Na terenie oczyszczalni dodatkowo często stwierdzano pleśnie z rodzajów: Absidia, Actinomucor, Botrytis, Chrysosporium, Trichoderma; w otoczeniu obiektu natomiast: Botrytis, Penicillium, Trichoderma i Trichothecium. Drożdże i grzyby drożdżoidalne zazwyczaj stanowiły niewielki procent ogólnej liczby grzybów. W próbkach powietrza pobranych na terenie oczyszczalni drożdże należały do gatunków: Candida sp., Cryptococcus laurentii, Hansenula sp., Pichia sp. oraz Rhodotorula sp., Saccharomyces cerevisiae: w otoczeniu oczyszczalni zaś do: Candida sp., Cryptococcus laurentii, Cryptococcus neoformans, Cryptococcus sp., oraz Trichosporon mucoides.
This paper characterizes the influence of constructed wetland system (with aerated and stabilizations ponds) on the mycological (moulds and yeast) pollution of atmospheric air at wastewater treatment plant (WTP) and in the surroundings. Air samples were collected in variable weather conditions, using sedimentation and impact methods, in 4 measurement series, i.e. in the summer and autumn 2006 and in the winter and spring 2007, in 11 sampling sites. The air-sampling locations were selected with respect to the highest expected emissions of the bioaerosol and wind velocity and direction on sampling days. Fungi were isolated on RBC (Rose Bengal Chloramphenicol Agar) medium. Moulds were the dominant fungal group in the WTP and surrounding area. According to the Polish Norm PN-89 Z-04 111/03, the number of fungi in air at WTP in autumn, winter and spring (except for the samples collected in autumn in a site near fence) were not harmful to human environment. However, the number of fungi exceeding 5.0 · 10³ jtk·m-³ in summer could have negative influence on the environment. Such large numbers of fungi occurred in air samples collected in summer in WTP area near several facilities (vertical sedimentation tank, reed field, tank for sludge storage); near the fence (also in autumn) and at a distance from 0 to 25 m from the fence. The prevailing microorganisms were moulds of the genus Alternaria, Aspergillus, Cladosporium, Diplosporium, Mucor, Scopulariopsis. Other moulds found in the air on the WTP premises belonged to the genus: Absidia, Actinomucor, Botrytis, Chrysosporium, Trichoderma; in the surroundings of the treatment plant there were also Penicillium, and Trichothecium. Yeast and yeast-like fungi constituted a small percentage of the total number of fungi. In the air samples collected at the constructed wetland area, the following taxa were identified (with the API 20 C AUX test): Candida sp., Cryptococcus laurentii, Cryptococcus sp., Hansenula sp., Pichia sp., Rhodotorula sp. and Saccharomyces cerevisiae; in the air of the surrounding area Candida sp., Cryptococcus laurentii, Cryptococcus neoformans, Cryptococcus sp. and Trichosporon mucoides were determined. - Źródło:
