Opis:
This paper deals with selected problems connected with transport means operation quality. Basic concepts concerning the problems of quality have been defined, and general characteristics of the elaborated methodology have been made. Description of rules on the basis of which the method was elaborated, has been presented. An algorithm of mathematical model determination has been created and a model for quality assessment of the system operation has been built. This model is supposed to serve as a general abstract form for operation quality assessment of a wide class of real transport systems different in terms of their features, structure and operation. The further part of the paper deals with possibilities of quality control in order to provide the desired level of the transport system operation quality which will be an effect of the carried out research, especially, the results, obtained on the basis of the proposed assessment method. The presented methodology can be found to be a universal tool for diagnostic, prognostic processes, and above all, for optimization and rational control ofcomplex systems of technical object using, especially transport ones through assessment of their states, determined on the basis of changes of significant features characteristic for the system.

In this paper there has been developed a method for the transport system operation quality assessment. The concept of the transport system quality has been defined. There has also been described the proposed evaluation method and the process of an assessment model construction. Basic features of the metrical space have been characterized and a proposition o f a system operation quality evaluation metrics has been presented. Also, studies concerning the choice of assessment criteria and distinction of the most signiflcant set of features accepted for the resultant model of the examined transport system operation quality, have been presented. It should be emphasized that using the presented method it is possible to make an assessment of the same system, in different times, with the assumption that the rating is performed on the basis of homogenous criteria, and with the use of a set of the same features, distinguished for the deser iption of the research object.

Głównym celem artykułu jest przedstawienie najważniejszych modeli rachunku kosztów jakości dla przedsiębiorstw oraz ich funkcji. Ponadto autor podejmuje próbę oceny zaprezentowanych modeli pod kątem możliwości ich zastosowania w różnych typach organizacji. W pierwszej części rozważania skupiają się na strukturalnych modelach kosztów jakości. Drugi punkt dotyczy charakterystyki modeli opartych na działaniach. W trzeciej części zawarte są dotychczasowe zastosowania modeli rachunku kosztów jakości. Obiekt badań stanowi rachunek kosztów jakości, który w praktyce gospodarczej wykorzystywany jest jako narzędzie stosowane do pomiaru i optymalizacji kosztów jakości. W pracy przeprowadzono analizę piśmiennictwa naukowego z zakresu rachunkowości, zarządzania jakością oraz zastosowano metody indukcji i dedukcji. Globalizacja oraz rozwój naukowo-techniczny spowodowały, że w  centrum uwagi przedsiębiorców znalazł się klient i  jego potrzeby. Aby sprostać wymaganiom i  potrzebom konsumentów, poprzez oferowanie produktów/usług najwyższej jakości, przedsiębiorstwa coraz większą uwagę skupiają na stosowaniu rachunku kosztów jakości. Tradycyjne modele rachunku kosztów jakości straciły na znaczeniu, rośnie natomiast zainteresowanie modelami opartymi na działaniach oraz postrzegającymi produkt/usługę z perspektywy konsumenta, zwiększa się także rola takich modeli.
The main aim of the article is to present the most important models of quality costs calculation for companies and their functions. Furthermore, the author attempts to evaluate the presented models in terms of their applicability in various types of organisations. The first part of the discussion focuses on structural quality costs models. The second point concerns the characteristics of action-based models. The third part contains the current uses of models of quality costs calculation. The research object is a quality costs calculation, which in economic practice is used as a tool for measure and optimize quality costs. The paper provides the analysis of the scientific literature in the field of accounting, quality management and applies methods of induction and deduction. Globalisation and the development of science and technology have placed the customer and his needs in the centre of entrepreneurs’ attention. To meet the needs and demands of consumers by offering the highest quality products/services, companies are focusing on the use of quality costs calculation. Traditional models of quality costs calculation have become less important, but the interest and role of models based on the activities and product/service perceptions of the consumer are growing.

Wdrożenie, zarządzanie i doskonalenie procesem enauczania na wyższej uczelni jest złożonym zagadnieniem. Elearning, choć obecny w polskich i zagranicznych uczelniach wyższych już od wielu lat, wciąż wzbudza wiele dyskusji, emocji oraz kontrowersji, w szczególności w zakresie jakości procesu edukacyjnego. W artykule opisano próbę zastosowania cyklu Deminga w procesie doskonalenia jakości e-edukacji na różnych poziomach procesu e-kształcenia, począwszy od etapu przygotowania, projektowania, wdrożenia, realizacji po ewaluację i ocenę efektów kształcenia. Opisana metodologia została z sukcesem wypróbowana w doskonaleniu jakości e-nauczania na Politechnice Częstochowskiej.
The implementation of e-learning in higher schools is undoubtedly a complex undertaking. Although it has been present in the Polish and worldwide education for a certain period of time, e-learning still arouses a lot of emotions, particularly in ensuring quality of the educational process. The paper presents the possibility of using a PDCA approach to improve the e-education quality at different levels of implementation of the distance learning/teaching process, from the preparation of an e-course through its implementation and realization, to evaluation and assessment of the learning outcomes. The described methodology has been successfully applied with a view to improving the e-learning process at the Czestochowa University of Technology.

Opis:
The approach for analytical modelling operation processes of composed and integrated information systems is proposed. It allows to estimate the reliability and timeliness of information producing, the completeness, validity and confidentiality of the used information from users’ point of view. In application to composed and integrated systems the existing models are developed by introducing the space of elementary events for operation processes from system engineering point of view. Opis:
Quality costs calculation is a tool companies use to measure quality costs. The origins of interest in the field noted in foreign literature and practice date to the end of the 1960s, while in Poland the subject has been known since the 1970s. The purpose of the paper is to present and classify selected models of quality costs calculation. The consequences of the undertaken research work will be the organization of knowledge about models of this calculation, and the specification of the key elements used to build them. Quality costs calculation is the subject of the research. In order to achieve the pursued research objective the critical analysis method was applied to the literature on the subject in the areas of quality management and management accounting, as well as to selected journals. The present paper forms a body of theory with which to develop the author’s own model of quality costs calculation.

Opis:
The work purpose is the quantitative proof of importance and necessity of increasing adequacy of probabilistic models, described by probability distribution functions (PDF) of time between losses of system integrity. For purpose achievement the analysis of probabilistic metrics of risks and the elementary forms to establish an admissible risks is carried out, some ways of increasing an adequacy of probabilistic models for complex structures are described. Possibilities of extracting the latent knowledge from an adequate PDF are shown. Practical value of the researches are the revealed possibilities for a substantiation of more effective system decisions at the expense of increasing accuracy of risks prediction. Effects are demonstrated by examples.

Employee Suggestion Schemes have been used in organizations for a long time due to the fact that they enable fostering of creative ability of employees. However, they must be used effectively and in a sustainable manner to better the creativity and innovation capacity of organizations in order to improve competitive advantage. Therefore there is a need to understand the maturity of Employee Suggestion Schemes. This paper proposes a new, structured evaluation tool for assessing an organizational Employee Suggestion Scheme maturity. It suggests five building blocks: Leadership and Work Environment, System Capability, System Effectiveness, Organizational Encouragement and System Barriers, each of them characterized by several relevant indicators and an assessment/grading scale in order for an organization to be able to determine the maturity level of their Employee Suggestion Scheme as: Initial stage, Development stage or Advanced stage. Organizations should apply this tool to assess the maturity level of their Employee Suggestion Scheme and draw a roadmap for its improvements.

Opis:
The main purpose of this paper is to present approach to QoS/QoE monitoring and parametric model creation for IPTV service. Monitoring system was used to perform on-line monitoring both MPEG TS parameters and subjective assessments (MOS). The second part of this work present parametric model for IPTV service, which describes relationships between single network parameters such as: jitter, packet loss, packet corrupt and throughput and subjective/objective quality measures (MOS, MSE). Created model shows influence of modified network conditions on the perceived video quality for variety vide o sequences extracted from IPTV network stream. This work also presents methodology of tests and their results which can be used to estimate the perceived quality for changes associated with modification of single network parameters.
Głównym celem artykułu jest przedstawienie podejścia do monitorowania QoS/QoE i tworzenia modeli parametrycznych dla usługi IPTV. System monitorowania został użyty do monitorowania on-line parametrów (TS) MPEG i subiektywnej oceny (MOS). Druga część pracy prezentuje model parametryczny dla usług IPTV, który opisuje relacje między poszczególnymi parametrami sieciowymi, takimi jak: jitter, utrata pakietów, pakiety uszkodzone i przepustowość oraz subiektywnych/obiektywnych miar jakości (MOS, MSE). Stworzony model pokazuje wpływ zmiany warunków sieciowych na postrzeganą jakość wideo dla różnych sekwencji wideo pochodzących ze strumienia IPTV. Praca przedstawia również metodologię badań i wyniki, które można wykorzystać do oszacowania postrzeganej jakości zmian związanych z modyfikacją poszczególnych parametrów sieciowych.

Purpose: The primary purpose of the paper is to present the authors' own model of a temperature controlled warehouse management model. The detailed objectives of the paper is to review literature and normative acts on the subject matter and to develope a warehouse scheme as a system which provides the basis for modelling. Design/methodology/approach: Qualitative methods of input data collection were used to build a temperature controlled warehouse management model. The data included was based on observation of the environment, auditors' experience in quality management systems, desk research, as well as an analysis of literature on the subject matter and a conceptual framework. Findings: The model of warehouse management with temperature control takes into account static and dynamic factors resulting from the specificity of the storage process. Originality/value: The designed temperature controlled warehouse safety management model, which applies to a warehouse where food products are stored, takes organisational, legal and technical aspects into account. The model takes into account the hazards which can affect both kinds of the presented aspects (organisational, legal and technical), which is an essential part of the model.

This paper deals with the problems connected with evaluation of a technical system and its being later used for decision making in order to provide complex technical systems with appropriate operation quality. The research object is a real municipal transportation system. The assessment quality of the systems operation is based on the changes of the systems features values. The features describe the operation of the systems operators, controlled technical objects and the environment influence. The assessment and the support the demand quality of the systems operation from the safety, efficiency, economic and reliability point of view is the basic factor of the executed exploitation process. The notion of a system operation quality has been defined, a scheme of an assessment model has been presented and a random process, providing the basis for evaluation of a technical system, has been developed. On the basis of carried out experimental tests there have been distinguished four states of a system operation quality reflecting intervals of values of grades that were characteristic for given time moments. A model of system operation qualitative state changes, based on Markov chain, has been considered in this paper. A system of equations has been determined for a distinguished Markov chain on the basis of which a mathematical model for assessment and control of selected types of transportation systems will be developed.

The paper is concerned with the application of the original mathematical models and supporting them software technologies to forecast, analyze and optimize reliability and risks for complex systems (system is defined as a combination of interacting elements organized to achieve one or more stated purposes). Functionality and usability to analyze information system processes and standard processes in system life cycle are presented. Rational use of the proposed results allows to go «from a pragmatical filtration of information to generation of the proved ideas and effective decisions». Effects are demonstrated by examples.

Opis:
The basis of operation systems functioning is their ability to accomplish set goals, in given conditions, place, quantity and time. Assessment of their operation quality is a summary measurement of their efficiency, reliability, safety, environment friendliness and ergonomics. The analysis of literature on this subject proves, that studying the systems operation quality is one of the main factors, which make up the processes of their service, repairs, control, supply, diagnostics, and most of all, operation of used machines and devices. The studied systems belong to socio-technical systems of the type H–M–E (human–machine–environment), to which the discussed transport system, being the research object of this work, belongs as well. Basing on the author's own research and the identification of processes occurring within the studied object, a method and a model for its operation quality assessment have been developed and discussed in the article. Application of the method enables making an assessment of the research object operation quality, depending on changes of values of features describing the actions of operators, technical objects operated by them and the impact of the environment.
Podstawą działania systemów eksploatacji jest realizacja postawionych im celów w określonych warunkach, miejscu, ilości i czasie. Ocena jakości ich funkcjonowania stanowi zbiorczą miarę zarówno pod względem efektywności, niezawodności, bezpieczeństwa, ekologiczności, jak i ergonomiczności. Z analizy literatury przedmiotowej wynika, że badanie jakości funkcjonowania tych systemów stanowi jeden z podstawowych czynników w procesach obsługowo-naprawczych, sterowania, zasilania, diagnozowania, a w szczególności użytkowania eksploatowanych w nich maszyn i urządzeń. Omawiane systemy zalicza się do systemów socjotechnicznych typu (człowiek–maszyna–otoczenie), wśród których wyróżnić można system transportowy, stanowiący w niniejszym opracowaniu obiekt badań. Na podstawie wyników własnych badań eksploatacyjnych oraz identyfikacji procesów realizowanych w obiekcie badań w opracowaniu przedstawiono metodę oraz zbudowano model oceny jakości działania takich systemów. Zastosowanie tej metody umożliwia ocenę jakości ich działania, realizowaną w zależności od zmian wartości cech opisujących działanie operatorów, sterowanych przez nich obiektów technicznych oraz wpływu otoczenia.

Some of these frameworks are quality-oriented, others are financially-oriented but only a few of them are environmentallyoriented. The aim of the paper is to delineate selected environmental excellence models on account of their comparison. The main motive for the selection of the paper's topic were researches conducted by various authors who have dealt with environmental excellence models, respectively with self-assessment based on existing environmental excellence models. To fulfil the aim of the paper, secondary research is to be conducted. Based on the methods of analysis, comparison and selection, the most frequently occurring criteria of analysed environmental excellence models are to be identified. As a main finding may be considered that three of four environmental excellence models consist of various criteria, while most of these criteria are similar. However, criteria based on another important principles are not included in more than one of mentioned environmental excellence models. This obliges to further research aimed at developing an integrated environmental excellence model consisting of the most important criteria.
Przedsiębiorstwa wykorzystują wiele narzędzi zarządzania, aby zapewnić osiągnięcie pożądanego celu. Niektóre z tych narzędzi są nastawione na jakość, inne mają charakter finansowy, ale tylko nieliczne z nich mają na uwadze aspekt środowiskowy. Celem artykułu jest opisanie wybranych środowiskowych modeli doskonałości w celu ich porównania. Podstawowy motywem przyświecający wyborowi tematyki artykułu stanowiły badania przeprowadzone przez różnych autorów, którzy mieli do czynienia z owymi modelami, a także samodzielna ocena istniejących modeli. Aby zrealizować cel artykułu, przeprowadzono badania wtórne. W oparciu o metody analizy, porównanie i selekcję, zidentyfikowano najczęściej występujące kryteria opisywanych środowiskowych modeli doskonałości. Jako główny wynik badań można potraktować fakt, że trzy z czterech środowiskowych modeli doskonałości składają się wprawdzie z różnych kryteriów, które są jednak do siebie podobne. Jednakże kryteria bazujące na innych ważnych zasadach nie są ujęte w więcej niż jednym ze wspomnianych modeli. To obliguje do dalszych badań mających na celu rozwój i integrację środowiskowych modeli doskonałości składających się z najważniejszych kryteriów.
