IT systems are seen as invaluable support to financial and accounting specialists, however, many enterprises are unable to use their analytical potential. The paper validates a positive contribution of the systems to the effectiveness of management control in small and medium-sized companies. The research included 129 Polish SMEs. Even though IT systems of ERP and BI classes were not commonly available (they were used by 18.6% of SMEs), it was observed that financial and management accounting received adequate IT support (in 58.1% of cases). Furthermore, sales and customer service were seen as domains were ITS contributed the most to the business. Finally of 51 SMEs which had no access to advanced software, only 7 found that situation negative.

Podstawowy cel artykułu to zwrócenie uwagi na zagadnienie ryzyka w działalności podmiotów sektora finansów publicznych z podkreśleniem jego specyfiki. Na bazie tak sformułowanego problemu w dalszej części artykułu przedstawiono koncepcje zintegrowanego systemu kontroli w tych podmiotach jako nowoczesnego narzędzia zarządzania publicznego, co wynika z przyjętych regulacji prawnych i dostosowania do dynamiki zmian wynikających z otoczenia.
The basic objective of the article is to draw attention to the issue of risk in the activities of public finance sector entities, underlining its specificity. On the basis of the problem formulated in this article, the concepts of an integrated control system in these entities are presented as a modern public management tool, which results from the adopted legal regulations and adaptation to the dynamics of changes resulting from the environment.

The paper presents design, structure and architecture of the Universal Autonomous Control and Management System (UACAMS) for multipurpose unmanned surface vessel. The system was designed, installed and implemented on the multipurpose platform - unmanned surface vessel named HydroDron. The platform is designed to execute hydrographic survey missions with multi-variant configuration of the survey system (payload? ) including multi-beam echo sounder, sonar, LiDAR, automotive radar, photographic and spectral camera systems. The UACAMS designed to provide flexibility that enables to operate on the different kind of surface platform and different type of functional payload. The full system configuration provides all four level of autonomy starting from remotely controlled to full autonomous mission. Each level can be implemented and run depending on user specific requirements. The paper explains the differences between autonomous and automatic mission and shows how the autonomy is implemented into the presented system. The full hardware structural design as well as the software architecture are described. In order to confirm initial assumptions the applied system was tested during four- week sea trials and tuned for a selected vessel to confirm assumptions. In the project, also the original shore control station was designed, produced and tested for the vessel, including specific user controls and radio communication system. Conclusions sum up all crucial points of the design and system implementation process.

Opis:
On the present there is very intensively emphasized the environmental protection, which is also connected with reduction of emissions produced by the vehicles. The actual European emission standard EURO 6 will be replaced very soon with the new and even stricter standard EURO 7. There is a well-known fact that the new regulations are demanding with regard to the NOX emissions. However, there is at disposal a suitable technical solution, namely in the form of an innovative engine technology, which is called the HCCI. A principle of this technology consists in a self-ignition of the homogenous air-fuel mixture using the compression process. Combustion of the mixture is performed in the whole compression volume without a spark ignition, whereby the NOX emission level is almost negligible. However, this technology is also characterised by several serious problems, for example there is occurring a complication concerning control of the self-ignition phenomenon. The presented article introduces an original diagnostic system, which enables to control the whole self-ignition system and in this way to ensure a reliable operation of the HCCI engine. This system is patented now as well as it was tested in an experimental vehicle built for the international competition “shell eco marathon”.

Artykuł przedstawia informacje na temat działalności Koordynatora Służb Specjalnych w Polsce, w szczególności zadania szczegółowe, zadania w zakresie nadzoru, zadania w zakresie kontroli, zadania w zakresie koordynacji oraz uprawnienia. W dalszej kolejności zostaną przedstawione informacje na temat uprawnień i zadań wykonywanych przez poszczególne służby specjalne: Agencję Bezpieczeń-stwa Wewnętrznego, Agencję Wywiadu, Służbę Kontrwywiadu Wojskowego, Służbę Wywiadu Wojskowego oraz Centralne Biuro Antykorupcyjne. Na zakończenie przedstawione zostaną wnioski dotyczące obowiązującego schematu współdziałania i nadzoru Koordynatora Służb Specjalnych nad działalnością poszczególnych służb specjalnych. W artykule zostały wykorzystane jedynie obowiązujące przepisy prawne, na podstawie których działa Koordynator oraz poszczególne służby specjalne, ponieważ 18 listopada 2015 r. nastąpiła istotna zmiana w obszarze nadzoru nad służbami specjalnymi i nie ma na ten temat aktualnej literatury.
Article presents informations about activity of coordinator of special service in Poland, particularly, detailed tasks, tasks in range of oversight, tasks in range of control, tasks in range of coordination and entitlement execute. Informations will be presented in (to) far sequence about entitlement and they execute by individual special services: Agency of Internal Safety, Agency of Interview, Service of Counter- Interview Military, Service of Interview Military and Central Anticorruption Office. Conclusions will be presented on completion concerning obligatory scheme cooperation and over activity of individual special service oversight of coordinator of special service. Obligatory legal regulations have been taken advantage in article on which (who) bases of guns coordinator only and individual special services as important change has followed (has stepped) in area of oversight of special services 18 November 2015 year and does not have on this theme of current literature.

The internal audit every organ of public administration and in the private sector – can help an organization in achieving its goals. It is reasonable to give leadership to ensure the achievement of these goals. It does not guarantee, however, to achieve these objectives. Working in the public administration body or a private company, the internal audit system may not always be ensured reliability of financial statements and compliance with the law, although it certainly minimizes the risk in this regard. Internal audit, together with the control system helps any organization in achieving its objectives by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and corporate governance.
Audyt wewnętrzny widoczny w administracji publicznej, a także w sektorze prywatnym − może pomóc organizacji w osiągnięciu jej celów. Niezwykle ważne w tym zakresie jest odpowiedzialne podejście zarządzających zmierzające do osiągnięcia zaplanowanych celów. Nie gwarantuje to jednak osiągnięcia tych celów. Pracując w organach administracji publicznej lub w prywatnych firmach, system audytu wewnętrznego nie zawsze zapewnia całkowitą wiarygodność sprawozdań finansowych i zgodność z prawem, chociaż z pewnością minimalizuje ryzyko w tym zakresie. Audyt wewnętrzny wraz z funkcjonującym systemem kontroli zarządczej pomaga każdej organizacji w osiąganiu swoich celów poprzez systematyczne i zdyscyplinowane podejście do oceny i poprawy skuteczności zarządzania ryzykiem, kontroli i ładu korporacyjnego.

The article is a comparative media system study. It presents the main characteristics, evolution and models of management and control of public service and state media systems in different countries – China, Japan, Marocco, Republic of South Africa, Chile and Austria. The goal is to fi nd similarities between the public service/ state media and political systems. The classifi cation of public service media systems described in the article is based on conceptual framework defi ned by D.C. Hallin and P. Mancini.

Działalność w warunkach ryzyka kredytowego zajmuje specjalne miejsce w funkcjonowaniu każdego banku. Nie sposób wyobrazić sobie funkcjonowania banku na rynku usług finansowych bez jego stabilnego rozwoju. Ponadto zdolność kredytowa i związane z nią ograniczenie ryzyka kredytowego muszą być oparte na zasadzie zaufania. Podważenie tej zasady oraz jej nieprzestrzeganie z łatwością może doprowadzić do zwiększenia ryzyka kredytowego, a tym samym grozić destabilizacją całego systemu bankowego i poszczególnych banków.Celem właściwego zarządzania ryzykiem kredytowym jest jego identyfikacja, pomiar, sterowanie i monitorowanie. Bank, który posiada wdrożone systemy zarządzania ryzykiem, prezentuje wyższą wartość dla akcjonariuszy.
The activity in conditions of credit risk has a specific place in each banks’ performance. There is no way of imagining bank’s functioning on financial services market without its stable development. Moreover, credit capacity and, related with it, credit risk mitigation must be based on trust. The questioning of this principle and its non-compliance may easily lead to credit risk increase and consequently to threat of the whole system and separate banks destabilization. The aim of proper credit risk management is to identify, measure, control and monitor. A bank, which has risk management systems implemented, presents higher value for the stockholders.

Background and purpose: The purpose of this paper is to identify the relationship between autocratic management style and employee trust. Furthermore, the article aims to explore the correlation between autocratic management style and employee turnover. Design/Materials and research methods: The theoretical part of the paper presents the essence of the autocratic management style and describes the importance of trust in organizations. The study was conducted using the case study method with respect to a selected company specializing in the production and sale of confectionery products, which has a high rate of employee turnover. Results: The paper presents the results of the study on the manager’s preferred management style and the results of an employee survey assessing, among other things, the level of trust and control in the relationship with the owner. Practical implications: This study was conducted to highlight the relationship between management style and the existing level of employee trust in the owner. Conclusion and summary: The conclusions drawn from the study highlighted the existing relationship between the management style used by the manager and the level of trust and control, which consequently translate into high employee turnover.
Cel: Celem artykułu jest rozpoznanie relacji pomiędzy autokratycznym stylem zarządzania a zaufaniem pracowników. Ponadto artykuł ma na celu poznanie związku pomiędzy autokratycznym stylem zarządzania a fluktuacją pracowników. Materiały i metody badawcze: W części teoretycznej artykułu zaprezentowano istotę autokratycznego stylu zarządzania, a także opisano znaczenie zaufania w organizacjach. W przeprowadzonym badaniu zastosowano metodę case study, w wybranej firmie specjalizującej się w produkcji i sprzedaży wyrobów cukierniczych, która charakteryzuje się wysokim wskaźnikiem rotacji pracowników. Wyniki: Przedstawiono wyniki badania dotyczącego preferowanego stylu zarządzania przez menedżera oraz wyniki badania ankietowego przeprowadzonego wśród pracowników oceniające m.in. poziom zaufania i kontroli w relacji z właścicielem. Wnioski praktyczne: Badanie to przeprowadzono w celu zwrócenia uwagi na zależność pomiędzy stylem zarządzania a istniejącym poziomem zaufania pracowników do osoby właściciela. Wnioski i podsumowanie: Wnioski wyciągnięte z badania pozwoliły na zwrócenie uwagi na istniejącą relację pomiędzy stosowanym stylem zarządzania menedżera a poziomem zaufania i kontroli, które w konsekwencji przekładają się na dużą fluktuację pracowników.

With the rising awareness of the adverse effects of chemical pesticides, people are looking for organically grown vegetables. Consumers are increasingly choosing organic foods due to the perception that they are healthier than those conventionally grown. Vegetable crops are vulnerable to a range of pathogenic organisms that reduce yield by killing the plant or damaging the product, thus making it unmarketable. Soil-borne diseases are among the major factors contributing to low yields of organic produce. Apart from chemical pesticides there are several methods that can be used to protect crops from soil-borne pathogens. These include the introduction of biocontrol agents against soil-borne plant pathogens, plants with therapeutic effects and organic soil amendments that stimulate antagonistic activities of microorganisms to soil-borne diseases. The decomposition of organic matter in soil also results in the accumulation of specific compounds that may be antifungal or nematicidal. With the growing interest in organic vegetables, it is necessary to find non chemical means of plant disease control. This review describes the impact of soil-borne diseases on organic vegetables and methods used for their control.

The study analysed two areas involving two different SC links associated with order picking, and outsourced truck freights, respectively. The studied company had problems with these links. An approach based on developing a KPI (Key Performance Indicator) was proposed to address the issues. Consequently, different affected processes were analysed and characterised, considering the relevant data for defining a KPI. Then, strategies and methods were devised for data collection and processing regarding the system’s current state. Finally, tools were designed to facilitate the interpretation of the system’s current state and thus, pave the way for the decision-making process on corrective measures.
