W artykule omówiono wykorzystanie roweru miejskiego we Wrocławiu (WRM). Przeanalizowano zmienność dobową, tygodniową i miesięczną liczby wypożyczeni w 2015 roku. Stwierdzono, że w ciągu doby występują dwa szczyty wypożyczeń: poranny i dwukrotnie wyższy popołudniowy. Liczba wypożyczeń w dni robocze kształtuje się na podobnym poziomie, w dni weekendowe jest o koło 20% niższa. Najpopularniejszymi miesiącami są maj i czerwiec, w okresie wakacyjnym i jesiennym popularność WRM maleje. Stwierdzono, że WRM nie jest obecnie optymalnie wykorzystany, przeciętny rower jest w ruchu niecałą godzinę w ciągu doby. Zaproponowano, by w następnych latach WRM uruchomić już od kwietnia, a nawet marca. Dane do analizy uzyskano nieodpłatnie od firmy Nextbike – operatora WRM.
The paper discussed rental of urban bike in Wroclaw in 2015 y. The analysis includes a number of bike users per month, week days and hours. It was find two peeks by a day: in the morning and twice higher in the afternoon. The number of loans during weekends is about 20% lower then an weekdays. The most popular mounts are May and June, after them number of users decreasing. It was calculated then average urban bike is only by one hour per day in motion. Authors suggested start the WRM from April (even from March) in next years.

Dynamiczny rozwój aglomeracji miejskich stworzył potrzebę dostosowania wykorzystywanych systemów informatycznych do zwiększonego natężenia ruchu pasażerskiego. Coraz powszechniejsze zjawisko kongestii przyczyniło się do intensyfikacji działań na rzecz poprawy efektywności sterowania przepływami w aglomeracjach. Do tego celu zaczęto wykorzystywać coraz bardziej nowoczesne rozwiązania służące poprawie funkcjonowania komunikacji miejskiej. Celem artykułu jest ocena i przegląd aktualnych rozwiązań, które mogą zostać z powodzeniem zaimplementowane w systemach komunikacyjnych miast w Polsce. Publikacja ma na celu także określenie perspektyw rozwoju Inteligentnych Systemów Transportowych (ITS) w przyszłości, a także efektów wynikających z ich dalszego wykorzystywania.
The dynamic development of urban areas has created the need to adapt computer systems used to increased passenger traffic. Increasingly common phenomenon of congestion, contributed to intensify efforts to improve the efficiency of the control flows in agglomerations. For this purpose cities begin to use more and more modern-solving software to improve the functioning of public transport. The aim of the article is to assess and review of current solutions that can be successfully implemented in communication systems, cities in Poland. The publication is also intended to determine the prospects for the development of intelligent transport systems in the future as well as the effects resulting from their continued use.

Public transportation provides its services to both urban centers and neighboring areas in the immediate vicinity of the city. The problem of urban transportation is evident, the number of people willing to use public transportation has decreased. Therefore, there is a need to delve into the issue and conduct an analysis of the demand for urban transportation in Poland in 2000-2030, this will allow us to assess in what direction urban transportation is heading, whether there is an increase in the number of people using it, or whether there is a downward trend (Zielińska 2018). Based on CSO statistics from 2009-2020 for the analysis of demand for public transportation in Poland, a forecast of people using public transportation was conducted using Statistica software for 2021-2030. Due to the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, the study was conducted in 2 ways – with and without 2020. Public transportation will make less and less profit and even losses for the next few years through rising gasoline and energy prices. Virtually in each of the provinces, and likewise throughout Poland, a decline in the number of people willing to use public transportation is evident. conclusions. On the basis of the surveys carried out, there is a general trend that shows the current state of public transport. In most of the cases studied, a similar conclusion emerges, namely that public transport will experience a marked decline in the coming years. The number of people who want to use public transport will decrease, mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic and people’s fears for their own safety.

Scharakteryzowano przykład zastosowanych rozwiązań na podstawie Trójmiasta oraz ukazano możliwości dalszego rozwoju tych aspektów. Studium przypadku dotyczyło zastosowania systemu inteligentnego sterowania ruchem TRISTAR w Trójmieście, którego zastosowanie przyniosło wymierne efekty dla transportu miejskiego.
The article describes the solution to the problem of urban transport using the telematics solutions. The general characteristics of the city development and its transport, taking into account the partial objectives of urban logistics. The author describes importance of telematics solutions in the transport’s logistics. This paper characterized example of the solutions on the Tri-City basis and shown potential for further development in these aspects. The case study involved system use of intelligent traffic control TRISTAR in Tri-City, that has already led to tangible effects for urban transport.

W artykule zostały omówione problemy związane z funkcjonowaniem transportu osób na terenie miast. Dynamiczny rozwój miast i wzrost dochodu ludności w wielu przypadkach przyczynił się do ograniczenia roli transportu publicznego i nadmiernego wzrostu ruchu samochodów osobowych. Tendencja ta jest szkodliwa dla środowiska. Pociąga za sobą wzrost zapotrzebowania na paliwa ropopochodne, ogranicza komfort życia w mieście i w efekcie końcowym na skutek kongestii generuje dodatkowe koszty związane z działalnością firm i ludzi na obszarze miejskim. Zgodnie z polityką UE ta szkodliwa tendencja musi zostać ograniczona. Przyczynić do tego ma się w znacznym stopniu rozwój transportu zrównoważonego. Na przykładzie miasta Rzeszowa omówione zostały wybrane działania i środki przedsięwzięte w ramach rozwoju transportu zrównoważonego.
The article presented the problems connected with the operation of people transport in cities. The dynamic development of cities and the increase in the income of the population has in many cases contributed to limiting the role of public transport and the excessive growth of passenger traffic. This tendency is harmful to the environment. It entails an increase in the demand for petroleum fuels, reduces the comfort of living in the city and, as a result, congestion generates additional costs for businesses and people in urban areas. In line with EU policies, this damaging tendency must be limited. The development of sustainable transport is to a large extent possible. An example of the city of Rzeszow is described the selected actions and measures undertaken within the framework of the development of sustainable transport.

Transport is a considerable source of pollution in cities. The social impacts of transport activities result from emissions of pollutants, greenhouse gases, and noise, as well as traffic accidents. Not every urban investment that reduces such ‘external’ effects of transport will be found acceptable by the public. In order to assess and communicate the social impacts of investments, it is necessary to calculate external costs appropriately. This article discusses issues with estimating the social costs and benefits of transport-related investments in cities. The article also provides a classification of social benefits from urban transport investments and proposes a general methodology for estimating such benefits. Due to the versatility of urban investments, there can be no single, universal method. The article proposes methods for analysing social costs and benefits on the basis of two sample urban investments.

W opracowaniu przedstawiono pojęcie i podział transportu miejskiego, którego transport rowerowy jest częścią. Opisano również cechy publicznego transportu rowerowego. Przedstawiono zmiany w ocenie warszawskiej infrastruktury rowerowej w latach 2018–2020, które zostały opracowane na podstawie badań ankietowych. Wykonano także analizę pola sił Warszawskiego Roweru Publicznego, wskazując elementy napędzające oraz hamujące rozwój Veturilo.
The study presents the concept and division of urban transport, of which bicycle transport is a part. The features of public bicycle transport are also described. Changes in the assessment of the Warsaw bicycle infrastructure in 2018–2020 were presented, which were developed on the basis of surveys. An analysis of the force field of the Warsaw Public Bike was also performed, indicating the elements driving and inhibiting the development of Veturilo.

In the recent years, the European Community has been implementing a plan to increase the share of renewable fuels used for energy production and powering vehicles. It aims to partially reduce the dependence on crude oil imports and reduce CO2 emission. Particularly interesting are the achievements of Sweden against this background, for which the European Commission has set the highest value of the indicator, and to implement which Sweden adopted unconventional solutions across Europe. One of them is the plan to eliminate by the 2030 fossil fuels from the urban transport, and one of the fuels that is to replace today still widely used diesel oil, would be biomethane. The article describes the reasons and circumstances which made Sweden use biomethane to power buses used in urban transport on a very large scale, in comparison with other European countries. The article shows the characteristics of this fuel, the method of its production and application prospects.

The maintenance of devices is now a critical element in the functioning of manufacturing enterprises. The situation is similar in the transport industry. The technical condition of the vehicles is dependent upon operational procedures that affect the quality of services, comfort and the amount of incurred operating expenses. The aim of this paper is to compare the standards in vehicle service companies which deal with passenger transport in Poland and South Africa. In this study particular attention is paid to the influence of the human factor (passenger expectations, cultural conditions, required standards) in the implementation of this service. The authors based their research on available literature, newspaper articles, direct observation, surveys among Wroclaw’s inhabitants, and interviews with the residents of Johannesburg and the management staff of transport companies.

Jelenia Góra, byłe miasto wojewódzkie, obecnie powiatowe, liczące około 84 tysiące mieszkańców, jak większość miast tej wielkości w kraju boryka się z wieloma problemami związanymi z efektywnym i skutecznym funkcjonowaniem pasażerskiej komunikacji zbiorowej. Obecnie w mieście działa jedynie komunikacja autobusowa (Miejski Zakład Komunikacyjny). Pomimo znacznego potencjału istniejącej sieci kolejowej i wieloletniej historii funkcjonowania komunikacji tramwajowej transport szynowy dla potrzeb obsługi podróży miejskich i podmiejskich niemal w ogóle nie jest wykorzystywany. W artykule scharakteryzowano historię oraz obecną sytuację miejskiego transportu zbiorowego w Jeleniej Górze. Opisano stan węzła kolejowego oraz scharakteryzowano opracowywane współcześnie koncepcje aktywacji transportu kolejowego w mieście i w regionie. Przedstawiono własną propozycję uruchomienia przewozów kolejowych dla potrzeb usprawnienia komunikacji zbiorowej w mieście i przyległych gminach. Scharakteryzowano najważniejsze przedsięwzięcia z zakresu inwestycji infrastrukturalnych i organizacji ruchu. Zaproponowano między innymi budowę szeregu nowych przystanków kolejowych, a także dwóch nowych torowisk prowadzących w sąsiedztwo ważnych celów podróży miejskich. Przedstawiono sugestie przebiegu tras kolei miejskiej. Zwrócono również uwagę na konieczność korekty niektórych istniejących tras autobusów miejskich, a także na potrzebę prawidłowego ułożenia rozkładów jazdy w celu uzyskania stałego taktu kursowania pociągów i skomunikowania pojazdów szynowych i autobusów. Stwierdzono, że w oparciu o dobrze rozwinięty układ istniejących linii kolejowych możliwe jest stworzenie systemu szynowej komunikacji miejskiej w Jeleniej Górze przy poniesieniu stosunkowo umiarkowanych nakładów finansowych. Oprócz koniecznej modernizacji istniejącej infrastruktury kolejowej duże znaczenie dla podniesienia atrakcyjności i efektywności komunikacji szynowej ma lokalizacja i gęstość przystanków kolejowych, a także wykonanie nowych odcinków torowisk doprowadzających w pobliże istotnych źródeł i celów podróży.
Jelenia Góra, poviatcity, inhabited by 84 thousand citizens is to improved collective public transport. At the moment only bus public transport is operating in the city (Municipal Transport Company). In spite of considerable potential of existing railroads network and long history of tram operation, rail transportation in public transport (in urban and commuter services) is not used at all. The history and the existing condition of urban collective transport and railway node in Jelenia Góra are characterized in the paper. Currently worked out ideas for railway transport activation in the city and in the region are described as well. The author's proposal of launch the railway transport for the city and neighboring communities to improve public transport is also presented in the article. In the paper the author asserts the most important infrastructure and traffic organization investments. A set of proposals on building the new railway stops and two new track ways leading to the neighborhood of important urban destinations is outlined as well. The attention has been put to the necessity to the correction of some bus routes and arrangement of timetable to assure suitable conneetions between train's, bus' and tram's transport. It has been stated that well developed system of existing railroads with relatively moderate financial resources may contribute with launch of urban railway transport in Jelenia Góra.

Celem pracy było wybranie określonej grupy kryteriów względem których wykonane zostały badania ankietowe. Dotyczyły one pomiaru jakości funkcjonowania wybranego systemu komunikacji miejskiej. Na bazie określonej, ilościowej oceny kryteriów wyznaczono luki jakościowe. Kolejno dokonano analizy statystycznej uzyskanych wyników oraz przeprowadzono badanie punktualności kursowania autobusów.
The aim of this work was to select a specific set of criteria against which were made survey. They relate to measure of the quality of functioning selected urban transport system. On the basis of certain quantitative assessment of criteria the quality gap was set. Successively the statistical analysis in regards to obtained results was made and conducted the punctuality research of bus services.

Znaczna część tych uwarunkowań jest destruktywna, w tym zwłaszcza: wzrost liczby samochodów osobowych na świecie, duża emisja zanieczyszczeń z ruchu samochodów osobowych oraz brak spadku wielkości tej emisji mimo wzrastającej liczby samochodów niskoemisyjnych i problem kongestii. Jednak część uwarunkowań posiada charakter konstruktywny, w tym zwłaszcza: dostrzeganie przez władze, że jakość życia w mieście jest bardzo istotna, zmiany w myśleniu o transporcie w mieście – zwłaszcza dwie przełomowe – książka Jane Jacobs „Śmierć i życie wielkich miast Ameryki” oraz Raport Buchanana, a także zmniejszanie się liczby samochodów osobowych w wielkich miastach krajów rozwiniętych. Na takim tle przedstawiono przekształcenia transportowe miast służące poprawie jakości życia w zakresie: planowania ulic, płynności ruchu, uspokojenia oraz ograniczenia ruchu samochodów, komunikacji rowerowej, komunikacji urządzeniami transportu osobistego, a także rangi, integracji, dostępności i atrakcyjności komunikacji publicznej.
The aim of the article is to present current transformations of the city transport that serve to improve the quality of their residents’ lives. They result from various determinants that form the background for these transformations. A substantial number of these conditions is destructive, in particular: an increase in the number of passenger cars in the world, significant pollution from passenger car traffic and no decrease in this emission despite a growing number of low-emission cars and problems with congestion. However, some of these determinants are constructive, particularly: noting by the authorities that the quality of life in the city is essential, changes in thinking about transport in the city – especially two ground-breaking publications – Jane Jacobs’s book The Death and Life of Great American Cities and Buchanan’s report, as well as a decrease in the number of passenger cars in large cities of developed countries. In this context, urban transport transformations aiming to improve the quality of life are presented in terms of: street planning, traffic flow, slowing down and reducing car traffic, bicycle transportation, Personal Mobility Devices transportation, as well as the rank, integration, accessibility and attractiveness of public transport.

Opis:
The paper proposes the 3-D nonlinear mathematical model for analytic determination of exhaust concentration dynamics in the city regions under the important stipulation that an airflow velocity is not a priory known. To determine an unknown airflow velocity the nonlinear mathematical model is proposed and this nonlinear model is solved by analytical method. In this model it is provided that the turbulent and molecular diffusion coefficient changes depending on the vertical remoteness above the ground surface. The proposed model can be used for solutions of operative problems on urban traffic organization, of long-term planning of urban agglomeration development and new highway building.
