalne dane kartograficzne, profile stratygraficzne 40 odwiertów, wyniki profilowań oporności, potencjałów polaryzacji naturalnej oraz wyniki interpretacji porowatości i zailenia, zbudowano modele strukturalno-parametryczne fałdu Grabownicy. Na ich podstawie opracowano dyskretny "model pseudofacjalny". Modelowania przedstawiono na przykładzie modelu 3D odwzorowującego zachodnie zamknięcie fałdu. Przedyskutowano niektóre aspekty metodyczne modelowania i wiarygodność uzyskanych wyników.
Using archival data from mapping, stratigraphy from 40 wells and resistivity and spontaneous potential logs, as well as porosity and clay content curves, the authors constructed structural-parametric models of the Grabownica Fold. On this basis, a discrete "pseudo-facies model" was developed. The modeling was exemplified by the 3D model that images the western closure of the fold. Some methodological aspects of the modeling and the reliability of results were discussed.

Opis:: The aim of this work was to determine the nature of the structural defects that have a major influence on the magnetisation process within the investigated alloys. The structure of the alloys in the as-quenched state was investigated by means of X-ray diffractometry. It was confirmed that the samples were amorphous. The magnetisation was measured within magnetic fields ranging from 0 to 2T using a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The investigation of the ‘magnetisation in the area close to ferromagnetic saturation’ showed that, for this class of alloys, the magnetisation process in strong magnetic fields is connected with the following two influences: 1) Firstly, the rotation of the magnetic moments in the vicinity of the defects, which are the sources of the short-range stresses, and, 2) The dumping of the thermally-induced spin waves by the magnetic field. In the case of the Fe₆₃CoY₇B₂₀ alloy, the magnetisation process is connected with both point and linear defects, whereas for the Fe₆₄Co₁₀Y₆B₂₀ alloy, only with linear defects. This suggests that the size of the defects, determining the character of the magnetisation in the vicinity of ferromagnetic saturation, depends on the atomic packing density. On the basis of analysis of the magnetisation curves, the spin wave stiffness parameter (D_sp) was calculated.
Celem pracy było określenie defektów strukturalnych mających decydujący wpływ na proces magnesowania stopów. Strukturę stopów w stanie po zestaleniu badano za pomocą rentgenowskiej analizy dyfrakcyjnej. Stwierdzono, że badane próbki były bezpostaciowe.. Magnetyzację mierzono w silnym polu magnetycznym (0-2 T) przy użyciu magnetometru wibracyjnego (VSM). Badania magnetyzacji w pobliżu ferromagnetycznego nasycenia wykazały, że proces przemagnesowania badanych stopów w silnych polach magnetycznych związany jest z obrotami momentów magnetycznych w pobliżu defektów będących źródłami naprężeń bliskiego zasięgu oraz z tłumieniem przez pole magnetyczne termicznie wzbudzanych fal spinowych. W przypadku stopu Fe,sub>63Co₁₀Y₇B₂₀ za proces magnesowania w silnych polach odpowiedzialne są defekty punktowe oraz liniowe, natomiast w stopie Fe₆₄Co₁₀Y₆B₂₀ tylko defekty liniowe. Wskazuje to, że wielkość defektów decydujących o charakterze zmian magnetyzacji w pobliżu ferromagnetycznego nasycenia zależy od gęstości upakowania atomów. Na podstawie analizy krzywych namagnesowania wyznaczono parametr sztywności fali spinowej D_sp.
