Opis:
Celem niniejszej pracy jest wskazanie propozycji jakościowych zmian, jakie winny nastąpić we współczesnych polskich szkołach. Przeciwstawiają się one traktowaniu uczniów w kategorii „biologizmu”, który warunkuje konieczność napełnienia ich wiedzą podawaną w postaci gotowej „pigułki”. Akcentując wolność uczniów do dokonywania własnych wyborów i ich gotowość do samorealizacji, propaguje zdobywanie wiedzy w sposób aktywny, twórczy, problemowy oraz przyjazny, ujmując uczniów jako suwerenów własnego rozwoju.
The aim of the present work is to indicate the qualitative proposals for changes to be made in the contemporary Polish schools. They oppose the “biologistic” approach to students, insisting on the need to fill them with knowledge in the form of a premade “pill”. By emphasising the freedom of students to make their own choices and their readiness for self-realisation, it promotes the acquisition of knowledge in an active, creative, problem-oriented and friendly way, picturing students as sovereigns of own development.

The study analyzes qualitatively the organizational changes steered by the Results Based Finance program (RBF) in Zimbabwe using a case study of Marondera and Zvishavane districts. The research findings are based on the key informants’ responses from focus group discussions and in-depth interviews. Some qualitative information was sourced from field observations and institutional RBF reports. It was established that significant organizational changes had been driven since the launch of the RBF program in the Marondera and Zvishavane districts in 2011. The changes were categorically stipulated in the RBF program implementation manual. The responsibilities of executive members at both the district and provincial levels expanded. Some of the changes include the introduction of District Steering Committees (DSCs) and Community Based Organizations (CBOs). Furthermore, Health Centre Committees (HCCs) were engaged in implementing the RBF program. Nevertheless, the organizational changes were not augmented by capacity building and empowerment amongst the CBOs, HCCs, and DSCs. Moreover, there was no adequate material and financial support for the new changes. Thus, there is a need to reinforce the organizational changes of health financing programs through robust capacity building among stakeholders engaged.

Opis:
Purpose: The purpose of the research is to analyze the role that sport plays in the lives of persons with physical disabilities within the process of rehabilitation and the improvement of their quality of life. Background: The article raises the notions of changes that take place in the life of a physically handicapped person which is due to their engagement in a sports activity. In the article, I refer to the subjective perspective of those researched, rendering their own point of view into the major subject of analysis. Methods: Qualitative data are exploited in the research, collected through a technique of unstructured interviews and undisguised observations conducted among the disabled practicing sports. Findings: The role of sport practiced by the disabled has been determined within several contexts, which were distinguished within the course of the research as analytical categories. Conclusion: On the basis of the research it was found that getting involved in a sports activity is significant within the process of experiencing life satisfaction, personal development and the reconstruction of the ego, self-identity, and transformations in the manner of perceiving both themselves and others. Therefore, a sports activity of a disabled person supports the rehabilitation process effectively.

Opis:
The 19th century was the age of changes in name giving in the Polish language. Most of the changes took place due to economic, political and ideological circumstances. The intensive development of the economy in the Polish Kingdom, less seen in the area of the Prussian borderlands, contributed to the naming of new hamlets. Their names are often connected to economic movements. The social and ideological changes have also contributed to the quality names. Many place names were derived from female names due to the social standing of women. All of the contextual factors mentioned above had a significant influence on the manner of creating new names in the 19th century.

In recent decades, society has fundamentally changed; there are political changes affecting education and, consequently, demands on teachers’ work change, as well as parents’ and society’s expectations of teachers. The main aim of this qualitative research is to map the changes in the conditions of teachers’ work in the Czech Republic in the last thirty years according to the subjective perception of teachers-experts, i.e. respondents. The respondents are teachers who have been active in the profession for at least thirty years. All the respondents are women working as primary school teachers (Dáša, Lucie, Jana, Danka, Blanka, Dominika, Karolína). In the research we deal with the following areas: interpersonal relationships at the workplace, communication and cooperation with pupils’ parents, and the teacher-pupil relationship. The most important results of this research are as follows. The respondents are aware of and perceive the decreasing authority of the teacher today. They point out that the teacher’s authority has degraded in the eyes of pupils, parents, and society. The most widespread problem faced by teachers is the disruptive behavior of pupils, which may interfere with teaching. Moreover, today’s teachers sometimes have to deal with parents who are completely uncritical of their children, whom they trust completely. When problems arise, these parents never see the root cause in their child but in other classmates or, most frequently, in the teacher. If a child receives a bad grade, these parents are willing to go to the teacher and try to find the error on their side rather than in their own children.

W ostatnich dziesięcioleciach społeczeństwo uległo zasadniczej zmianie. Dokonują się zmiany polityczne, które wpływają na edukację, a co za tym idzie, na wymagania dotyczące pracy nauczycieli, a także na oczekiwania rodziców i społeczeństwa wobec nauczycieli. Głównym celem przeprowadzonego badania jakościowego jest opis zmian warunków pracy nauczycieli w Czechach w ciągu ostatnich trzydziestu lat z perspektywy subiektywnego postrzegania badanych nauczycieli-ekspertów. Badani nauczyciele wykonują pracują w zawodzie od co najmniej trzydziestu lat. Wszystkie respondentki to kobiety pracujące jako nauczycielki w szkołach podstawowych (Dáša, Lucie, Jana, Danka, Blanka, Dominika, Karolína). W badaniach poddano analizie następujące obszary: stosunki interpersonalne w miejscu pracy, komunikację i współpracę z rodzicami uczniów oraz relację nauczyciel–uczeń.
