Opis:
The article presents issues related to legal regulations pertaining to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Poland and France. It describes commercial and non-commercial rules of UAV use. It also summarizes conditions concerning UAV weight, procedures of personnel and certification, as well as the space where UAVs may perform flight operations. Additionally, the application and use of UAVs in civil and military environments are described. It allows for the statement that the UAV role in air transport is increasing. Due to the benefits they offer, such as the possibility to remain in the air for a long time, performing flight operations in a harmful environment and little influence on the natural environment, UAVs will be increasingly important and systematically replacing manned aircraft.

Opis:
This article contains a description and analysis of the hypothetical application of the inland barge as an "aircraft carrier" with observation aircraft, both manned helicopters and unmanned drones. The equipment of the barge would include the infrastructure of aircraft servicing, storage and social space. This is the first presentation of such an idea in Polish literature and a continuation of previous researches on drones by the same author.

Opis:
This paper presents the design of a state observer which guarantees quadratic boundedness of the estimation error. By using quadratic Lyapunov stability analysis, the convergence rate and the ultimate (steady-state) error bounding ellipsoid are identified as the parameters that define the behaviour of the estimation. Then, it is shown that these objectives can be merged in a scalarised objective function with one design parameter, making the design problem convex. In the second part of the article, a UAV model is presented which can be made linear by considering a particular state and frame of reference. The UAV model is extended to incorporate a disturbance model of variable size. The joint model matches the structure required to derive an observer, following the lines of the proposed design approach. An observer for disturbances acting on the UAV is derived and the analysis of the performances with respect to the design parameters is presented. The effectiveness and main characteristics of the proposed approach are shown using simulation results.

Opis:
In this article, a project of an unmanned aerial system designed for monitoring of air pollution is presented. The system consists of an autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) equipped with a measurement head with sensors of chemical and physical properties of atmospheric air, and a ground control station arranged to store and display the collected data. The head contains modern sensors selective to the most important components of air in view of environmental pollution. Measurement data are acquired locally as well as transmitted wirelessly to a ground station. The UAV can be programmed to a particular measurement missions. The ground station dispose of a software for flight control and for visualisation of measurement results on-line. In this paper, an architecture of the entire system, a data processing performing by each subsystem, and communication methods between them are presented. This paper also includes a specification of sensors with their principles of operation, description of their metrological properties and the way, in which they are implemented in the designed electrical circuits. Results of preliminary tests in a laboratory and in a field, during a short flight, are also presented.
