Opis:
We always asked what an Art is and what not? This question supposes, that it exist criterions, which differ artwork from another objects. But no such criteria exist like that. All objects can be art. An interpretation is a necessary condition for art, because an object causes a change in the normal to the artistic objects. This change is possible if we accept a fact, that the objects have not fixed meaning and they are depending on context in which they are used. The meaning of objects is depending on apercipient an interpretation, for which a percipient decide. Interpretations are produced in a society in which percipient lives. We will introduce a three authority, which have a greatest power to enforce their interpretations. The authority of museum, critics and media.

Opis:
This paper considers the foundations of legal interpretation against the background of the theory of embodied cognition and mental simulation. It is argued that interpretation has a double, concrete-abstract nature. The understanding of concrete language is made possible by the mechanism of mental simulation. In turn, the interpretation of abstract language (and hence of most of legal language) requires to apply the procedures of exemplification, paraphrase and embedding. The relationship between these two modes of language comprehension is analyzed and the thesis is defended that they represent two extremes of a continuous spectrum rather than isolated mechanisms. Finally, the significance of such a conception of interpretation for legal methodology is considered. It is argued that the conception provides a unifying, foundational framework for any theory of legal interpretation, as well as generates fresh insights into the nature of understanding legal statutes. cancelcancel

The author of the article proposes the way of reading and interpreting Olga Tokarczuk’s novel at high school. The choice of the novel results not only from the changes in curricu-lum, but also from a chance of enriching the lists of obligatory reading with the texts under-taking interesting problems such as relation between man and animals. The scholar sees here a counterweight for problems connected with liberation of the nation or social topics that seem to dominate in Polonistic discourse at high¬ school. The very presence of Olga Tokar-czuk’s novel at Polish language classes would question an anthropocentric way of interpret-ing the world around.

The article presents the possibilities of using the techniques of synestics in the process of teaching how to interpret poetry. The author of the article uses exercises and techniques of synestics in two functions: educational and didactic. She creates situation in which students have not read the text they were asked to read and explains how exercises can lead to devel-oping self¬ awareness that encourages reading. A lesson that leads to interpreting Anna Świr-szczyńska’s poem Budowałam barykadę [I Built a Barricade] motivates reading Adam Mickie-wicz’s Reduta Ordona [Ordon’s Redoubt]. The author describes a process of presenting poetic texts to the lower secondary school student in a way that makes him realize important exis-tential problems undertaken by the poetry.

The child at school is not an empty container that Teacher wants to fulfill with wisdom. Every child has its own inner potential, its own possibilities and the desire to become something, to make something meaningful. Our task is to recognize and respect this potential, to help the student through the content of the learning material, to find their own ways, how to develop the potential in their own favor and for social acceptance. It seems absurd, but it is logical that this potential of individuals can only be recognized by allowing them to express themselves in their own way. In order for them to have the freedom of choice of activities, content and social relationships in the learning process to reach the goals they set for themselves, including those needed for social acceptance of themselves.

Opis:
Gianni Vattimo, who is both a Catholic and a frequent critic of the Church, explores the surprising congruence between Christianity and hermeneutics in light of the dissolution of metaphysical truth. As in hermeneutics, Vatimo claims, interpretation is central to Christianity. Influenced by hermeneutics and borrowing largely from the Nietzschean and Heideggerian heritage, the Italian philosopher, who has been instrumental in promoting a nihilistic approach to Christianity, draws here on Nietzsche’s writings on nihilism, which is not to be understood in a purely negative sense. Vattimo suggests that nihilism not only expands the Christian message of charity, but also transforms it into its endless human potential. In “The Age of Interpretation,” the author shows that hermeneutical radicalism “reduces all reality to message,” so that the opposition between facts and norms turns out to be misguided, for both are governed by the interpretative paradigms through which someone (always a concrete, historically situated someone) makes sense of them. Vattimo rejects some of the deplorable political consequences of hermeneutics and claims that traditional hermeneutics is in collusion with various political-ideological neutralizations.

Opis:
The experience a work of art may rise different reactions, especially in the sphere of postmodern artistic practice. The art not only delights, but often provokes, offends and causes scandals. That aspect of the process of experience the art is a fundamental problem of the article’s discussion. These contemplations are not delimited to works of the modern art, however it also applies to the traditional art, after all it is easy to notice that the scandal is not only associated with what is contemporary. The analysis of the problem also shows the variation of these issues and emphasizes that the experience of offence is the result of the interplay of many factors, including the practice of interpretation and contextual determinants. In other words, not only the content and form of artistic communication, but also the contextual background co-decide about work’s cultural identity and its possible realisations and, what is more, co-define the way of art’s existence for the recipient. As a result, the experience of scandal seems not to be only a feature of a product or project, but it emerges as an interpretive concretization of its presence in the area of cultural reality.

Epistolary writing has been known for ages and has won a significant position in the history of literature. One of the most intriguing exchanges of letters known from the 20th century started nine days before the wedding of the renowned artist Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz with an aristocrat Jadwiga von Urunh. The first letter is dated to the 21st of March 1923 and the last on the 24th of August 1939. The letters of Witkacy to his wife have been for many years surrounded by a veil of mystery. They can be read as a history of a certain relationship, a study of loneliness, a historical and social life chronicle or as a comment on artistic activity. The set comprises 1278 letters, postcards and wires. In this edition it is divided into two equal parts of which the first one includes the letters, while the second presents the commenting notes written by Professor Janusz Degler. The editors divided the whole set into four parts of which three volumes of Witkacy’s letters to his wife from the years 1923–1927, 1928–1931, 1932–1935 have already been published. Unfortunately, none of the letters written by Jadwiga to her husband has been found, so we know the correspondence exclusively from the side of a daily writer Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz.

Opis:
The author analyzes three works by Potocki from the collection of the Moralia. The poet intended them to exemplify the titular sentence "Whoever is too much in a hurry, must do the same thing twice." This is a translation of the Latin maxim from the collection of Erasmus of Rotterdam's Adagia: Qui nimium properat, serius absolvit to which Potocki draws, giving up the typical of the Dutch humanist references to antiquity and making the motifs of the Adagia the basis of narration placed in the realities of 17th-century Poland. What is stressed here is the poet's tendency to autobiographism (simulated at times) and to a detailed description and the construction of a decentralized vision of the presented world. The considerations conclude with a statement that the reading of Potocki requires that the references to learned tradition be taken into account, which the poet knew very well, and to Sarmatian everyday reality, which was for him the source of artistic inspiration.
