Opis:
E-learning has become a challenge for many universities worldwide, which during the pandemic had to switch overnight from offline to online learning and meet the expectations of students for whom this form of education was often alien. The aim of the paper is to present how students from two different countries, Spain and Poland, perceived e-learning during the pandemic, what factors, in their opinion, influenced their satisfaction with this form of education, which of them decreased it; and what are the similarities and differences in their opinion. In order to get to know their opinions, an online survey was conducted with students at the University of Manresa (Spain), and telephone interviews with students of the Warsaw University of Technology Business School. A comparative analysis of the obtained results was then performed to determine the similarities and differences in the satisfaction with e-learning between the Spanish and Polish students. The study shows that the main factors satisfying both groups of students are the possibility to use digital didactic materials, the quality of e-learning platforms, the organisation of e-learning, and the support provided by universities and lecturers. The most significant differences were visible in the perception of online classes, the formula for completing the course, and the didactic activities for students. The research results lead to the conclusion that despite the cultural differences and different teaching systems, the factors satisfying students with e-learning in the two countries were in fact quite similar.

The foundation and development of the Information Society set new tasks before universities, particularly technical schools all over the world. Since the knowledge of computer science doubles approximately every three years, there is a necessity for IT specialists of a constant self-education. Following the changes is possible only using electronic tools and information stored in the Internet. The fact is that a lot of universities do not pay enough attention to get their students into the habit of using e-learning tools every day. Since higher education needs to be effective and efficient, it is indispensable to use distance learning tools to support both stationary and constant learning. This paper presents the comparative research of the level of the application of the elearning tools, conducted among the students of computer science of the Academy of Humanities and Economics in Lodz.

Opis:
The scope of the paper is to investigate whether e-learning is a good alternative to achieve business ethics teaching goals in the challenging context of disembedded economies. To achieve this goal, I used various interdisciplinary methods and approaches, content analysis of the relevant literature, and a case study. Firstly, I focus on the current challenges of business ethics teaching. Then, based on my experience of teaching business ethics in various forms, I distinguish the methods applied within them and evaluate them, taking as criteria the cognitive, applicative, and reflective goals of teaching business ethics. Models and theories of educational psychology provide a framework to distinguish some elements that are responsible for the learning success of the student in terms of the defined teaching goal. Empirical results show that although e-learning scored best when it comes to achieving three differentiated goals of business ethics teaching, it is followed closely by seminars. This leads to the conclusion that perhaps a hybrid form, containing e-learning and seminars, would be the optimal way to achieve the goals.

The subject of this article contains selected methods of optimization of educational work using selected computer tools, such as e-learning. The use of information technologies is a common feature of teaching methods, which include e-learning. Through a distance learning, teaching and learning process became accessible from anywhere, at any age and time. Virtual contact between the teacher and the student is in many cases far more convenient for both of them. Training and e-learning courses are very popular. They are carried out not only in school or academic environment but also in the business one. Distance education is used as a tool to support learning process, and its use may allow easy management of materials, allowing to create flexible educational methods.

E-learning is a widely used form of education. There are various kinds of e-learning both from the implementing institutions’ as well as from the learners’ point of view. As the learners are of different professions and educations, e-learning requires an individual approach for each users’ population. The effectiveness of e-learning has been researched, measured and proved as beneficial as other forms of learning, although the problem of readiness for learning activities which would employ modern means of education was not as high. The article presents outcomes of a research made among the group of social service workers in terms of their abilities to undertake e-learning education

Language competencies are increasingly important in our globalised world. Global usage of a language enhances global understanding. A shared language should be a bridge between cultures, a bridge that connects speakers and allows people to share cultural values, diverse views and knowledge. Especially in multicultural education language plays very important role, because in this school or university process all students are prepared for their roles and responsibilities in an interdependent world. It places students at the centre of all school and university practices that promote multi-perspectives and an appreciation of cultural and linguistic diversity within society. Then the school or university community contributes to cultural and linguistic diversity. Schools and universities assist all students to develop the understanding, knowledge and skills to contribute to, and benefit from the diversity that characterizes our globalised world. Language especially plays a crucial role in the establishment and preservation of national and group identity. E-learning programs used at schools as well as universities has globalized students more than any other media.
