Opis:: The paper deals with the load characteristics of permanent magnet synchronous generators (PMSGs) operating stand-alone at constant rotor speed and connected to R or RL type linear loads. It is show that assuming a pure resistive linear load (power factor cos = 1) it is possible to design the PMSG so that the load characteristic of output voltage vs. output power U = f(P2) is very flat in the wide range of power P2. This goal can be achieved in the case of proper design of Interior PMSG constructions. The computational algorithm based on the so-called field-circuit loading method used for calculation of load characteristics presented in the paper is also described.

Opis:: Quality assessment in external beam radiotherapy necessitates for an efficient and robust tool for comparing the planned and realised geometry of the treatment. Such a tool using the modified Hausdorff distance measure has been developed and successfully introduced to clinical practice. The majority of steps of the method are automatic. The user specifies the share of edge data extracted from the images to be used in calculations, not before, but after these calculations are actually performed. Thus, the results of the choice can be seen immediately. This mechanism makes the method extremely robust against partially erroneous or missing data.

Also the pro-ecological agricultural production’s effects problem was shown. Analyse applies healthy food market in Lubusz Voivodeship.

Opis:: This paper presents signal processing aspects for automatic segmentation of retinal layers of the human eye. The paper draws attention to the problems that occur during the computer image processing of images obtained with the use of the Spectral Domain Optical Coherence Tomography (SD OCT). Accuracy of the retinal layer segmentation for a set of typical 3D scans with a rather low quality was shown. Some possible ways to improve quality of the final results are pointed out. The experimental studies were performed using the so-called B-scans obtained with the OCT Copernicus HR device.

Opis:: This paper presents analysis of selected noise reduction methods used in optical coherence tomography (OCT) retina images (the socalled B-scans). The tested algorithms include median and averaging filtering, anisotropic diffusion, soft wavelet thresholding, and multiframe wavelet thresholding. Precision of the denoising process was evaluated based on the results of automated retina layers segmentation, since this stage (vital for ophthalmic diagnosis) is strongly dependent on the image quality. Experiments were conducted with a set of 3D low quality scans obtained from 10 healthy patients and 10 patients with vitreoretinal pathologies. Influence of each method on the automatic image segmentation for both groups of patients is thoroughly described. Manual annotations of investigated retina layers provided by ophthalmology experts served as reference data for evaluation of the segmentation algorithm.
