Opis:: The paper deals with the measurement of intra-industry trade (IIT) in air transport services and it´s components (passenger and air cargo services) among the United States of America and 31 chosen countries in time period 2000-2011. For the purpose of analysis, we used traditional and alternative methods of IIT measurements. Results of the analysis confirm the existence of IIT in air transport services and it´s components (passenger and air cargo services between The United States of America and 31 chosen countries in time period 2000-2011. On the other hand, we are unable to determine the trend of IIT in air transport services between The United States of America and 31 chosen countries in time period 2000-2011because of fluctuating turnover values.
Статья посвящена анализу внутриотраслевой торговли (IIT) в авиатранспортных услугах и их компонентах (пассажирских и грузовых авиаперевозках) между Соединенными Штатами Америки и 31 выбранными странами в период 2000-2011 г. Для целей анализа были использованы традиционные и альтернативные методы измерения IIT. Результаты анализа подтверждают существование IIT в авиатранспортных услугах и их компонентах (пассажирских и грузовых перевозках) в воздухе между Соединенными Штатами Америки и 31 выбранными странами в период 2000-2011 г. С другой стороны, невозможно определить тенденции в IIT авиатранспортных услуг между Соединенными Штатами Америки и 31 выбранными странами в период 2000-2011 поскольку значения колеблются.

Wszystkie kraje na całym świecie stanęły w obliczu zupełnie nowej formy terroryzmu - zagrożenia terroryzmem za pomocą samolotów cywilnych jako broni. Termin RENEGADE jest używany do definiowania samolotów cywilnych, które są podejrzane o użycie jako broń do przeprowadzenia ataków terrorystycznych. Odpowiedzią na to zagrożenie jest Wspólna Koncepcja w Dziedzinie Bezpieczeństwa Transportu Lotniczego.

The analysis covered the years from 2011 to 2021. In addition, the market of air services, and air connections with Warszawa Okęcie International Airport were characterized.

The present study concentrates on simulators and simulating techniques used in Air Traffic Service Training Centre WSOSP (Air Force Academy) in Dęblin. There are two centres equiped with ATC simulators i.e. Aviation Training Centre PAŻP and Air Traffic Service Training Centre WSOSP (Air Force Academy) in Dęblin. It can be said that the simulator used in Air Force Academy is a unique piece of equipment worldwide because several functions are combined in it. It is a simulating complex enabling to carry out air traffic controller training and forward air controller – “battle field operators” training

Opis:: Poland – according to ICAO requirements, is obliged to conduct analyses of the coefficients adopted to assess the level of safety in civil aviation. They are carried out on the basis of the data contained in the ECCAIRS database. The authors have processed the data contained in this database by analysing them using various criteria (ICAO aviation occurrence categories, flight phases, different airports) to test the methodology of the safety indicators values forecasting and setting their “warning levels”. Exceedance of these levels could be a signal for taking preventive action by the relevant competent aviation authorities. The proposed method is based on the assumption that the determined parameters are governed by normal distribution rules (Gaussian). Parameter values calculated based on real data from 2016 were compared with those predicted a year earlier. It was found that the factors for different events have increased significantly - above the calculated warning levels, particularly for general aviation. The results of this analysis may support competent aviation authorities' decisions in areas where safety risks are most critical.

The main aim of this article is to present a balance of the decade of Polish air transport market in the European Union having taking into account selected entities of the aviation market. This article analyzes the functioning of the Polish air transport market after the polish accession to the European Union. During the study two main areas were pointed: air carriers activity and activity of the airports. The most important benefits of integration and the benefits of introducing of the open sky policy were indicated. The last part of article presents the perspectives od development of air traffic in Poland.

Opis:: The objective of this contribution is the application of a new methodology for assessing connectivity in passenger transport regarding selected tariff points accessibility in the context of developing the selected region. From the passenger´s point of view, it is necessary to specially assess the accessibility of lines within transportation, between the selected destinations using passenger air transport. The length of the travel time, the number of necessary transfers and the number of travel opportunities affects the possibilities of transport between place A and B. The connections and lines are thus influenced by many factors. This is the basic point to consider when designing a set of evaluation criteria for assessing the connectivity and in carrying out a case study for a specific region. In this paper, Václav Havel Airport in Prague (Czech Republic) with selected air transport connections were evaluated according to the proposed methodology.

Opis:: International air law imposes an obligation on the part of transport operators to operationalize risk management, and hence develop records of hazards and estimate the level of risk in the respective organization. Air transport is a complex system combining advanced technical systems, operators and procedures. Sources of hazards occur in all of these closely related and mutually interacting areas, which operate in highly dispersed spaces with a short time horizon. A highly important element of risk management is therefore to identify sources of danger, not only in terms of their own internal risks (the source of threats and activation of threats within the same transport organization), but also in the area of common risk (sources of threats beyond the transport system to which the activation of the hazard is related) and external risks (sources of threats outside the transport system). The overall risk management of a transport organization should consider all three risk areas. The paper presents an analysis of internal sources of threats to civil air operations and the resulting main risk areas. The article complements a previous paper by the same authors entitled “Analysis of external sources of hazards in civil air operations”.

Opis:: The competitive advantage of the passenger air transport market is a significant part of airline operations. An important element, a condition that may determine the achievement of competitive advantage, is the issue of safety, which also applies to the operation of aircraft. An example of creating an effective competitive advantage may be the operation of a new aircraft by air carriers. This article presents the process of creating a competitive advantage on the example of the Airbus A350 XWB and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft considering the safety aspect, which in the case of new means of transport in civil aviation may primarily concern the seeming childhood diseases occurring in the initial use of new aircraft. This article, in the form of comparative analysis, indicates the key features that determine the attractiveness of the new aircraft as a product on the passenger air transport market. Secondary data on the characteristics of the Airbus A350 XWB aircraft were used and compared with the data of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner to illustrate the properties that may indicate the manufacturer's superiority. Furthermore, this article proposes a scheme of creating competitive advantage in passenger air transport, which can be a model for creating a competitive advantage in civil aviation. The close relationship between the economic and technological aspects in creating competitive advantage was buttressed as well. This article also analysed secondary data related to the numer of ordered and used aircraft and aviation events registered on the website: https://aviation-safety.net [8], which could have an impact on the level of safety of flight operations. Brought to the fore were situations in which the seeming childhood diseases in aircraft operated by the American manufacturer, Boeing 787 Dreamliner, such as defects in engines, power elements and risks associated with the use of composite materials, which were first used on such a large scale in the construction of wide-body aircraft.

Opis:: Advancing process of transport market deregulation is a phenomenon which can be observed in recent years. At the same time the scope of available abilities of computerized traffic and transport management systems is widening as well as abilities of positioning transport entities and systems of telecommunication connecting transport components and subsystems. The paper presents some elements of SESAR conception and the authors own ideas about future systems of transport entities management (chiefly aircraft) as well as management of the whole transport system (for the most part air transport) in uniform European area in years 2020-2030.
W ostatnich latach obserwujemy postępujący proces deregulacji rynku transportowego. Jednocześnie rozszerza się zakres dostępnych możliwości komputerowych systemów zarządzania ruchem i transportem, systemów pozycjonowania jednostek transportowych, systemów teletransmisyjnych łączących elementy i podsystemy transportowe. W niniejszym opracowaniu zawarte są niektóre elementy koncepcji SESAR i własne przemyślenia autorów na temat przyszłych systemów zarządzania ruchem jednostek transportowych (głównie statków powietrznych) i zarządzania całym systemem transportu (głównie transportu lotniczego) w jednolitej europejskiej przestrzeni w latach 2020-2030.

Dlatego też, istotne jest by porty lotnicze dokonywały badań kryteriów wyboru pasażerskiego transportu lotniczego w celach realizacji procesów podstawowych realizowanych przez społeczeństwo. Opierając się na nich, istnieje możliwość poznania zachowań transportowych pasażerów, co pozwoliłoby na wprowadzenie zmian w strukturach organizacyjnych portów lotniczych, które skuteczniej zaspokajały ich potrzeby transportowe.
Polish airports play a key role in the country's logistic support system. In order to serve as many passengers as possible, they should look for innovative solutions. Therefore, it is essential that airports research the criteria for selecting passenger air transport in order to implement basic processes carried out by society. Based on them, it is possible to learn about the transport behavior of passengers, which would allow for changes in the organizational structures of airports to meet their transport needs more effectively.

Opis:: Obserwowany w ostatnich latach rozwój transportu lotniczego (załogowego oraz planowanego bezzałogowego [12]) powoduje, że liczba lotów obsługiwanych przez obecnie stosowany system planowania i kontroli przelotów IFR (Instrument Flight Rules - loty według wskazań przyrządów nawigacyjnych) zbliża się do swojej maksymalnej pojemności. Ośrodki naukowe, przewoźnicy, agencje odpowiedzialne za kontrolę ruchu lotniczego i podział przestrzeni lotniczej podejmują prace, w tym badania naukowe, zmierzające do zmiany sposobu organizacji ruchu lotniczego, którego ostatecznym celem ma być wprowadzenie przestrzeni lotów swobodnych [13]. Wspomniana zmiana wiąże się z koniecznością opracowania systemów, narzędzi w tym modeli i algorytmów umożliwiających automatyczne planowanie trasy przelotu jedynie na podstawie deklarowanych przez pilotów punktów początkowych i końcowych trasy. W artykule na tle obecnego sposobu organizacji przestrzeni powietrznej oraz obowiązujących procedur planowania i deklarowania lotu, przedstawiono propozycje wprowadzenia zmian w kierunku dostosowania obecnych rozwiązań do koncepcji funkcjonowania przestrzeni lotów swobodnych. Przedstawiono propozycję modelowania przestrzeni powietrznej oraz wykorzystujące te modele algorytmy automatycznego wyznaczania trasy przelotu samolotu przy założeniu, że jest to przestrzeń lotów swobodnych. Opisano również koncepcję zmian zarządzania przestrzenią powietrzną oraz zaproponowano metodę jej realizacji. Przy czym, na wstępie należy podkreślić, że praca nie przedstawia gotowego, szczegółowego rozwiązania. Skupia się na wskazaniu kierunku zmian, proponując kierunki poszukiwań i dalszych prac badawczych.
A future growth of aviation transport is being started to be restricted by some existing, at this moment, regulations regarding airspace structure and flight planning rules. Aviation community has encountered some barrier stopping further development of this aviation industry's branch. the future development require some solutions improving system's capability and productivity must be found and deploy. There are national, European and worldwide scientific projects lunched to research new solutions which could improve the system. The paper presents a concept of some amendments into flight planning procedures and propose the algorithm of automatics route generation related to so called Free Routing Airspace idea. The paper doesn't provide full, deployment-ready instruction regulation but focuses on general trends and point some directions of future research.
