The article deals with the reception of Austrian literature – as it has been presented in “Literatura na Świecie” – since the magazine was founded in 1971. The main goal has been to analyze the ways in which the magazine has contributed to the spread of literature among Polish readers. Because of the breadth of the topic, the article focuses on specific problems in: the representativeness of the works printed or excerpted, the portrayal of Austrian writers, the reviews of texts, critical reviews, translations, and discussions regarding translations. The analysis indicates that the magazine has contributed to the expansion of knowledge concerning Austrian literature and its main representatives, (Rainer Maria Rilke, Robert Musil, Elias Canetti, Franz Kafka, Georg Trakl, Paul Celan, Ilse Aichinger, Elfriede. Jelinek and others , and others), their specificity, along with the historical and cultural conditions of the literature and its proponents.
In diesem Beitrag wird die Rezeption der österreichischen Literatur in der Zeitschrift „Literatura na Świecie” vom Beginn ihres Bestehens im Jahr 1971 vorgestellt. Die hauptsächliche Aufgabe bestand darin, dem polnischen Leser die österreichische Literatur näherzubringen. Im Hinblick auf den überaus großen Umfang des Themas wurde der Zugang anhand von Problemfeldern gewählt. Im Zentrum der Betrachtung finden sich Fragen wie z.B. die nach dem repräsentativen Charakter gedruckter Werke oder Fragmente, nach den Lebensläufen von österreichischen Schriftstellern, Werkbesprechungen, Rezensionen, Übersetzungen und damit verbundene Diskussionen. Im Lichte dieser Unternehmungen lässt sich feststellen, dass die Zeitschrift zur Verbreitung des Wissens über die österreichische Literatur und ihre Hauptvertreter (R.M. Rilke, R. Musil, E. Canetti, F. Kafka, G. Trakl, P. Celan, I. Aichinger, E. Jelinek und andere) sowie über ihre Eigenheiten und ihr historisches und kulturelles Umfeld maßgeblich beigetragen hat.
W artykule przedstawiona została recepcja literatury austriackiej na łamach czasopisma „Literatura na Świecie” od początku jego istnienia (1971). Głównym celem było ukazanie sposobów przybliżania tej literatury polskiemu czytelnikowi. Ze względu na dużą rozpiętość tematu zastosowano ujęcie problemowe, w centrum uwagi znalazły się takie kwestie, jak: reprezentatywność drukowanych utworów (lub ich fragmentów), sylwetki pisarzy austriackich, omówienia utworów, recenzje, działalność przekładowa i związane z nią dyskusje. W świetle tych poczynań można stwierdzić, że pismo przyczyniło się do poszerzenia wiedzy o literaturze austriackiej, jej głównych przedstawicielach (R.M. Rilke, R. Musil, E. Canetti, F. Kafka, G. Trakl, P. Celan, I. Aichinger, E. Jelinek i in.), specyfice, uwarunkowaniach historycznych i kulturowych. - Źródło:
