Thus, the involvement of local self-governments in the activity of sport clubs and supporting the idea of playing sports is important, what results in a healthy lifestyle. A general problem analysed in this papers is presentation of marketing activities pursued by the city and supporting the organisation of sport events, in order to promote the region.

Opis:: Cel badań. Wolontariat sportowy różni się od wolontariatu w ogóle. Wolontariusze sportowi mają odmienne motywy, czy stopień zaangażowania się (np. zwykle pozostają wolontariuszami dłużej). Przewiduje się, że ten typ wolontariatu będzie się bardzo szybko rozwijał z powodu coraz większej liczby imprez sportowych, które łączą się znacząco ze zdrowym stylem życia. Celem badań jest sprawdzenie, czy zachodzi relacja pomiędzy udziałem w wolontariacie sportowym a aktywnością fizyczną i zainteresowaniem sportem. Materiał i metody. Badania prowadzone były w dwóch grupach – badawczej i kontrolnej. Objęły one w sumie 138 respondentów. Metodą, która została użyta do badań był sondaż diagnostyczny w postaci ankiety. Metody statystyczne, które zostały wykorzystane do analizy wyników badań to test U Manna–Whitneya, test t-Studenta dla grup niezależnych, test 2. Obliczeń dokonano w programie Statistica 12 i Excel 2013. Wyniki. Obsługa imprez sportowych to domena młodych ludzi. Analiza wyników badań wykazała istotne różnice w aktywności fizycznej badanych grup. Wolontariusze z długim doświadczeniem angażowali się w pracę społeczne częściej, niż ci z krótkim stażem. Grupę kontrolną cechowała niska świadomość na temat wolontariatu sportowego. Wnioski. Istnieją znaczące różnice statystyczne w zainteresowaniu sportem zespołowym i indywidualnym w obu grupach. Potwierdzono, że wolontariusze sportowi istotnie częściej uprawiali sport rekreacyjny i wyczynowy niż osoby niezaangażowane w wolontariat. Sportowcy wyczynowi po zakończeniu kariery sportowej angażowali się w wolontariat sportowy.
Background. Sports volunteering is different from volunteering in general. Sports volunteers have specific motives and degree of commitment (e.g. usually they volunteer for a longer time). It is anticipated that this type of voluntary service will grow rapidly owing to the growing number of sports events associated with healthy lifestyle. The aim of the research was to verify whether there is a relationship between sports volunteering and physical activity or interest in sport. Material and methods. The research was conducted in two groups – the research and the control group. These involved the total of 138 people. The method used in the study was a diagnostic survey in the form of a questionnaire. The statistical methods of Mann-Whitney U test, t-Student test for independent samples, and test 2 were applied to analyse the results. The calculations were performed with the Statistica 12 and Excel 2013 software. Results. Volunteering in the service of sports events is dominated by young people. The analysis of the results showed significant differences in the physical activity of the studied groups. Volunteers with long experience engage in social work more often than those less experienced. The control group was characterized by low awareness of sports volunteering. Conclusions. There are significant differences between the groups regarding interest in both team and individual sport. It was proved that sports volunteers significantly more often practised professional and recreational sport than people not involved in volunteering. Professional athletes engaged in volunteering after retiring.

Opis:: This article discusses issues associated with exclusive rights to broadcast television coverage of sports events, in light of a decision of the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (hereafter, the UOKiK President) relating to a long-term licence agreement between the Polish Football Association and Canal+. It describes the special features of a sports event as the subject of licensing rights and discusses the impact of intellectual property issues on assessing whether agreements comply with the law on competition and consumer protection. Emphasis is put on the special role of analysing each case of exclusivity economically, particularly with regard to its long-term market effects and the significance of additional restrictions accompanying exclusivity. Attention is also drawn to the precedential nature of the position of the UOKiK President that media licences can, in justified cases, cover periods of several years.
L’article traite de questions liées à l’exclusivité en matière de retransmission télévisée d’évènements sportifs, à la lumière de la décision du Président de l’OCCP (Office polonais de la protection de la concurrence et des consommateurs) portant sur le contrat d’exploitation pluriannuel conclu entre la Fédération polonaise de football et Canal+. L’auteur y présente les caractéristiques particulières des manifestations sportives faisant l’objet de droits d’exploitation. L’article aborde également la question de l’impact de la propriété intellectuelle sur l’appréciation de la conformité des contrats conclus avec le droit de la protection de la concurrence et des consommateurs. L’auteur souligne par ailleurs le rôle particulier de l’analyse économique de chaque cas d’exclusivité, notamment de l’impact exercé sur le marché sur une période plus longue et de la portée des restrictions supplémentaires accompagnant l’exclusivité. Enfin, l’article évoque la position d’un précédent du Président de l’OCCP, en vertu de laquelle les droits d’exploitation peuvent, dans des cas justifiés, être cédés pour plusieurs années.
