    This article presents the outcomes of the research conducted among teachers which main aim was the answer to the question about using information-communication technologies in the teaching process. Pursuant to them, it was stated that the degree of the use of modern technologies in the field of widely known school education is not satisfactory. However, the majority of respondents notice the necessity of functioning schools in digital sphere. The methods of work demand constant adopting to the changing environment, utilizing available resources in a creative way. The ubiquity of information-communication technologies imposes their consideration on successive generations as well as paying attention to skilful usage of contents conveyed through the agency of it. An educationalist aware of his role, should discern both negative and positive aspects of introducing modern technologies in the educational process, remembering that their skilful usage may contribute to the optimization of the learning process.

    Opis:
    About one billion people around the world move abroad or outside their birthplace seeking better earning possibilities. Economic migration has been accepted by many families as a strategy aiming improvement of their functioning. In a long-term prospect it affects the family’s well-being among others through investing in education and health. The mobility of one or several family members colours the leaving and those who remain at home both in positive and negative way depending individual conditions. Although postal orders are potentially an important way to mitigate the limits of the family budget, the weakest family members who need attention, repeatedly bear high cost of migration decisions. The individualistic effect of the economic migration of the Poles for functioning of their families is migrational orpanhood of the children and older people which is the main theme of intellectualizing in the present article. Special attention should be drawn to people in grand old age whose proportion in our country is still rising. In the context of relevant issues, it is necessary to take steps aiming to mitigate the costs of migration born by families, offering support recouping the losses coming from the mobility.
    Około miliarda ludzi na całym świecie przemieszcza się poza kraj lub obręb urodzenia w poszukiwaniu lepszych możliwości zarobkowania. Migracja ekonomiczna, przez wiele rodzin została przyjęta jako strategia mająca na celu poprawę jej funkcjonowania. W perspektywie długoterminowej wpływa na dobrostan członków gospodarstwa domowego m.in. poprzez inwestycje w edukację i zdrowie. Mobilność jednego bądź kilku osób z grona rodzinnego rzutuje na wyjeżdżających i tych, którzy pozostają w miejscu pierwotnego zamieszkania, zarówno w sposób pozytywny jak i negatywny, w zależności od indywidualnych okoliczności. Chociaż przekazy pieniężne są potencjalnie ważnym sposobem złagodzenia ograniczeń budżetu rodzinnego, to najsłabsi, wymagający opieki członkowie rodziny, niejednokrotnie ponoszą wysokie koszty decyzji migracyjnych. Swoistym skutkiem migracji ekonomicznej Polaków dla funkcjonowania ich rodzin jest sieroctwo migracyjne dzieci oraz osób starszych, będące głównym przedmiotem rozważań niniejszego artykułu. Szczególną uwagę należy zwrócić na osoby w późnej starości, których odsetek w naszym kraju stale wzrasta. W kontekście omawianej problematyki, koniecznym jest podjęcie kroków mających na celu złagodzenie kosztów migracji ponoszonych przez rodziny, oferując wsparcie, kompensujące straty wynikające z mobilności.

    Wilno jest tradycyjnie miastem wielokulturowym. Historia, zwłaszcza w XX wieku przyniosła temu miejscu wiele radykalnych zmian w zakresie przynależności państwowej czy transformacji systemowej. Miało to swoje odbicie w polityce monumentalnej. W artykule poddano analizie przykładowe pomniki wileńskie, które w zamierzeniu inicjatorów ich budowy miały być instrumentem zasadniczej zmiany społecznej, ale nie okazały się skutecznym mechanizmem oddziaływania oraz te które zyskały rangę dzięki nadawanemu mu przez odbiorców znaczeniu. Przy tym podstawową perspektywą analiz było oddziaływanie wychowawcze.

    The aim of this article was to make an attempt to outline the perception of the acculturation process of Ukrainian children in Polish schools in their parents. Applying Berry's theory of acculturation, it was demonstrated that the systemic solutions concerning the education of children of a national minority in public institutions are rooted in the classical model of assimilation. The attitudes of the children’s parents who came to Poland for work or to escape war also indicate a desire to assimilate their children in the school environment as soon as possible, and at the same time to separate them in the home environment or in the group of compatriots.

    The global pandemic-induced crisis has caused the differences that exist between the sexes in many areas of life to become more extreme. Apart from its influence on mental health, the necessity to adjust to the obligation of social distancing has also influenced the possibilities of students’ development as regards relationships. It has also limited their ability to earn money, which directly affects one’s economic status and other related areas such as the availability of healthcare, etc. This study, which aims to present the psychosocial state of women who have been studying in Poland during the pandemic, shows that it is women, more than men, who have experienced the changes caused by the pandemic, both in the context of how they function and their fears. Life satisfaction amongst female students depends largely on their economic and material independence, and any hardships experienced influence, more often than in the case of men, the emotions that are dominant in women. The results of the study clearly show that in the long run establishing a network of psychological support for women will be necessary as a response to their psychosocial health, which has worsened during the pandemic. Additionally, educated people who, in these difficult times, have not had the possibility to earn money or have had to accept jobs below their competencies (which may also significantly affect their life satisfaction), will be in need of support.
