    The article concerns the problem of the phrase research, whose results are being continuously published in the scientific journal 'Linguistic Meetings in Wrocław'. The article characterizes in detail the last volume, which has been published in 2015.

    L’objectif du présent article est de voir quels sont les critères retenus et comment est définie la phrase dans les ouvrages de référence français et polonais. La réflexion porte aussi sur l’élément central et la forme minimale de la phrase dans les deux langues. Ainsi sont présentées deux conceptions concurrentes qui se partagent – dans des proportions différentes pour chaque langue – les suffrages des chercheurs : celle qui prône le dictat du verbe et celle qui “répartit les pouvoirs” entre le sujet et le verbe.
    The goal of this research proposal is to present the criteria used to define a sentence in French and Polish reference works. The discussion also focuses on the central element and the minimal formation of a sentence in these two languages. Accordingly, there are two concurrent conceptions described which are more or less widely adopted by scientists and researchers: the “diktat” of the verb and the partnership between the verb and its subject.

    The subject of this article is musicality in selected reportages and one poem by Ryszard Kapuściński. In the introduction there are few words about history of coexistence between music and literature. I stick to the point of view represented by Michał Głowiński, based on his article: „Literary music – musicality of literature”. Then I do a detailed analysis of selected works, where the musicality is clearly visible. The first of these reportages – Wymarsz piątej kolumny – treats about two German women looking for their home after war. Kapuściński presents them with accompaniment of unpleasant, war music, which is the main substance in his reportage. Lumumba is a text about the African leader Patrice Lumumba. He became famous, because he fought with the Belgian regime. In this reportage the musicality is visible in a description of a reconstruction of the recording, in which the politician gives a speech. I also describe a poem about Louis Armstrong trumpet. This poem tells about Kapuściński’s impressions after the Armstrong concert in Chartum in 1960. At the end of my article, I sum up my interpretations.

    Opis:
    Understanding specialized discourse requires the identification and activation of knowledge structures underlying the text. The expansion and enhancement of knowledge is thus an important part of the specialized translation process (Faber 2015). This paper explores how the analysis of terminological meaning can be addressed from the perspective of Frame-Based Terminology (FBT) (Faber 2012, 2015), a cognitive approach to domain-specific language, which directly links specialized knowledge representation to cognitive linguistics and cognitive semantics. In this study, context expansion was explored in a three-stage procedure: from single terms to multi-word terms, from multi-word terms to phrases, and from phrases to frames. Our results showed that this approach provides valuable insights into the identification of the knowledge structures underlying specialized texts.

    The article is a review of family beliefs and habits embedded in dialect phrases that the author collected in several villages on the Lesser Poland-Masovian borderland. Such an approach to the subject comprehensively shows the cultural and moral sphere of a given community and preserves its specificity. As a rule organizing the material base, the author adopted the method of thematic fields, which will allow to distinguish conceptual categories typical of the rural linguistic and cultural community. Research on old customs and folk rituals – taking into account socio-economic transformations – is a bridge connecting the present with the past.

    Linguistic conceptualization of time in Tyniec translation of the Bible This article attempts to characterise various verbal connections with the word time in Tyniec translation of the Bible. Expressions with the word time give ample material, allowing for multi-linguistic analysis, it is more than 800 examples of the word time (684 in the Old Testament and 160 in the New Testament), after taking account of other word units associated with the determination of time, it is more than 4,000 word units. Expressions with the word time in Polish edition of the Bible reflect the mind-set and culture, manifested in the Polish language, of course, inextricably linked with the biblical Semitic motivations. Time in the Bible is thus conceptualized as a measurable physical quantity, synthesizing different units of measure: size, length, but also the weight (e.g. hard times), a certain continuity of religious events focused on eternity and as a sacred cycle. The clearest expression seems to be the right time, understood as a convenient, appropriate moment.

    Der Beitrag präsentiert eine Übersicht über verschiedene Anspielungstypen, die in der deutschen Tagespresse im politischen und wirtschaftlichen Diskurs zu verzeichnen sind. Vorgenommen werden linguistische Analysen zu belegten Anspielungstypen nach ihrer Form (Wortspiele, Abwandlungen formelhafter Wendungen, Metaphern u. a.) und der Wahrscheinlichkeit, mit der die jeweilige Anspielung als solche vom Empfänger erkannt wird. Im zweiten Schritt wird versucht, zu ermitteln und zu begründen, welche Funktionen sich den Anspielungen im konkreten Textzusammenhang zuschreiben lassen.
    Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie sposobów formułowania wypowiedzi aluzyjnych, zaczerpniętych z wybranych niemieckich artykułów prasowych dotyczących wydarzeń politycznych i ekonomicznych. Dokonano charakterystyki językoznawczej różnych typów wypowiedzi podtekstowych, które powstały m. in. poprzez odwołanie się do utrwalonych form językowych (np. cytatów, przysłów, metafor itp.) lub za pomocą gier słownych. Zwrócono uwagę na możliwości rozpoznania form wyjściowych przez odbiorcę, stanowiących bazę do formułowania wypowiedzi podtekstowych. W kolejnym kroku podjęto próbę interpretacji funkcji, jakie analizowane wypowiedzi aluzyjne pełnią w danym tekście.  
    The article presents an overview of different types of allusive statements, using original examples from German press articles in the field of politics and economics. In the first part, a linguistic analysis of the form of allusive statements, which is often based on word-play, modifications of idioms, metaphors, etc., has been carried out. In the second part, the article demonstrates and explains the functions which can be ascribed to the allusive statements, with references to context, situation and intention of the language user.

    У статті описано методологію та методи дослідження інтонації діалектного мовлення. Закцентовано на проблемах, що постають перед експлораторами під час запису матеріалу, йдеться зокрема про технічні характеристики звукових файлів, питання підбору інформантів, можливості опрацювання зашумлених текстів. Джерельну базу формують власні записи автора, а також аудіозаписи з Українського діалектного фонофонду Інституту української мови НАН України. Особливу увагу приділено членуванню діалектної оповіді на окремі сегменти. Засвідчено відмінності між реальним звучанням діалектного мовлення і його сприйняттям під час слухового аналізу. Наголошено на необхідності використання спеціальних програм для аналізу звукового мовлення.
    The phonetics of Ukrainian dialects has long been an object of analyses. Researchers describe the structural originality of the speech, establishing the composition of the segmental units in different dialects, their significance to the phonological system of the dialect, systematizing knowledge about the manifestations and relationships of phonemes. In Ukrainian linguistics, dialect intonation remains unexplored. The reasons included the complexity of the methodology and the methodology of the analysis (from recording speech material to its direct processing).As the title implies, the article describes the choice of methods and methodologies for research into the intonation of dialectal speech. Much attention has been devoted to the recording of speech, its technical descriptions and the selection of the informants. The article focuses on the features of segmentation ofdialectal speech. This study shows the difference between a real sound file and its processing during an auditory analysis. The need is stressed to employ special software for analysing verbal material

    Настоящая статья посвящена описанию возможностей, которые предоставляются параллельным корпусом InterCorp при переводе польских метаоператоров на русский язык и обнаружению в текстах аналогичных русских конструкций. Автор обсуждает вопрос о трактовке понятий репродукт, многолексемная единица и фразема в трудах польских лингвистов, которые всё больше подчёркивают необходимость помещения в одноязычных и многоязычных словарях упомянутых образований. Особенное внимание обращается на предоставленные Войцехом Хлебдой метаоператоры, которые служат вспомогательным инструментом в процессе извлечения из текстов воспроизводимых сверхлексемных образований. Описываются возможности и ресурсы польских и русских коллекций, содержащихся в корпусе InterCorp, а затем проводится анализ выбранных метаоператоров разных категорий.
    The article describes the possibilities offered by the parallel corpus InterCorp in the process of translating Polish metaoperators into Russian and searches in the texts the analogous Russian word constructions. The author raises the problem of the interpretation of such concepts as reproduct, multiword unit and phrase in the publications of Polish linguists who more often emphasize the need to define the above-mentioned units by mono- and multilingual dictionaries. The article refers to the metaoperators proposed by Wojciech Chlebda, which are used as an auxiliary tool in the search process from reproducible texts of multiword units. The The possibilities and resources of Polish and Russian collections included in the InterCorp corpus were described, and then selected meta-operators of various categories were analyzed.     Niniejszy artykuł poświęcony jest opisowi możliwości, jakich dostarcza korpus równoległy InterCorp w procesie tłumaczenia polskich metaoperatorów na język rosyjski i wyszukiwania w tekstach analogicznych rosyjskich konstrukcji. Autor porusza kwestię interpretacji pojęć reprodukt, wielowyrazowa jednostka języka i frazem w pracach polskich językoznawców, którzy coraz częściej podkreślają konieczność odnotowywania wspomnianych jednostek przez słowniki jedno- i wielojęzyczne. Szczególną uwagę zwraca się na zaproponowane przez  Wojciecha Chlebdę metaoperatory, które służą jako narzędzie pomocnicze w procesie wyzyskiwania z tekstów odtwarzalnych wielowyrazowych jednostek. Opisano możliwości i zasoby polskich i rosyjskich kolekcji, zawartych w korpusie InterCorp, a następnie dokonano analizy wybranych metaoperatorów różnych kategorii.
