    Opis:
    The small-sized enterprises, i.e. micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), constitute the basis of the Polish economy. They are considered as a key element among all economic entities, primarily driving economic growth by strengthening GDP, but also employment growth and social integration. Most of the Polish workers are employed in enterprises of "small size". Therefore, effective management of work safety in micro, small and medium-sized enterprises is essential. It is very important to ensure appropriate and safe working conditions for employees of "small size" economic entities, but also for their long-term functioning on the market. Unfortunately, the results of publicly available reports indicate a relatively low level of occupational health and safety in "small size" enterprises. Occupational safety is considered primarily through the analysis of the basic triad of factors, which are - "technical safety at work" (T), "organizational safety at work" (O) and "human factor" (L). The paper presents the results of research conducted in "small-sized" enterprises (micro and small enterprises), including the analysis of technical, organizational and human factors. The tools that were used to implement the research assumptions include a questionnaire for the identification of threats in "small-sized" enterprises and the assessment of factors that affect work safety - with statistical analysis.

    Pracownicy placówek służby zdrowia są narażeni na wiele czynników, które zagrażają ich zdrowiu a nawet życiu. Lekarze należą do grupy pracowników służby zdrowia mającej bezpośredni kontakt z zagrożeniami, zwłaszcza biologicznymi i psychofizycznymi. Wśród nich pojawiają się tzw. „nowe” zagrożenia, które trudno zidentyfikować, zmierzyć i ocenić. O ile zagrożenia biologiczne są wskazywane przez specjalistów jako główne i priorytetowe w profilaktyce, to zagrożenia psychofizyczne – zwłaszcza psychospołeczne – są bagatelizowane. Ich wpływ na zdrowie i życie lekarzy jest istotny i determinuje zarówno jakość wykonywanej pracy jak również poziom ryzyka zawodowego pracy lekarzy. Istnieje potrzeba rzetelnej identyfikacji zagrożeń „nowych i pojawiających się” w celu minimalizowania ich wpływu na pracę, ale przede wszystkim zdrowie i życie lekarzy. W niniejszej pracy dokonano identyfikacji zagrożeń zawodowych w pracy lekarza, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem tych, których rzetelna identyfikacja jest nie lada wyzwaniem. Przedstawione wyniki są częścią większej całości.
    Employees of health care institutions are exposed to many factors that threaten their health and even life. Doctors belong to the group of health professionals who have direct contact with threats, especially biological ones and psychophysical. Among them, so-called "New" threats that are difficult to identify, measure and evaluate. While biological threats are indicated by specialists as the main and priority in prevention, psychophysical threats – especially psychosocial ones – are underestimated. Their impact on the health and lives of doctors is important and determines both the quality of work performed and the level of occupational risk of doctors' work. There is a need for reliable identification of "new" threats and appearing "to minimize their impact on work, but above all health and life of doctors. This work identifies occupational hazards in the work of a physician, with particular emphasis on those whose reliable identification is quite a challenge. The presented results are part of a larger whole.

    In the life of every person, there are a number of values that guide them. These values are reflected both in private and professional life, and sometimes they smoothly interpenetrate. In the hierarchy of values related to professional work, work safety should rank among the highest. However, the number of accidents in Polish enterprises leaves no illusions, and the causes of these accidents indicate the main source of their occurrence, which has undoubtedly been the human factor for many years. This paper presents the results of surveys conducted in the SME sector regarding the place of work safety in the hierarchy of values related to professional work in the opinion of employees.

    Work safety is an autotelic value. The health and life of the employee should be a priority in any work process. The risk of loss of health and life is a frequent phenomenon in manufacturing enterprises. According to the data of the Central Statistical Office, in the first half of 2020, approx. 24 thousand people who were injured in accidents at work were reported to the office. Approximately every third of these accidents is related to a manufacturing company. The SME sector generates the largest number of accidents at work. The results of the survey concerning opinions on the risk of losing health and life at work are presented in this article. The survey was conducted among employees of the SME sector, with particular emphasis on manufacturing companies. The results presented in the article represent only a part of the larger picture.

    Opis:
    The organization of space and working conditions is very important in terms of its effectiveness. Each professional work determines activities that support occupational safety and health at the workplace. Lack of proper working conditions but also the time of exposure to dangerous, burdensome or harmful factors has an impact on the effectiveness of the work performed. Lack of balance between work and leisure in turn results in a decrease in work efficiency. The scientific and didactic work of academic teachers is related to the occurrence of diversified occupational hazards with particular emphasis on those that are the cause of musculoskeletal disorders. In this elaboration, the research, analysis and evaluation of the work effectiveness of academic teachers have been carried out. A questionnaire and a direct interview have been used as a research method. In addition, the pain intensity in individual parts of the body has been assessed in the last 12 months depending on the age of research and teaching staff using the NMQ questionnaire (Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire). For the purposes of the study, the survey was supplemented with the VAS (Visual Analogue Scale) scale to assess the severity of pain. The purpose of the paper is to evaluate the frequency and severity of musculoskeletal pain in academic teachers with regard to the effectiveness of their work.

    Opis:
    Every employer is responsible for ensuring safe and hygienic working conditions. According to the Labor Code and the relevant regulations, the elements of safe and hygienic working conditions in each enterprise are very similar. Differences arise when a specific industry or special psychophysical needs of an employee are taking into consideration. There is a specific group of employees for whom the working conditions organized by the employer in terms of occupational health and safety differ from the average working conditions. In the paper the needs, limitations and psychophysical possibilities of professionally active employees with sensory integration disorders are analyzed. In this purpose the direct interview with elements of open observation was used as the research method. The results presented in this paper are the small part (initial diagnosis) of the large project. Preliminary conclusions confirm the difficulty of adapting employees with sensory integration disorders to a universal work environment and the great need to organize special working conditions for them.
