Opis:
The analysis of the production processes automation phenomenon in enterprises operating in Poland is the object of the presented chapter. The current state of automation of production processes has been also evaluated. The data presented in the chapter come from all types of analyses, reports and statistical data. The results of the analysis confirm that not only the production processes automation level of enterprises in Poland increases, but it also affects the flexibility of the production processes and the product quality improvement as well as financial effects of enterprises. In conclusion, authors underline that there are some barriers in the production processes automation implementing.

W niniejszym artykule opisano wybrane narzędzia systemów automatyzacji procesów logistycznych (SALP) oraz przedstawiono krótką charakterystykę wielokryterialnej metody podejmowania decyzji PROMETHEE z punktu widzenia zastosowania jej do oceny rezultatów wdrożenia SALP w obszarze logistyki produkcji. W ostatniej części zaproponowano metodykę przygotowania danych wymaganych w procesie oceny wdrożenia SALP na podstawie narzędzi modelowania i symulacji.
In this paper, author described chosen tools of systems of logistic processes automation (SALP) and shortly characterized the multi-criteria decision making method PROMETHEE in terms of using it in assessment of implementing SALP in production logistics. In the last part, a methodology of preparing data required in assessment of SALP implementing process, basing on modelling and simulation tools, was proposed.

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technology is being used more and more often in small and medium enterprises. This tool is becoming increasingly important in relieving workers from time consuming and boring tasks. The aim of the research was to identify current problems encountered by enterprises when implementing RPA solutions, with particular attention paid to the aspect of change perceived by the employees and the management. As part of the empirical work, monographic research was conducted using the case study procedure in 10 selected small and medium-sized companies operating in Poland. During expert interviews, workers’ resistance against changes was noticed as the greatest obstacle in introducing RPA. Workers’ lack of knowledge about this technology and its tools and the lack of proper change management in organizations are the main factors which impede implementation of RPA. The core actions to success in implementation of software robots are: building awareness among workers, support of leaders, and monitoring of implementation progress.
Technologia Robotic Process Automation (RPA) jest coraz częściej wykorzystywana w małych i średnich przedsiębiorstwach. Narzędzie to nabiera coraz większego znaczenia w odciążaniu pracowników od czasochłonnych i żmudnych zadań. Celem badań było zidentyfikowanie aktualnych problemów napotykanych przez przedsiębiorstwa przy wdrażaniu rozwiązań RPA, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem aspektu zmiany postrzeganej przez pracownika i kadrę zarządzającą. W ramach pracy empirycznej przeprowadzono badania monograficzne z wykorzystaniem procedury studium przypadku w 10 wybranych małych i średnich przedsiębiorstwach działających w Polsce. Podczas wywiadów eksperckich za największą przeszkodę we wprowadzaniu RPA uznano opór pracowników wobec zmian. Brak wiedzy pracowników na temat tej technologii i jej narzędzi oraz brak odpowiedniego zarządzania zmianą w organizacji to główne czynniki utrudniające wdrożenie RPA. Kluczowymi czynnikami sukcesu podczas procesu wdrażania robotów softwarowych są: budowanie świadomości wśród pracowników, wsparcie liderów, monitorowanie postępów wdrożenia.

Przedstawiono zagadnienia jakości powietrza w czystych strefach produkcyjnych oraz zaprezentowano wyniki badania poziomu stężenia cząstek stałych w środowisku wytwarzania wyrobów medycznych na przykładzie przedsiębiorstwa produkcyjnego przemysłu medycznego w kontekście automatyzacji produkcji. Wykorzystano metodę case study, opierając się na danych zgromadzonych w ramach badania jakości powietrza w jednym z krajowych zakładów produkcyjnych. Osiągnięte wyniki wskazują na istnienie pozytywnego związku procesu automatyzacji linii produkcyjnej z jakością powietrza w strefach produkcyjnych w odniesieniu do norm dla klasy pomieszczeń czystych ISO 8 (zgodnie z normą ISO 14644-1).
The purpose of this paper is to present air quality in clean rooms in which manufacturing processes take places, and present research results of solid particles contamination in production environment of medical devices on the example of manufacturing company from medical devices branch in the context of manufacturing automation. For this aim case study research method was chosen. Input data for this research were collected from air contamination tests performed in one of Polish manufacturing plants. Gained results show a positive relation between process automation and air purity in manufacturing clean rooms in relation to the applicable ISO 8 requirements (according to ISO 14644-1).

W referacie przedstawiono metody przetwarzania obrazów i rozpoznawania znaków w szczególności dla celów pocztowych. W procesie opracowania przesyłek pocztowych w urzędach rozdzielczych szczególną rolę ogrywa odczytanie strony adresowej przesyłki w zwłaszcza opisanej pismem odręcznym. Ze względu na czas trwania procesu przetwarzani obrazu przesyłki, ograniczono się do odczytania pocztowego numeru adresowego (PNA). Dokonano analizy stosowanych rozwiązań w zakresie metod obszarowych i konturowych. Zwrócono szczególną uwagę na metody wykorzystujące sztuczne sieci neuronowe, ukryte modele Markowa, momenty geometryczne, przekształcenie Fouriera. Określono przydatność poszczególnych metod dla specyficznych wymagań przetwarzania obrazu w systemach pocztowych.
The paper presents a method of image processing and character recognition, in particular for postal applications. In the process of the development of postal offices distribution plays a special role to read the address data in particular described handwriting. Because of the time limitation of the image processing package, the article focused on zip code reading. Particular attention has been paid to the methods based on artificial neural networks, hidden Markov models, the moments of geometric Fourier transform. Determined suitability of particular methods for the specific requirements of image processing postal systems.

The article presents the development of calibration laboratories at the Regional Office of Measures in Szczecin over the last 10 years. There are described the main directions of development and the type of equipment purchased. There is discussed the main aspect related to the automation of measurement processes based on the use of advanced Excel functions and serial communication as well. The summary presents the effects of this work and priorities for the future.

The main aim of this article is to identify the possibilities which are given to contemporary companies thanks to the usage of processes included in marketing automation system. This publication deals with the key aspects of this issue. Its shows how the importance of the organization changes, how its value increases, as a result of using the tools which are provided by the processes included in the concept of marketing automation. This article defines the factors and processes which influence an effective course of actions taken as a part of marketing automation. Because the concept of marketing automation is a completely new reality; it is giving up the communication based on mass distribution of a uniform contents for really personalized individual and fully automated communication. This is a completely new idea, a kind of coexistence, in which both a sales department and a marketing department cooperate with each other closely to achieve the best result. It is also a situation in which marketing can definitely confirm its contribution to the income generated by the company. But marketing automation also means huge analytical possibilities and a real increase of a company’s value, its value added generated by the system – the source of information about clients, about all processes both marketing and sales, taking place in a company. The introduction of marketing automation system alters not only the current functioning of a marketing department, but also marketers themselves. In fact, everything that marketing automation system provides, including primarily accumulated unique knowledge of the client, is also a critical marketing value of every modern enterprise.
Głównym celem niniejszej publikacji jest zidentyfikowanie możliwości jakie współczesnym przedsiębiorstwom dostarcza zastosowanie procesów wchodzących w skład systemu marketing automation. Opracowanie to porusza kluczowe aspekty tego zagadnienia. Pokazuje, jak zmienia się znaczenie organizacji, jak realnie wzrasta jej wartość w następstwie korzystania z narzędzi jakie dostarczają procesy wpisane w koncepcję marketing automation. W artykule zdefiniowano czynniki i procesy, które mają wpływ na efektywny przebieg działań podejmowanych w ramach automatyzacji marketingu. Bowiem koncepcja marketing automation to zupełnie nowa rzeczywistość, to rezygnacja z komunikacji opartej na masowej dystrybucji jednolitego przekazu na rzecz tej realnie spersonalizowanej, indywidualnej i w pełni zautomatyzowanej. To zupełnie nowa idea, swoista koegzystencja w której dział sprzedaży i dział marketingu ściśle ze sobą współpracują by osiągnąć jak najlepsze rezultaty. To także sytuacja, w której marketing może zdecydowanie potwierdzić swój wkład w generowany przez przedsiębiorstwo przychód. Ale marketing automation to także ogromne możliwości analityczne, to realny wzrost wartości przedsiębiorstwa, jego wartość dodana, jaką jest pozyskany przez system zasób wiedzy o klientach oraz o wszystkich procesach, zarówno marketingowych, jak i sprzedażowych realizowanych w przedsiębiorstwie. Wprowadzenie systemu marketing automation wpływa na zmianę dotychczasowego modelu funkcjonowania nie tylko działu marketingu, ale również samego marketingowca. Bowiem wszystko to, co dostarcza marketing automation, w tym przede wszystkim skumulowana unikalna wiedza o kliencie, to także krytyczna wartość marketingowa każdego współczesnego przedsiębiorstwa.

This study considers the possibility of using waste energy; authors state that in our country wastes are the great source of energy. In the article the quantities involved and the composition of the various Polish regions were given. The problems resulting from the combustion of alternative fuels - the need for high-performance exhaust gas cleaning equipment and the most common toxic components of exhaust - also were discussed.

The lack of proper communication between navigators is one of the many causes of dangerous situations in maritime transport. Automation of communication processes, in particular negotiation processes, can help either avoid such situations or, when they do occur, deal with them more promptly and effectively. We have characterized inference processes in maritime communication and the communication subontology used to describe these processes. The negotiating processes involving two or more parties are considered. An example is given of an encounter by three ships that requires communication (including negotiations) between the three navigators. We also present how the described communication processes can be automated using the developed subontology of communication.

One of the causes of ships’ accidents are errors in the communication between navigators in charge of ships concerned. The most common causes include a lack of communication, misunderstanding of a received message, incorrect choice of the type of message or misinterpretation of the information exchanged. These errors can be significantly reduced by the automation of intership communication processes, in particular by a developed automatic maritime communication system. The decision to communicate is as essential as communication itself. This paper presents the problem of identifying situations requiring the establishing of communication by a sea-going vessel. A definition of the need to establish communication between the vessels is associated with the acquisition of data, analysis and evaluation of the navigational situation and the relevant inference process. Based on an analysis of the process of identifying navigation situations which require communication between proceeding ships, the model of automatic identification of such situations has been developed.

Opis:
This paper describes a way of determining selected water parameters using a prototype of a remote-controlled catamaran. The remote controlling allows to steer the boat and to manage the measurement process from the shore. It is possible to monitor the water parameters online as well as to store them and analyze them afterwards. The measured parameters are determined mainly using potentiometric methods and include several ion concentrations. The system is orientated towards monitoring breeding ponds or other similar surface waters. The mechanical construction of the catamaran, its electronic circuits and implemented software are described in detail in the paper. Conclusions obtained from preliminary tests are also included. The described construction allows analysts to perform simple and inexpensive remote measurements or assessments of water quality and reduces the time of such analysis in comparison to traditional sampling.

In this light, it seems that breaking the mental barriers to the automation process in order to strengthen its acceptance could play a decisive role in creating the development of the labor market and education
