Opis:
InWO3 -TiO2 nanocomposite material was synthesised by co-precipitation method and sonication technique. The synthesized nanomaterial was characterized by FE-SEM with EDX, HR-TEM, XRD, FT-RAMAN, AFM and BET surface area measurements. The photocatalytic activity of InWO3-TiO2 nanocomposite material was studied from the photodegradation of malachite green (MAG) under UV-light irradiation. The photodegradation of MAG at various parameters are reported. The Photodegradation was found to follow the pseudo-first-order kinetics. The Hydroxyl radical formation in the mechanism was confirmed by fluorescence quenching technique. The antimicrobial activity of the prepared nanomaterials has also been investigated. Cyclic voltammeter (CV)) measurements analysis of the prepared nonamaterial was discussed in detail. It was proposed that the catalyst was found to be stable and reusable.

The synthesis of a novel xanthene derivatives bearing dimedone as an excellent precursor has been achieved by applying one pot three component Hantzsch type condensation. The newly synthesized compounds were characterized by spectral and elemental analyses. All synthesized compounds undergo docking studies and biological screening for antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria and fungal species. Among all the tested compounds, it was found that compound 3c, 3d, 3g and 3h revealed better activities against the Gram-positive rather than the Gram-negative bacteria whereas results of docking studies revealed that compounds 3b, 3g and 3i showed best binding affinity towards ATP binding pocket of Human PIM1 kinase receptor through steric favorable and H-bond interactions.

Opis:
In the present study to evaluate the antimicrobial activity of Terminalia arjuna (Roxb.) Wight & Arn barks. Many of the plant materials, from which natural dyes are obtained, found to have some medicinal values. During the present study, dying materials were prepared from barks of Terminalia arjuna. The well diffusion method was adopted to examine antimicrobial activity of dying material against test organisms. The result showed that the dying material of Terminalia arjuna was most active for antibacterial (8 mm) and antifungal (7 mm). Results of the present study suggest that the dying material of Terminalia arjuna has significant antibacterial activity against pathogenic bacteria and fungus.

Opis:
Finding healing power in plants is an ancient idea, and people of all continents and civilization have been using plants in one form or the other for poultices or as decoctions. Alangium salvifolium (Linn), family Alangeaceae, is a tree that grows in the wild throughout India. The plant has been used in the Indian traditional system of medicine for skin diseases (e.g. leucoderma), articular diseases, and anti-inflammation, anti-poisonous, anti-pyretic, and anti-emetic requirements. However, no scientific evidence is available regarding its antimicrobial activity. An investigation of Alangium salvifolium as an antimicrobial activity agent is the objective of our present study. The ATCC culture used in this study was collected from department of Microbiology, G.M.C., Bhopal (M.P.). Shade dried crude powder (200 grams) of seed of Alangium salvifolium was separately extracted with methanol in a soxhelt apparatus. The Antimicrobial activities were then studied by applying the Disc–Diffusion method. Our results indicate that the observed antimicrobial activity of the fraction appears to be due to unknown secondary metabolites in it. H.P.L.C. (high performance liquid chromatography) and chemical studies may, thus be useful in analyzing the presence of unknown secondary metabolites in the fractions.

Opis:
In this research antimicrobial activity of nanoparticles ZnO on perilous bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa was evaluated. P. aeruginosa is important pathogen that caused burn wound infections as it is multi-drug resistant and has several virulence factors. Fifteen samples of P. aeruginosa were collected from patients who suffering from Burn infections in Al-Hilla teaching hospital burn unit with the age range between (7-80) years old for both genders. After collecting burn samples, the diagnosis and characterization were performed by culturing and biochemical tests. ZnO NPs were synthesized by chemical method, Zinc oxide nanoparticles are well-known to be one of the multifunctional inorganic compounds which are widely used in medical applications. This study aims to prepare ZnO nanoparticles with particle size ranging from 23-29  nm. In the present study, surface modification of ZnO nanoparticles was performed, and influence of modification of the structure and morphological properties was investigated. The resulting nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force (AFM). Zinc oxide nanoparticles with the average diameter of about 29 nm were modified with an oleic acid to exert more compatibility. From the results obtained it is suggested that modified ZnO-nanoparticles could be used effectively in safety environmental and medical applications. Antibacterial activity for nanoparticle ZnO against P. aeruginosa isolates was measured by: Agar Diffusion Technique and Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC)/Minimum bactericidal Concentration (MBC) with microdilution. The best zone of inhibition was (35.5mm) at a concentration of 40 μg/ml of nano-ZnO in one strain of P. aeruginosa while the lowest inhibition zone was (16 mm) at a concentration of 20 μg/ml of nano ZnO in one strain also. In addition, all P. aeruginosa isolates were completely inhibited at the concentration of 3.7 μg/ml of nano-ZnO (MIC) but no significant antibacterial activity was observed at concentrations less than 1.8 μg/ml of nano-ZnO and the (MBC) was same as MIC (3.7 μg/ml) for all P.aeruginosa isolates.

About more than 85% yields of some aryl sulphonamides were synthesised by sodium acetate catalysed ultrasonication promoted condensation of aryl amines and benzene sulfonyl chlorides in room temperature. The synthesised sulfonamides were analysed with their physical constants, micro analysis and spectral techniques. The antioxidant potential of these sulfonamides were assessed by DPPH radical scavenging activity measurement using L-ascorbic acid as a standard. Antimicrobial activities of these sulfonamides have been assessed by disc diffusion method against their antimicrobial stains. Most of the sulfonamides shows antimicrobial activity. Many of the hydroxy and methoxy substituted sulfonamides showed significant antioxidant activity.
