    Managing the enterprise by Lean Manufacturing concept consists in eliminating the errors and limiting the 3M (muda, mura, muri) but also increasing the efficiency of the processes which adds the value and shorting the duration of activities which are necessary but not generate the added value. Implementation of the solutions of the lean area gives measurable results, that is why lean toolbox is implemented in many economic branches. First phase of the efficiency improvements in the enterprise is the analysis of the actual status. The article presents an example of the value stream mapping method usage (VSM) for the chosen product.

    The paper presents an example of building the Current State Map and a proposal for the reorganization of production process in a INVENTOR factory. The tool that has enabled realization the improvement of the production process was Value Stream Mapping. Collected a lot of information about the production process. The basis of the reorganization is to analyze the current situation of production and the conclusions of this analysis. Also the paper presents a comparative analysis of selected process parameters before and after the reorganization.

    The article presents an analysis of the manufacturing proces in order to identify wastes This results from the necessity to improve manufacturing processes in a medium-size company. The article includes a case study in which an attempt to reduce the production cycle was made. Lean Management approach and VSM method were used.

    Spare parts are one of the important pillars in the after-sales service of automotive business. Customers will satisfied and comfortable if the availability of spare parts is guaranteed. Spare Part Center is one of function to support unit sales and as well as profit-oriented, so the accuracy and speed of spare part acceptance by the customer is an important key to winning the competition. Order Picking is one of the supply chain processes that play a role in warehouse operations to meet customer needs. Order Picking is the most expensive activity in warehousing and can reach 55% of the total cost of warehousing operations, so it is considered a top priority in increasing productivity, even reaching 65% of total warehouse operating costs. The purpose of this research is to increase productivity in the process of picking order through reduction of processing time. Increased productivity is done by improving the working method of the picking process. From the result the comparing, the method by zone requires less total picking time (193.712 seconds) than by routing (249.559 seconds) decreased 55.85 second time, in other words, an increase of 22.38%. With the Visual Stream Mapping (VSM) in this research can reduce to travel time, it means that the total distance traveled is small than the current method. The impact from VSM approach will eliminate time for preparation of 1.960 seconds, and take empty trolley of 200 seconds. In this case some of traveling non-value adding for customer, so this is should be taken off from process picking because it is a waste.

    This paper analyses the operation of a company from the automotive industry in terms of the identification of waste in the production process. The aim of this study was to develop methods for eliminating the sources of waste, i.e. extensive work-in-progress inventories. There was used the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) method. It allowed finding sources of waste and enabled an analysis of the process. The VSM method allows observing processes exactly as they are, thanks to which it is possible to identify the actual problems occurring in them.

    The article presents a concept of adaptation the Value Stream Mapping method (VSM) to the mining industry environment. VSM method is widely used mainly in the automotive industry and in manufacturing enterprises. The method stems from the Toyota Production System (TPS). The paper describes an attempt to define "value" and "waste" for the copper mine conditions. The analyzed method enables mapping and imaging the material and information flow in the production system. A value stream can be defined as all the activities - both value added and non-value added - required to take a product or service through a value flows. The core aspect of value stream mapping is to see the flow and waste, and its sources in a value stream. The paper discuses also an algorithm of observing and measuring the chosen process. The algorithm enables developing a current- state map. Examples of the process division into value-added and non-value-added activities and a comparison of 7 types of waste defined in the automotive industry with potential waste that can be noticed in a mine are also presented in the article.
    W artykule przedstawiono koncepcję adaptacji metody mapowania strumienia wartości VSM (Value Stream Mapping) do warunków przemysłu wydobywczego. Metoda VSM była dotychczas powszechnie stosowana głównie w przemyśle motoryzacyjnym i przedsiębiorstwach stricte produkcyjnych. Wywodzi się z systemu produkcyjnego Toyoty (Toyota Production System TPS). W pracy podjęto próbę zdefiniowania pojęcia wartości i marnotrawstwa dla uwarunkowań panujących w kopalni miedzi. Metoda, którą poddano analizie pozwala na odwzorowanie przepływu materiału i informacji w systemie produkcyjnym. Przez strumień wartości należy rozumieć wszystkie czynności - zarówno dodające, jak i nie dodające wartości, które konieczne są przeprowadzenia produktu lub usługi przez główne przepływy wartości. Istotą mapowania strumienia wartości jest dostrzeżenie przepływu oraz marnotrawstwa, a także jego źródeł w strumieniu wartości. W pracy przedstawiono koncepcję algorytmu zbierania danych i dokonywania pomiarów, który pozwala na opracowanie mapy stanu obecnego. Zaprezentowano także przykład podziału operacji wykonywanych w kopalni na dodające i nie dodające wartości oraz porównanie potencjalnych przykładów występowania marnotrawstwa w kopalni z siedmioma podstawowymi typami marnotrawstwa występującymi w przemyśle motoryzacyjnym.

    Podstawowym celem artykułu jest praktyczne zastosowanie Mapowania Strumienia Wartości w procesie obsługi klienta w wybranym przedsiębiorstwie usługowym. Jego pierwsza część zawiera teoretyczną charakterystykę metody badawczej oraz przedsiębiorstwa usługowego i procesu będącego przedmiotem badań. Następnie, na podstawie klasyfikacji zidentyfikowanych etapów procesu opracowany został przepływ strumienia wartości, którego analiza przyczyniła się do powstania mapy stanu przyszłego oraz usprawnienia obsługi klienta.
    The purpose of this paper is the practical application of the Value Stream Mapping of the customer service process in the chosen service enterprise. The first part of the article contains theoretical framework of the research method, the service enterprise and the process being the subject of the study. Afterwards, based on the classification of identified stages of the process, there was elaborated the flow of value stream, which analysis contributed to creating Future State Value Stream Map and improving the customer service process.

    W niniejszym artykule autorzy posłużyli się wybranymi narzędziami i technikami Lean Management w celu skrócenia cyklu produkcyjnego wytypowanego systemu oświetlenia awaryjnego, wytwarzanego w badanym przedsiębiorstwie produkcyjnym. Przeprowadzone badania obejmowały analizy przepływu materiału z wykorzystaniem diagramu spaghetti, obserwację czasu roboczego w oparciu o metodę chronometrażową oraz modyfikację stanowisk pracy z wykorzystaniem techniki 5S. Opisane przez autorów rozwiązania techniczne i organizacyjne przyczyniły się do skrócenia analizowanego cyklu produkcyjnego.
    In this paper the authors used selected tools and techniques of Lean Management to shorten the production cycle of the selected emergency lighting system. The study included material flow analysis using a spaghetti diagram, working time observation based on the timing method and modification of workstations using the 5S technique. The technical and organizational solutions described by the authors contributed to shortening the analyzed production cycle.

    The following paper discusses how to use of a company’s assets efficiently by the identification of value stream and the elimination of all the processes that do not contribute to a company’s added value. The identification of critical points of value stream by means of a map illustrating these processes helps to indicate the area where the selected elements of LEAN concept aiming at eliminating waste in domestic transport should be implemented. The article contains the analysis of the state of the current stream, and suggestions concerning its improvement.

    W artykule przedstawiona została tematyka związana z mapami logicznymi procesu. Mapy logiczne są niezbędne w określeniu aktualnego przepływu w firmie. Ukazują w jaki sposób podejmowane są decyzje w przedsiębiorstwie i z jakimi osobami bezpośrednio są one powiązane. W artykule przedstawione zostało zastosowanie logicznej mapy procesu w przedsiębiorstwie produkcyjnym. Celem jej jest zilustrowanie procesu podejmowania decyzji w firmie X od chwili otrzymania zamówienia od klienta do momentu podjęciadecyzji o realizacji zlecenia.
    The article presents topics related to the logical maps of the process. Logic maps are necessary in determining the current flow in the company. They show how decisions are made in the company and with which individuals they are directly related. The article presents the application of a logical process map in a production enterprise. Its purpose is to illustrate the decision making process in company X from the moment of receiving the order from the customer until the decision on the order is made.

    Wprowadzanie innowacji organizacyjnych jest istotnym działaniem wpływającym na efektywność funkcjonowania organizacji. W niniejszej publikacji zaprezentowano jedną z metod lean management – metodę mapowania strumienia wartości. Na podstawie literatury przedmiotu przedstawiono najważniejsze założenia metody. Na przykładzie przykładowej firmy przemysłowej przedstawiono przykład zastosowania tejże metody w zakresie wprowadzania innowacji organizacyjnych. W artykule przedstawiono mapę stanu obecnego i mapę stanu przyszłego koncentrując się na efektach zastosowania metody.
    Organizational innovation is an important activity affecting the productivity of the organization. This paper presents a method of lean management – the method of value stream mapping. On the basis of the literature we shows the main features of the method. For example, a sample of industrial companies is an example of applying this method in the field of organizational innovation. This paper presents the current state map and a map of the future by focusing on the effects of the method.

    The main objective of that report is presented the Lean Management`s method. Lean Managemet is very popular method which adjust the company to demanding market conditions. There were described the origin, progression and main instruments of lean management. There was also presented the influence of lean management on the firm`s economy. In the last part of that article there was described the Kaizen philosophy and its use in the companies of Legnica region.
