    Włączenie zasobów i aktywności online do sylabusa tradycyjnego kursu akademickiego wymaga restrukturyzacji programu nauczania w celu osiągnięcia efektu synergii. Rozwój technologii internetowych umożliwił edukatorom przejście od czysto instruktywistycznych praktyk dydaktycznych do zajęć opartych na ideach konstruktywistycznych i konstrukcjonistycznych. Dzięki zmianie paradygmatu nauczanie i uczenie się jest bardziej ukierunkowane na studenta. Większą rolę zaczynają odgrywać interakcja, praca zespołowa i autentyczny kontekst edukacyjny wynikający z kształcenia wykorzystującego materiały autentyczne używane w czasie wykonywania autentycznych zadań kształtujących autentyczne kompetencje potrzebne do osiągnięcia sukcesu w autentycznym środowisku pracy. W artykule przedstawiono część rezultatów badań nad rozwojem umiejętności użycia języka angielskiego specjalistycznego u studentów Uniwersytetu Medycznego w Poznaniu i Politechniki Gdańskiej. Celem zaprezentowanej fazy było określenie korelacji pomiędzy rozwojem poszczególnych umiejętności językowych, a autentycznym kontekstem, w jakim były one kształcone.
    Incorporating online resources and activities into a university course curriculum involves restructuring the whole teaching programme to achieve a synergistic effect. The development of web technologies has enabled educators to move from instructivism towards constructivism and constructionism, i.e., towards interactive, collaborative, and student-centred learning in an authentic context structured around the ideas of text authenticity, competence authenticity, learner authenticity, and classroom authenticity. This viewpoint is supported by the research into ESP skills that has been conducted at Poznan University of Medical Sciences and Gdańsk University of Technology. This phase has aimed to investigate correlations between authenticity and an increase in particular language skills.

    The aim of the article is to present the concept and research on the development of autobiographical narrative in the course of a person’s life. Reference was made to basic concepts important for the analysis of the topic: the definition of narrative, constructionist assumptions, understanding the process of creating self-narrative and the definition of autobiographical narrative. The considerations also include the issue of autobiographical memory and the discussion on understanding autobiographical narrative as monolithic vs. polyphonic. The following subchapters discuss the predispositions and development of early narrative competences, the beginnings of constructing an autobiographical narrative, the mechanisms of shaping and changing the autobiographical narrative in adulthood, including the characteristic features of self-narratives in late adulthood. The review of research presented in the article documents the mechanisms of shaping the autobiographical narrative, the directions of its changes in the life course and selected relationships important for understanding the process of these changes (e.g. the issue of increasing the ability to reflect biographically with age, fulfilling the need for generativity, the effect of intentionally minimizing unpleasant feelings in senior age, the concept of gerotranscendence, etc.). The article ends with reflections on the importance of constructing an autobiographical narrative in the modern world, the availability of autobiographical reflection and its meaning-creating value.

    This paper presents some of the critical stages in the evolution of the concept of wilderness in American thought and its revisions. First, it shows the transformation of the idea of wilderness in American culture from something to be feared, to something to be conquered, to something to be cherished by modern environmentalism and demonstrates how nature discourse may perpetuate dualistic relations with wilderness. Than it analyzes some criticisms and responses to the traditional idea of wilderness known as the great new wilderness debate and attempts to put the concept of wilderness not only into American but also a more global perspective.

    The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the focus of education on creativity achieved by the use of coding (“code to learn”), in view of modern pedagogical theories. Social interactions between young creators are an important factor. The paper describes an initial stage of the research on the phenomenon of the remix of simple computer games created by the community of users in the Scratch environment. It presents selected problems of young creators connected to sharing their own work with other community members: authorship acknowledgement, formal acknowledgement for the first author placed on derived products (games), reactions of the first author to the creative development of their ideas or influence of school grades on the will to share the project. There will be further research on the achievements of the same group of students aged 15 to 16 after a series of lessons concerning creating computer games in the Scratch environment.

    The article analyzes the objectivist approach of Merton and the constructionist approach of Spector and Kitsuse in the context of the study of sexual abuse of children in Poland as a social problem. Based on this analysis, it is recommended to use primarily a modernist constructional approach.

    The presented article attempts to describe the local, regional and national brand in the terms of an image. The analysis is based on the assumption that an images are a significant interpretative framework of defining national and local brand. Reffering to the Walter Lippman’s concept of a “pictures in our heads” we try to drift away from the tradition of thinking about a local and national brand and open new way of its interpretation. The applied approach allows to define local/national brand as a) a mental image, something imagined, allegorical image of a city, country, product, which is created by the people (a social actors), which is shared, identified and longstanding and as b) a construct having a material strand. Based on gathered empirical materials the Authors describes the process of social creation of a local and national brand as well as distinguishes four main types of local brands/images: imposed images, long duration images, images for selling and brand mind map images.

    While teacher feedback has got a long established tradition in pedagogic or educational discourse as a form of reflection, it has to be noticed by students to result in raised awareness. Apprehension of teacher feedback depends on its various characteristics such as salience, length, complexity or linguistic features (Swain, 2006a). Thereby its value may be too much engrained in the positivist paradigm of knowledge and language. Sociocultural approaches to learning, resting firmly on constructivist theories of knowledge and interactive theories of language, underscore the centrality of the learner. The agency of the learner places reflection in the form of talks (Moate, 2011) or languaging (Swan, 2006a). The aim of this paper is to present a microgenetic analysis of languaging on the concept of “noticing” (Schmidt, 1990) in teacher training during a methodology class. The working hypothesis is the claim that reflection, in the form of substantiated thinking, presents a potential for developing procedural dimension of teacher language awareness.

    Celem artykułu jest analiza porównawcza form zachowań wobec mediów i nowych technologii oraz zmian zachowań społecznych pod ich wpływem na przykładzie kolejnych pokoleń medialnych, w świetle literatury przedmiotu. W procesie badawczym przyjęto za Marshallem McLuhanem tezę, iż poszczególne media i technologie były i są jednym z istotnych czynników kształtujących zachowania społeczne młodego pokolenia. Równocześnie odbiorcy/użytkownicy modelują nowe formy zachowań wobec mediów i technologii. Po wstępnych rozważaniach teoretycznych (konstruktywizm, determinizm technologiczny) dokonano analizy porównawczej oraz syntetyczno-opisowej zmian zachowań społecznych odbiorców/użytkowników mediów i nowych technologii w obszarze: użytkowania, dostępu materialnego, postrzegania oraz relacji międzyludzkich. W wyniku tej analizy teza została potwierdzona.
    The aim of the article is a comparative analysis of forms of behaviour in relation to the media and new technology, as well as changes of social behaviour influenced by these and exemplified in subsequent media generations, in the light of literature on the subject. The thesis, accepted after Marshall McLuhan in the research procedure, is that particular media and technology were and are one of the essential elements forming the social behaviour of the younger generation. At the same time, the recipients/users model new forms of behaviour in relation to the media and technology. After initial theoretical considerations (constructionism, technological determinism), a comparative and synthetic descriptive analysis was carried out regarding the changes of the social behaviour of recipients/users of the media and new technology in the sphere of: usage, material access, perception and interpersonal relations. As a result of the analysis the thesis was confirmed.

    This article is theoretically grounded in a reflection on the discursive-material knot, which uses a macro-(con)textual approach to discourse, but also allocates a non-hierarchical position to the material, recognizing its agency. The article uses the ontological model to further theorize the discursive-material struggles of, and over, nature, and in particular of non-human animals. These theoretical frameworks are then deployed to reflect on the “Silencing/Unsilencing Nature” project (and its diverse subprojects). This is an arts-based research project which aims to unpack the discursive-material relationship between humans and nature, and how nature often has been silenced, focusing on the position of the wolf in the zoo assemblage, and how these animals are discursively and materially entrapped. At the same time, the “Silencing/Unsilencing Nature” project investigates how this situation can be changed, and how their voices can still be made audible, gain more strength and become further unsilenced.

    W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono ujęcie instytucji w świetle rozważań ordoliberalnych ekonomistów – Euckena W. i Erharda L. – o konkurencyjnym porządku gospodarczym. Konsekwencji i spójności posunięć z zakresu polityki gospodarczej przeciwstawiane są błędy wynikające z dyskrecjonalnego uprawiania polityki gospodarczej, które skutkują utratą całościowego spojrzenia na gospodarkę. Transformacja ujmowana w świetle potrzeby szybszego tempa zmian nie może być oderwana od silnego wpływu państwa na kształtowanie ładu gospodarczego, stąd skazana jest ona na konstruktywizm jako na podejście najbardziej możliwe choć wysoce niedoskonałe.
    The paper presents an approach to institutions elaborated by ordoliberal economists Eucken W. and Erhard L. based on the notion of competitive economic order. The consequence and coherence was there opposed to discrepancy of economic policy inducing fallacies and loss of wholeness when glancing at the economy. Therefore, the economic transformation ought not to be detached form the influence of the state in terms of constructing socio-economic order, and is thus inevitably built on constructionism as an approach highly imperfect though the most possible.

    Prowadząc badania polityki publicznej w Polsce, powinno się nawiązywać do pojęć, kategorii analitycznych oraz teorii, które zaproponowano już w tym obszarze badawczym. Artykuł ma na celu przedstawienie przeglądu rozwoju teorii polityki publicznej w dłuższym okresie. Jako pierwsze zostały przedstawione podejścia typologiczne i stadialne. Teorie polityki publicznej zostały omówione jako dwa szersze zbiory przy uwzględnieniu podziału na paradygmaty – racjonalny oraz interpretatywny. Szczegółowo przedstawiono zastosowanie pierwszego z nich do zagadnienia definiowania wyboru rozwiązań problemów publicznych. Paradygmat interpretatywny opisano głównie w powiązaniu z argumentatywnym zwrotem oraz próbą połączenia podejścia racjonalistycznego i interpretatywnego w perspektywie racjonalnej dyskusji. Przegląd kończy przedstawienie kilku prób uporządkowania pola badawczego nauki o polityce publicznej za pomocą określenia listy pytań badawczych, obszarów badań, ram teoretyczno-metodologicznych oraz archetypów działalności analityków polityki publicznej.
    The examination of public policy in Poland should refer to the terms, analytical categories as well as theories, which have already been postulated in this research field. The article aims to present an overview of the development of public policy theories in the long run. To begin with, the typological and stages approaches were presented. The theories of public policy were presented as two broader classes based on the differentiation into rational and interpretative paradigms. The application of the first one was examined in greater detail in the area of defining the choices of the ways to address public issues. The interpretative paradigm was presented mainly in connection with the argumentative approach as well as an attempt to combine the rational and interpretative approaches in the context of a rational discussion. The overview ends with the presentation of a few ways of organising the public policy research field through the research questions, the research areas, the theoretical-methodological framework as well as the archetypes of the public policy analysts’ activity.
