    The aim of article is the try to answer for the question if the teaching of quantitative methods to increase student’s skills to analyses of complex economics and socials processes and also to solve economics problems and to make a decision. To gain the answer for the above mentioned question the surveys research carried out. Student’s of master studies and part-time student’s of economics major at the Faculty of Economics at West Pomeranian University of Technology in years 2007/2008 i 2008/2009.

    Opis:
    The article takes the attempt to answer to the question about the condition of the quality of natural environment in Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship with regard to an average level of chosen variables characterizing this environment in 2006. For the analysis were chosen variables describing air, water and soils pollution. Besides, it has taken two variables into considerations which inform properly about: carried expenditures for environmental protection and particular natural values of researched area. As the investigate instrument was used the multiple correspondence analysis based on indicator matrix and Ward method.

    Opis:
    The aim of the research presented in the article is to answer the question about how the applicants’ skills – measured according to, for instance, their matriculation examination results (for full-time 1st cycle program students) or their average grade awarded in the 1st cycle program (for full-time 2nd cycle program students) – may affect their achievement of learning outcomes. In order find the answer, the dependence between the students’ skills and their learning outcomes was analyzed using measures of the strength and direction of the relationship, as well as logistic regression. The database of candidates applying for enrollment with the Faculty of Economics of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, Poland, registered in the Online Recruitment System for the academic year 2015/2016, was used as the information basis.

    Opis:
    The purpose of the article is to evaluate the extent to which the registered unemployed population structure analyzed by selected categories of demographic characteristics affects the employment efficiency index. The coefficients of Pearson correlation and multiple correlation between the employment efficiency index and demographic characteristics were used as research tools. The coefficients were calculated for county labor offices operating in the individual Voivodships in 2018, and were used to detect regularities regarding the correlations between these magnitudes for the individual voivodships. It turned out that the research failed to render unequivocal results. The strength of the relationships between the examined variables at the country level (for all county labor offices) was far lower than that observed for the individual Voivodships. Each Voivodship appeared to demonstrate a different set of demographic features having a significant impact on the employment efficiency index, while the directions of such impact frequently varied between the Voivodeships, as well.
