    Opis:
    Przedmiotem referatu jest model numeryczny zespołu dwóch elementów nawierzchni kolejowej: podkładu kolejowego, pogrążonego w warstwie podsypki tłuczniowej o ustalonej grubości i niezmiennych cechach wytrzymałościowych. Model służy do oceny wartości i rozkładu naprężeń normalnych w podkładzie, przy założeniu zmiennych parametrów dotyczących: materiału, z którego jest wykonany podkład oraz podłoża tworzonego przez podsypkę tłuczniową. Symulację eksploatacyjnego obciążenia podkładów posadowionych na podsypce wykonano w programie Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2010.
    The subject of the paper was the numerical model assembly of two elements railway surface: sleeper railway mired in the ballast broken stone layer fixed thickness and unchanging features of endurance. The model was used to assess the value and the normal stress distribution in the sleeper, assuming the variable parameters: the material it is made of a sleeper and a base formed by the broken stone ballast. Operational load simulation situated on ballasted sleepers were made in Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2010.

    The paper concerns the quality of interaction between the basic elements of the railroad surface, based on digital modeling. A map of vertical displacements of railroad subgrade was developed in the function of changing conditions in the subgrade load capacity. These conditions were characterized by the indicator value of the subgrade density and the location of subgrade density zones. The article presents the continuation of research, which at the introductory stage was focused only on the analysis of normal stress and shear stress in the railway sleeper.

    Opis:
    Designing of storage facilities is an interdisciplinary process that requires consideration of technical, economic, social or environmental issues. Storage facilities, as a part of supply chain are designed to provide customers availability of goods at a certain time, quantity and place. This involves the functions resulting therefrom, such as storage, sorting, picking, packing, etc. The efficiency of processes in the supply chains is strongly influenced by the location and shape of the storage facilities that are critical components. These issues are multi-threaded, and they are subject of an iterative approach in which information tools are playing a special role. One of such tool is the SIMMAG3D system. It is a system for modelling and visualization in 3D of warehouse facilities, which was built based on developed mathematical models, computational algorithms and functional dependencies necessary for the designing of storage facilities. It also takes into account the different types of warehouses and design methodologies as well as the location of warehouses in the logistic network. The article presents the elements of the SIMMAG3D system and characterizes its functional capabilities. It has been pointed out that one of the key elements of the system is the module for 3D visualization of storage facilities. In addition, an example of the visualizer operation on real data concerning one of the FMCG storage facility is provided.

    Tematem artykułu jest jakość współpracy podstawowych elementów nawierzchni kolejowej na bazie modelowania numerycznego. Opracowaną „mapę” naprężeń stycznych w podkładzie kolejowym, w funkcji zmian warunków posadowienia podkładu, charakteryzowanych wskaźnikiem zagęszczenia podsypki i lokalizacji stref zagęszczenia. Artykuł relacjonuje kontynuację badań, które jako pierwszy etap projektu dotyczyły jedynie analizy stanu naprężeń normalnych.
    The theme of the paper was the quality of the basic elements of railway surface cooperation based on numerical modeling. There were developed a shear stresses “map” in the rail undercoat, as a function of changes in the conditions of foundation substructure, characterized by the indicator of ballast compaction density and location of zones. The continuation of research that the first stage of the project concerned the analysis of only the normal stress has been reported in the paper.

    Based on the model of impedance and modulation time constants for vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) we study the resistances and capacitances of an equivalent circuit as a function of the current flowing through the VCSEL. We observe reduction of some components of the resistance and the capacitance, as well as the modulation time constants for increasing current.
    W oparciu o model impedancji i stałych czasowych modulacji dla laserów o emisji powierzchniowej z pionową wnęką rezonansową (VCSEL) badamy opory i pojemności równoważnego obwodu w funkcji prądu przepływającego przez laser. Obserwujemy, że wraz ze wzrostem prądu przepływającego przez urządzenie, niektóre ze składowych rezystancji i pojemności w elektrycznym układzie zastępczym ulegają zmniejszeniu. Wraz ze wzrostem prądu zmniejsza się również stała czasu modulacji.

    This paper presents the results of a numerical analysis of nitride-based edge-emitting lasers with an InGaN/GaN active region designed for continuous wave room temperature emission of green and blue light. The main goal was to investigate whether the indium thin oxide (ITO) layer can serve as an effective optical confinement improving operation of these devices. Simulations were performed with the aid of a self-consistent thermal-electrical-optical model. Results obtained for green- and blue-emitting lasers were compared. The ITO layer in the p-type cladding was found to effectively help confine the laser mode in the active regions of the devices and to decrease the threshold current density.

    The paper is a result of research work carried out under the project EMITRANSYS for shaping ecological transport system. The paper presents selected aspects of emission and concentration of harmful compounds of exhaust gases generated by road transport. It also presents the share of harmful compounds emitted by road transport in comparison with the emission from other sectors of economy. Transport policy should encourage the usage of energyefficient and less environmentally damaging modes of transport and their efficient use. The paper analyses the emissions of selected pollutants and their estimated contribution to the total emissions of road transport. It also presents selected aspects of the identification of areas with the highest emissions of harmful compounds in Poland against the European Union. This analysis provides a basis to identify the instruments to prevent and reduce pollution arising from transport activities. In particular, variable emission of selected components of fumes according to the velocity of passenger vehicle. the measured values for NO2 concentration in the UE countries in 2011, the measured values for CO concentration in UE countries in 2011, the measured values for PM10 concentration in UE countries in 2011, the measured values for PM2.5 concentration in UE countries in 2011 are presented in the paper.
