Opis:
The systemic transformation in Poland has revealed the range of inadequacy of the system and the quality of education to the requirements of the principles of market economy. The changing labor market needed a type of employees different from the earlier, socialist society. The principles of decentralization and demonopolization introduced at the beginning of the 1990s started changes in the system of education. At the same time they revealed an increase in Poles’ educational aspirations. Reformatory work that resulted in the 1999 reform of education were subjected to this. The reform is a continuous process. Its elements are gradually implemented, and are connected both with the structure and with the quality of education. The tasks of the reform also include making the children’s and youths’ educational chances equal as well as propagating the pro-family education of the society. The aim of the article is discussing the state of Polish education in the 1990s and of the causes and results (up till now) of the reform of the educational system. It shows problems in the educational policies and indicates both the necessity of undertaking reformatory measures and new areas and challenges within education of the young (and not only) generation.

The article presents tips on raising children published in journals in the nineteenth century. Their role was to educate parents. In many publications it was written literally, that parents, especially mothers, have no grounds for raising children. Therefore, the information contained in the texts related to educational culture, health behavior, moral education, the formation of character and mind. The authors marked that more parents should take care of the health aspects, namely to improve living conditions, hygiene of everyday life, as well as adopt attitudes and behaviors conducive to health. They urged the need of kneading in the children a strong will to prevent them in future from unexpected events and non-permanent fate. They drew attention to the need for mental development. It was believed that it is important not only what features will develop, but also what your child will learn. Knowledge should be presented as a boon, human dignity, which puts him on a higher level of existence. Particular attention is paid to the social upbringing, noting that the more there will be good people in the world, the more this will override good intentions and noble aspirations. The desire for happiness is the reason for care to be taken of the education of children.

Opis:
In Romanian society, family was one of the fundamental “institutions”, strongly supported by religious convictions, by tradition, stability and need of social safety. Inside a family man is educated from a religious point of view, he receives the model of behaviour he needs in society, he discovers the first social relations. Until today, these characteristics have been preserved in many families in Romania and they represent the foundation of a good training for young people for beautiful life, well anchored in the realities of the society. After the fall of communism in Romania at the end of 1989 and especially when the first manifestations of the globalization of secularization occurred, family was and still is confronted with new and unparalleled challenges. It has lost a lot of its value, since young people consider that they can live together without an engagement blessed by the Church and legislated by the state. Instead of assuming the responsibility of becoming a family, young people have now other priorities in life: career, their own happiness, social and economical fulfillment. These are the reasons why the average age of contracting a marriage is very high. The model of the monoparental family seems to be now in fashion, since more than 20% of children in Romania live in such a family. There is an increasing number of divorces, concubinages, abortions, people who neglect the education of their own children, of people who do not get married any more. Some of the members of Romanian families live and work abroad – the official number is 900,000 – and this situation has serious consequences upon family itself and especially upon the children who remain at home. All these realities have placed family, in the last 10 years, in the center of attention of all the institutions in Romania which have a social and educational impact. Churches especially engaged themselves in supporting family, in protecting it and rendering its value again. They hope that young people and members of present families will discover and assume the values of the most important institution of moral and social education.

The family is the place where the child comes into the world, where his basic needs are satisfied, both physiological and psychological. The family environment is the process of human education. Family performs many functions influencing the educational process, it can be seen as a system of interrelated parts, between which there are different relationships and interactions. A way to fulfill the educational function of the family and the consequent effects on child’s interactions depend largely on the attitudes of the father and the mother to the child. Giving one’s child the right to freedom of his age these days leaves a lot to be desired. An interesting, yet disturbing picture of childhood is drawn, the image of a generation overly controlled and supervised. We have had overweight children, myopia, children who are sick and suffering from overweight. Targeting children is based on imposing his own will or forcing a particular procedure, but is that the education we want? Therefore, in many publications, educational, sociological and psychological child development experts provide a restless, impatient parents the same advice: each child develops at a different pace. The early years are important, but do not take part in the race. Spend less time trying to improve a child by force, but rather try to get to know them. Believe your instincts, rather than imitate everything mom-alpha does on the playground. For centuries, children never chose their childhood. Tons of adults are always suitable. „This is never about children, says G. Rousseau, Oxford historian. – This is always the adults.” Nowadays, it seems that it is

There are numerous definitions of education. They are dependent on the concept of who human beings are and what their place in the world is as well as on the conditions of their existence, on what the communities expect of their members, and on what the society expects of an individual. The educational act carried out as part of the process of education can be defined as the actions aimed at altering the behavior of an individual at a particular point in time and in a particular situation. Within the family, bringing up a happy child is the purpose of all educational acts. Contemporary studies on childhood suggest that a happy childhood constitutes a stable foundation allowing for a positive functioning in society. It also increases the chances of adults to maintain the balance in which they were brought up.

Opis:
The issues related to the role of the family in the process of creating relationships with ill and disabled people are discussed in the article. All individuals posses concepts of the disabled that form their attitudes towards such people. The image of a disabled person is responsible for one’s attitude towards the handicapped. The family should create an environment where children observe and learn positive patterns of behaviour towards people with disabilities which, in turn, form the basis upon which children’s attitudes are shaped. The process of perception of other people is dependent on many factors – one of them is the family. The author draws attention to the issue of gender in disability. The term “disabled person” turns out to be gender neutral. Women with disabilities consider themselves to be treated as a “third sex”. The discrimination of disabled women results from a lack of sensitivity to the sex of the disabled. This points out the need to change the attitudes towards people with disabilities in early childhood as well as the necessity to pay more attention to the gender of disabled children. Sex becomes a matter which is forgotten, perhaps even becoming irrelevant. Women and their function are pushed into the background, which results in the gender-related stereotyping of their social roles, a more difficult way of career advancement (the so-called “glass ceiling effect”), lower wages for women working in the same positions as men, and the low participation of women in public life.

Aim. The main aim of the paper is to highlight the education of children in Roma families to practice their faith through Roma customs. The authors identify the practice of faith in Roma holidays which are baptism, sacrament of Eucharist and Confirmation, funeral. Methods. The authors use the literary-descriptive method which they use for analytical-synthetic gathering of professional and scientific knowledge. They overlap these with the practical field empirical experience of the authors dealing with the issue. Results. The Roma family is a patriarchal constitution ensuring the transmission of the cultural and customary heritage of the Roma. Through education by imitation, children learn through the customs and habits of their relatives to observe and practice the faith, thus ensuring the continuation of the family line in a living faith. Conclusion. The Roma have adopted majority Christianity in Slovakia as their own. However, Roma groups retain their customs and rituals, which they have incorporated into their religion and practice of faith. For the Roma, religion and its association with customs and traditions is a connection to God. Therefore, these rituals need to be observed in order to be handed down to the next generation.

Zachodzące współcześnie przemiany życia rodzinnego (m.in. procesy indywidualizacji, detradycjonalizacji, pluralizacji) w istotny sposób zmieniają rodzinę jako wspólnotę wychowawczą. Poszukiwanie i wskazywanie takich wzorców, modeli życia rodzinnego, które w istotny sposób ułatwiają wychowanie osób wrażliwych i otwartych na drugiego człowieka i jego potrzeby wydaje się działaniem koniecznym.
The most natural environment for humans is family as a community of people connected by the relationship of marriage and/or parenthood. Family is a universal environment for all generations in which everyone can find their place. One of the primary functions of family is education, which assists one in growing in a particular society. The fundamental principle that underlies family life is mutual love, understood as care for the common good and, at the same time, the good of every person participating in the life of this group. The community is formed for the sake of the well-being of people and has a value in itself as a phenomenon of individual mutual interpersonal relationships, the ones coming “from the heart”. Family, as a community of people, is one of the most conducive environments for life and education. The contemporary changes in family life (including processes of individualisation, detraditionalisation, pluralisation) significantly change family as an educational community. Seeking and indicating such patterns, family life models, which significantly facilitate the upbringing of the people who are vulnerable and open to other people and their needs seems to be a necessary action to be undertaken.

The interviews have shown that for the respondents the educational function of smartphone are not significant, although they see them.

In Prussia the turn of the 20th century brought about enormous civilization progress which was accompanied by an improvement in the standards of living. This process had already taken place in the German Reich and was followed by political, social and economic changes which affected women as well. Most importantly, at that time they gradually won more educational rights. Until the 19th century women’s educational attainment was limited to primary education and home schooling by governesses. Subsequently, girls were admitted to secondary schools for girls and eventually they were granted the right to sit high school final examinations and access tertiary education. Since mid-19th century women were allowed to join political organizations and after World War I they acquired political rights. Although much depended on a person’s individual disposition and personality, the middle-class mentality of the time was considerably patriarchal, hence equal rights in real interpersonal relationships became a fact only in the 20th century. Contrary to popular misconceptions, working women were commonplace already in the 19th century; unfortunately, as a rule the reason for women’s work was poverty, while attractive professions requiring high qualifications remained unavailable to women. The first changes consisted in allowing women into the teaching profession on graduating from teacher training colleges and then allowing them into the medical and legal colleges and professions. As a consequence of a dramatic decrease in the rate of infant and child mortality, women ceased to be ‘birth machines’, as they had been perceived until then, and instead of giving birth to six or eight children, they had two or three, which had a dramatic impact on their living conditions and opened new life perspectives for them.
