Opis:: The analysis was carried out in 2010 of research on political preferences of Poles presented by the media. The analysis of the survey before its publication was proposed through a set of 20 questions assessing the reliability of the conducted study. Looking from the perspective of the adopted method of analyzing opinion polls, it seems that it can and should accompany media representatives today.

Opis:: The study presents the “EREJ” project tested with students at the University of Rzeszów. The project is important for the development of the ability to search for materials for work. It improves the ability to prepare a PPT presentation and write an essay, skills in oral and written communication, the ability to work individually and in a group, the ability to discuss, transmit feedback, and present work publically. The project is also important for increasing the knowledge in the field of environmental issues.

Opis:: Results of a survey conducted recently by the Mineralogical Sciences Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences among Polish geochemists, mineralogists and petrologists revealed a significant increase in a number of research articles published in ISI listed journals since the political and economic transformations in 1989 owing to the unrestricted international collaboration, better funding, unlimited access to worldwide journals and data bases and easier access to modern research equipment. Introduction of the so-called parametric evaluation of the performance of research institutions in Poland further motivates scientists to publish their papers in the most prestigious journals (category I and II on the ISI list). Relatively low impact of those articles measured by their low citation, especially by the low Hirsh index with the exception of a few authors whose papers are widely red, may have resulted from focusing on solving regional problems rather than tackling issues relevant to the whole scientific community. However, recently this trend has been reversed. The major obstacles in a more dynamic progress of Polish mineralogical sciences include limited access to modern equipment (there are only two electron microprobes in Poland available to mineralogists and none of ion microprobe) and unsatisfactory funding of research projects.

Opis:: This article presents the results of a survey using a questionnaire conducted in Algeria, to evaluate the quality of public drinking water service, and at the same time the level of dissatisfaction / satisfaction of the subscribers. A statistical analysis of the data has been conducted on a representative sample of general population to identify weaknesses and strengths related to the current state of water management. The assessment of the quality of service, and the quality of water, as well as the price of water under the influence of the geographical distribution of the population was also studied. The results of the statistical analyses show a wide variability regarding the level of dissatisfaction/satisfaction of the subscribers. In order to simplify the interpretation, we gathered the results in the form of classes and groups in such way that the cities appear on GIS mapping software, with their inhabitants’ degree of satisfaction.
W artykule przedstawiono wyniki ankiety przeprowadzonej w Algierii metodą kwestionariuszy celem oceny jakości usług publicznego zaopatrzenia w wodę, a tym samym satysfakcji/niezadowolenia ankietowanych. Statystyczną analizę danych przeprowadzono na reprezentatywnej próbie generalnej populacji, aby określić mocne i słabe strony bieżącego stanu gospodarki wodnej. Przeprowadzono także ocenę jakości usług, jakości wody i ceny wody w odniesieniu do geograficznego rozmieszczenia ludności. Wyniki analiz statystycznych wskazują na duże zróżnicowanie poziomu satysfakcji/niezadowolenia ankietowanych. Aby uprościć interpretację, zebrano wyniki w postaci grup i klas w taki sposób, że miasta pojawiają się w graficznym programie GIS wraz z poziomem satysfakcji ich mieszkańców.
