Opis:
A series of aryl imines have been synthesized by Fly-ash: PTS catalyzed microwave assisted oxidative coupling of amines and aldehydes under solvent-free conditions. The yield of the imines has been found to be more than 90 %. The purity of all imines has been checked using their physical constants and spectral data as published earlier in literature. The UV ?maxC=N(nm), infrared ?C=N(cm-1), NMR ?(ppm) of CH=N and C=N spectral data have been correlated with Hammett substituent constants and F and R parameters using single and multi-linear regression analysis. From the results of statistical analysis, the effect of substituents on the above spectral data has been studied. The antimicrobial activities of all imines have been studied using Bauer-Kirby method.

Opis:
Some 2’-hydroxyphenylchalcones have been synthesized under microwave irradiation by Claisen-Schmidt condensation between substituted 2-hydroxyacetophenone and substituted benzaldehydes using catalytic amount of SiO2-H3PO4. These chalcones were established by their physical constants and spectroscopic data published earlier. The UV, IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectral data of these chalcone have correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters. All the compounds have been subjected to screened for antimicrobial activity.

Opis:
Some aryl pyrazolines including 3-(substituted phenyl)-5-(naphthalen-1-yl)-1-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazoles were prepared by microwave irradiation promoted cyclization of aryl enones and phenylhydrazine in the presence of solid acidic bentonite/FeCl3 catalyst under solvent-free conditions. In this cyclization the obtained yields are more than 75%. The structural analysis of these pyrazoline derivatives were confirmed through analytical and spectral techniques. The effect of catalyst and solvent on this cyclization also investigated through the obtained yields. The antimicrobial activities of these pyrazoline derivatives were assessed through measurement of mm of zone of inhibition against their micro stains using well known Bauer-Kirby disc diffusion method.

A series containing ten titled compounds were synthesized by SiO2:H3PO4 catalyzed solvent-free condensation of substituted benzaldehydes and 2-amino-5-ethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole under microwave irradiation. The yields of prepared amines are more than 90 %. The synthesized amines were characterized by their physical constants and spectroscopic data reported in literature earlier for known compounds. The assigned spectral group frequencies such as infrared νC=N, C-S-C, N-N (cm-1) and NMR chemical shifts (δ, ppm) of CH, C=N have been correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters using single and multi-linear regression analysis. From the results of statistical analyses, the effects of substituent on the above spectral data have been discussed.

Some substituted 1-thiocarbomyl pyrazolines including 3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-5-(substituted phenyl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazole-1-carbothioamides using solvent-free preheated fly-ash catalyzed cyclization between chalcones and thiosemicarbazide microwave irradiation. The yields of these thiocarbomyl pyrazolines are more than 80 %. The purities of these synthesised pyrazoline derivatives are checked by their physical constants and spectral data earlier reported in the literature The spectral data of these 3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-5-(substituted phenyl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazole-1-carbothioamides had been correlated, using single and multi-linear regression analysis.

Series of eleven substituted of (E)-3-(3-methylthiophen-2-yl)-1-phenylprop-2-en-1-ones compounds by cross-aldol condensation reaction of 3-methylthiophene-2-carbaldehyde with various substituted acetaldehyde in the occurrence of Fly-Ash: H3PO4 catalyst. The effect of catalytic activity of this fly-ash:H3PO4 nanocatalyst was studied with the obtained yield of products under solvent-free conditions. More than 85% yields of thirteen 4-(4-chloro-1-naphthyl)-5,6-dihydro-6-(substituted phenyl)-4H-1,3-oxazine-2-amines weer synthesised by SiO2-H3PO4 catalyzed solvent-free cyclization of substituted styryl4-chloro-1-naphthyl ketones and urea under microwave irradiation. The synthesized oxazine amines have been characterized by analytical and spectroscopic techniques. The antimicrobial activities of these 4-(4-chloro-1-naphthyl)-5,6-dihydro-6-(substituted phenyl)-4H-1,3-oxazine-2-amines have been appraised by means of Bauer-Kirby technique. The insect antifeedant activities of these oxazine-2-amines were assessed by Dethler’s technique using 4th instar larvae Achoea janata L.
