Opis:
This paper analyzes the behaviour of a fuzzy expert system for evaluating the dependence among successive operator actions, through a sensitivity analysis on the fuzzy input partitioning and assessment. Preliminary results are presented with respect to a case study concerning two successive tasks of an emergency procedure in a nuclear reactor. Work is in progress to perform a thorough sensitivity analysis to generalize the results obtained.

The article presents the concept of automated final process of aircraft taxiing to the gate at the terminal. On the basis of an analysis of the possibilities of aircraft taxiing in civil airports, the authors attempted at optimizing this process. The main objective of the project is to reduce the taxiing time, consequently reducing fuel consumption as well as the rotation time. As a result of the work, the authors designed a controller based on fuzzy logic, which, depending on the initial parameters, calculates the set values for the execution system of aircraft control in the horizontal plane and for the taxi speed. The controller receives two input signals, which determine two output signals. The designed controller allows comprehensive and fully automated aircraft steering. The project relies on data with regard to the apron class D, suited to handle aircraft with a wingspan of up to 52 m and the characteristics of a Boeing 767-200 in speed taxiing and the maximum turn of the nose gear. The measurements of the apron have been adopted in accordance with international regulations in the ICAO DOC 9157 “Aerodrome Design Manual”. The maximum deviation of the nose gear from the centre line was assumed 2.5 m in each direction and a safe distance behind the immobile aircraft equal to 25 m. The length of the Boeing aircraft 767-200 is below 48 m, therefore the input boundary parameters are equal to +/- 2.5 m from the centre line and 80 m from the designated aircraft stand (nose gear). The article presents the project of the controller and its optimization. The authors simulated the controller operation in the package MATLAB “Simulink”. The article ends with data analysis and final conclusions.

The article discusses the manner of controlling the propulsion system in the aircraft Zlin 143LSi, which is equipped with a piston engine driving a variable-pitch propeller. All the operating procedures are carried out manually by the pilot in accordance with the flight manual. The authors attempted at developing the project of a controller based on fuzzy logic, whose main goal was automating the control system of the propulsion unit, thus lowering the level of difficulty of pilotage, and increasing the economics of the operation. The project was made in an interactive environment FuzzyLogic Toolbox of the MATLAB programme. In the analysis, three input parameters were taken into account, exerting an impact on changing the rotational speed of the propeller: the charging pressure of the propulsion unit expressed in inches of mercury, the speed of the aircraft (TAS) in knots and the angle of attack, at which the flight is made, expressed in degrees. On the basis of the above-mentioned input signals, the rotation speed of the propeller was determined, by changing the blade pitch and the recommended angle of attack for the parameters in order to make an optimal use of the data of the flight conditions. The article presents the project of the controller and its optimization. The authors simulated the controller operation in the package MATLAB “Simulink”. The article ends with data analysis and final conclusions.

Opis:
Mobile ad hoc networks have consisted of the nodes which are freely displaced. In other words, this network has dynamic topology. Routing protocols find route of forwarding data packets from the source node to the destination node. A routing protocol plays important role in finding the shortest time and the route path. In this paper, considering significance of the subject, attempt has been made to present a model using fuzzy logic approach to evaluate and compare two routing protocols i.e. AODV DSDV using effective factor of the number of nodes based on 2 outputs of delay and throughput rate (totally fuzzy system with four outputs) in order to select one of these two routing protocols properly under different conditions and based on need and goal. To show efficiency and truth of fuzzy system, two protocols have been evaluated completely equally using NS-2 simulator and attempt has been made to prove efficiency of the designed fuzzy system by comparing results of simulation of fuzzy system and NS-2 software.

The article discusses the possibility of armour penetration by PGU 14 API shells fired from the GAU-8/A cannon. The considerations focus on questions with regard to the probability of armour penetration with the initially established conditions in the project. In the analysis, the authors took into account three parameters: armour thickness, armour slope and target distance. Based on the initial parameters, the authors estimated the probability of armour penetration. The designed a fuzzy expert system in the MATLAB software as well as conducting simulation of its performance in the Simulink programmes. The authors presented the performance of the system based on twenty samples for research, which simulate different thickness of the target armour, different distance from the target and different slope of the armour. The authors presented control surfaces, due to which it is possible to analyse the system performance. They also show the simulation process in the Simulink software package with the preset values. On the basis of the created controller, it is clear that a well-developed system, which had undergone testing and optimization, is capable of calculating near reality probability values. The designed system might improve fire effectiveness of ground targets during air training and combat tasks, as well as optimizing the consumption of air-to-ground armour piercing (AP) shells.

The article discusses the aerodynamic properties of the Guimbal Cabri G2 helicopter. The main considerations concern the helicopters ascending to the altitude under initial conditions, which were assumed in the project and how the change of the defuzzification method affects the work of the fuzzy controller. The authors analyzed the following: the aircraft, the crew and the payload. The authors assessed the altitude and the minimum time of the helicopter climb. In designing and the work simulation process, the authors used Matlab and Simulink software. A comparison of the influence of selected defuzzification methods on the work of the fuzzy controller was made.

W artykule omówione zostały możliwości aerodynamiczne śmigłowca Guimbal Cabri G2. Rozważania oscylują wokół pytania na jaką wysokość maszyna będzie w stanie się wznieść biorąc pod uwagę warunki początkowe założone w projekcie. Analizowano masę śmigłowca, masę członków załogi oraz masę bagażu zabieranego przez załogę. Oceniano wysokość i minimalny czas w jakim śmigłowiec będzie się wznosił. Zaprojektowany układ mógłby zostać wykorzystany w praktyce podczas lotów szkoleniowych, rekreacyjnych, wykonywania różnorakich zadań lotniczych oraz znacząco ułatwić proces przygotowania się do lotu załogi, w aspekcie możliwości szybkiej analizy obciążenia masowego śmigłowca. Zaprojektowano rozmyty system ekspercki w oprogramowaniu Matlab oraz przeprowadzono symulację jego działania w programie Simulink.
The article discusses the Guimbal Cabri G2 aerodynamic properties. The main question is what is helicopter rising altitude under initial conditions assumed in the project. The aircraft, crew and baggage weight analysis were the scope. The altitude and the minimum time in which the helicopter ascends were assessed. The designed project can be used in the wide spectrum of the air tasks. It will provide improvements during crew pre-flight preparations in terms of heli-copter weight capacity. Matlab and Simulink software was used in designing and work simulation process.

This paper analyses the management process of the vessel traffic control on one-way section on navigable canal with the adaptive time-sequential filter (traffic lights). One-way section on canal significantly decreases waterway capacity and requests special attention in control and regulation of the vessel traffic. The vessel traffic is a stochastic variable, and the vessel traffic control needs to be flexible and adaptive in order to achieve the required traffic flow with minimal delays. On the one-way section, two independent variable vessel flows from opposite directions are encountered, and fixed (predefined) signal plans lead to an increase in vessel delays. An appropriate solution is development of a Fuzzy Control System (FCS) for the vessel traffic control. A control algorithm is designed according to a set of linguistic rules that describes input parameters for the control strategy. The estimated and approximate input parameters are implemented in the algorithm as fuzzy sets. The final result of the developed algorithm is the traffic light scheme (duration of green light for certain direction). The presented control system can be used as an adaptive automatic control system for the vessel traffic control processes on navigable canals or on critical sections of other waterways.
