Opis:: W zarządzaniu projektem często stosuje się metody sieciowe. Wśród wielu takich metod wyróżnia się te, w których możliwe jest uwzględnienie niepewności, zarówno w czasach trwania czynności składających się na projekt, jak i samej struktury całego projektu. Metody o stochastycznej strukturze logicznej dają większe możliwości analizy projektu, ale zwykle są znacznie bardziej skomplikowane pojęciowo i trudniejsze w stosowaniu. W artykule zaproponowano modyfikację sieci PERT, jednej z najstarszych, ale wciąż popularnych metod o deterministycznej strukturze logicznej, tak aby w pewnym zakresie zyskała cechy sieci o stochastycznej strukturze logicznej z jednoczesnym zachowaniem swej prostoty i łatwości w stosowaniu.
Network methods are often used in project management. Among many such methods there are those in which it is possible to consider the uncertainty, both during the duration of the activities that make up the project, and the structure of the entire project itself. Methods with a stochastic logical structure give greater possibilities for design analysis, but they are usually much more complicated in terms of terms and more difficult to use. The article proposes the modification of the PERT network, one of the most popular methods with a deterministic logical structure, so that to some extent it acquires the features of a network with a stochastic logical structure while maintaining its simplicity and ease of use.

Opis:: The aim of the study was to analyze changes in tissue oxygen distribution resulting from temperature changes by the use of the Krogh cylinder model with Michaelis-Menten kinetics. A Hill model was also used to describe the oxyhemoglobin dissociation curve. In particular, variable values of parameters of dissociation curve and blood velocity in capillary were considered. Mathematical description was based on two separate equations for radial and axial directions. An additional task related to determination of the temperature, tissue thermal damage and perfusion was also solved. At the stage of numerical realization, the finite difference method was used.

Opis:: The paper presents a numerical analysis of the thermal damage process taking place in biological tissue containing a blood vessel during laser irradiation. The internal heat source resulting from laser irradiation based on the solution of the optical diffusion equation is taken into account. The investigation was concerned with the influence of tissue denaturation and oxygen content in blood on temperature distribution. The analysis of oxygen transport to the tissue is treated as a part of the analysis of thermal damage processes. At the stage of numerical computations, the boundary element method and the finite difference method were used.

Opis:: The article presents the concept of explanation styles and the theory of learned helplessness developed by cognitive psychologist Martin Seligman. His idea is very fruitful from the cognitive point of view, and, at the same time, it can be used in clinical practice. The author of the article presents Seligman’s theory with particular regard to the impact of a selected attribution style and learned helplessness on intrapsychological and interpersonal functioning of a human being. He has also highlighted deliberate application of a given style in order to avoid destructive effects. The author illustrates the concept under discussion with examples. The article also presents fundamental attribution errors and disfunctional beliefs that affect the correct assessment of the phenomena and, consequently, the emergence of errors in thinking and in attitudes towards the surrounding reality.

Opis:: This article is based on clinical observations and will discuss the psychological difficulties of adapting to old age from a psychodynamic perspective. To this end, the first part of this article discusses the normalcy of the aging process. Then, this article will analyze a variety of psychological variables that either disturb or accompany this process such as personality changes, body image, personal and professional fulfillment, satisfaction in relationships, self-esteem, acceptance of changes, and many more. The role of intimacy in old age will be discussed in a separate section, since this is an important element that has a significant impact on an individual’s ability to adjust to the aging process. Among other things, this article also considers such issues as resolving basic intrapsychic conflicts, the ability to draw from one’s inner strength and appeal to the constructive part of oneself, mourning various types of loss, establishing a realistic understanding of one’s self in relation to one’s ideal image of oneself, achieving inner harmony, etc. A cognitive approach will be used to present fundamental references to this topic.
W pierwszej części artykułu omówione zostaną prawidłowości procesu starzenia się u człowieka. Następnie analizowane będą różnorodne zmienne psychologiczne mogące mieć wpływ na zakłócenia w tym procesie, takie jak: zmienne osobowościowe, obraz ciała, spełnienie w roli osobistej i zawodowej, satysfakcja z relacji partnerskiej, samoocena, akceptacja procesu przemijania i zmian temu towarzyszących i wiele innych. W osobnym punkcie omówione zostaną zagadnienia życia intymnego w wieku starczym jako istotnym elemencie mogącym mieć znaczący wpływ na przebieg procesu adaptacji do procesu starzenia. Całość zaprezentowana zostanie z perspektywy psychodynamicznej, bazującej na obserwacjach klinicznych autora tego doniesienia, który praktykuje w tym nurcie od wielu lat. Poruszane będą m.in. takie kwestie jak: rozwiązywanie podstawowych konfliktów intrapsychicznych, umiejętność czerpania z wewnętrznej siły i odwoływanie się do części konstruktywnej w sobie, przeżycie żałoby po różnego typu utratach, budowanie adekwatnego obrazu siebie w stosunku do idealistycznego wyobrażenia, uzyskanie wewnętrznej harmonii itp. Zaprezentowane zostaną też podstawowe odniesienia do tematu w ujęciu poznawczym.

Opis:: Nie zawsze oddziaływanie lidera na otoczenie jest świadome, celowe, pozytywne i korzystnie generujące świadome, celowe, pożądane i lokalnie oczekiwane korzyści dla otoczenia w ogóle, a dla społeczeństwa lokalnego czy rdzennego w szczególności. Są przypadki na świecie, gdzie lider w przemyśle wydobywczym nastawiony jest w otoczeniu na zysk, a negocjacje władz samorządowych dotyczące rozbudowania infrastruktury w okolicznych miastach wokół kopalni są bezskuteczne. Inaczej jest w przypadku grona wydobywczego na terenie Zagłębia Miedziowego w Polsce, którego rozwój bezpośrednio przyczynił się do intensywnego rozwoju tutejszego społeczeństwa lokalnego. Rozwój ten można określić np. poziomem i stanem spełnienia przez lidera standardów społecznej odpowiedzialności biznesowej zawartych w międzynarodowych modelach CSR. Dlatego przeprowadzone badania wskazują z jednej strony na zakres determinantów tego rozwoju i specyfiki społeczeństwa lokalnego, jakie współistnieje w otoczeniu lidera. Z drugiej – na możliwość modelowania tego rozwoju i specyfiki dla jeszcze lepszych efektów, np. korzyści społecznych dla społeczności lokalnych czy rozwoju posiadanych specyficznych kompetencji ludności lokalnej (w ogóle lub zawodowo) lub też konkurencyjności tych społeczności w porównaniu do innych społeczeństw w otoczeniu podobnych liderów. Przejawem tej konkurencyjności są m.in. silnie rozwijające się i działające strefy ekonomiczne na terenie wspomnianej społeczności lokalnej.
A leader does not always have a conscious, intentional and positive influence on the environment that expediently generates conscious, intentional, desired and locally-expected benefits for the environment in general, and for the local or ethnic community in particular. There are examples in the world showing that in the case of mining industry an environmental leader is profit-oriented and the negotiations held by local government authorities regarding the development of infrastructure in the cities surrounding mines are ineffective. The situation is different in the case of the mining cluster on the territory of the Copper Belt in Poland, the development of which directly contributed to intensive development of the surrounding local community. The level and status of this development can be determined for instance by the level and status of fulfilment by its leader of corporate social responsibility standards set out in the CSR international models. Therefore, the studies that have been carried out indicate on one hand the scope of determinants of such development and the specific character of local community that coexists in the leader’s environment, and on the other hand they indicate a possibility of shaping the said development and specific character in order to achieve even better effects that is e.g. social benefits to the local communities in question or the development of their specific competencies of local people (in general or in professional terms) or competitiveness of such communities as compared to other communities in the environment of similar leaders. The competitiveness is reflected among others in the thriving economic zones operating in the area of the said local community.

Opis:: In the paper, the numerical analysis of thermal processes proceeding in a 2D soft biological tissue subjected to laser irradiation is presented. The transient heat transfer is described by the bioheat transfer equation in Pennes formulation. The internal heat source resulting from the laser-tissue interaction based on the solution of the diffusion equation is taken into account. Thermophysical and optical parameters of the tissue are assumed as directed intervals numbers. At the stage of numerical realization. the interval finite difference method has been applied. In the final part of the paper, the results obtained are shown.

Opis:: Jedną z cech państwa demokratycznego jest dążenie do zagwarantowania obywatelom współuczestnictwa w procesie zarządzania sprawami publicznymi. Jeżeli nie istnieją wyraźnie wskazane w odpowiednich przepisach powody, instytucje publiczne zobowiązane są do udzielenia dostępu do dokumentów publicznych i to w ustawowo określonym terminie. Z drugiej strony łatwy i powszechny dostęp do informacji charakterystyczny dla społeczeństwa informacyjnego może naruszać dobra osobiste obywateli, a także stanowić zagrożenie dla interesu publicznego. Ustanowione przepisy regulują także tę kwestię. Zagwarantowanie jednocześnie dostępu do danych i ochrony danych stoi w pozornej sprzeczności. Artykuł porusza kwestie prawne związane z wprowadzanymi rozwiązaniami. Przedstawiono dane statystyczne, ilustrujące zjawiska związane z dostępem do informacji publicznej. Zbadano także, jak wprowadzone przepisy funkcjonują w praktyce.
One of the features of a democratic state is to strive to guarantee citizens participation in the process of managing public affairs. If there are no specific reasons indicated in the relevant regulations, public institutions are obliged to grant access to public documents within the statutory deadline. On the other hand, easy and universal access to information characteristic of the information society may violate the personal rights of citizens and may also be a threat to the public interest. The provisions laid down also regulate this issue. Guaranteeing at the same time access to data as well as data protection is in apparent contradiction. The article deals with legal issues related to the introduced solutions. Statistical data illustrating phenomena related to access to public information were presented. It was also examined how the introduced regulations work in practice.

Opis:: Wraz ze wzrostem możliwości obliczeniowych komputerów i upowszechnieniu technologii obliczeń chmurowych rośnie znaczenie metod symulacyjnych, w szczególności metody Monte Carlo. Jakość uzyskanych wyników w dużej mierze zależy od zastosowanych w tej metodzie ciągów liczbowych. W artykule przybliżono zagadnienie tworzenia oraz zastosowania ciągów pseudolosowych i quasilosowych. Celem niniejszej publikacji było eksperymentalne zbadanie różnic w uzyskanych wynikach przy zastosowaniu różnych ciągów liczbowych dla zagadnień o dużej liczbie stopni swobody.
Along with the increase in computing capabilities of computers and the spread of cloud computing technologies, the importance of simulation methods, in particular the Monte Carlo method, grows. The quality of the obtained results largely depends on the number sequences used in this method. The article presents the issue of creating and applying pseudorandom and quasi-random sequences. The aim of this publication was to experimentally investigate the differences in the obtained results using different number sequences for problems with a large number of degrees of freedom.

Opis:: The purpose of the study was to analyze the combined model of bioheat transfer and oxygen distribution in tissue during exposition to the external heat impulse. The effect of temperature and thermal damage to the tissue on the values of its thermophysical parameters was taken into account. The variable value of the perfusion coefficient affects the blood velocity in the capillary and thus the distribution of the partial oxygen pressure in the tissue. Various models of the oxygen dissociation curves were also considered and a sensitivity analysis was performed for the parameters of the oxygen distribution model. In the numerical realization stage, the finite difference method and the shooting method were used.

Opis:: The purpose of this study is to analyze the phenomena that occur in biological tissueduring photodynamic therapy (PDT). Under the influence of the laser, triplet oxygen istransformed into singlet oxygen, which is cytotoxic to cancer tissue. The impact of thelaser on the tissue may also be accompanied by changes in the thermophysical parameters,e.g., perfusion, which can affect the supply of oxygen to the tissue and, consequently,the outcome of the therapy. The proposed model uses the optical diffusion equation,the Pennes bioheat transfer equation, and reactions equations for PDT. The connectionbetween bioheat transfer and PDT models is taken into account through the respectiverelationships between perfusion rate, capillary blood velocity, and the maximum oxygensupply rate. Furthermore, a method is proposed to model abnormal vascular patterns inthe tumor subdomain. The boundary element method and the finite difference methodwere used in the numerical implementation stage.
