Opis:
As the whole world is going mobile, application of mobile devices in education, also known as m-learning, is becoming one of the most popular areas of educational research. This paper presents the implementation and evaluation of the effectiveness and students’ attitudes toward an adaptive mobile learning system based on personalized content and mobile web. Personalization of learning materials is based on the Felder-Silverman learning style model and the features of the accessing mobile device were identified using the device library. The results of the study confirm students’ positive attitudes toward mobile learning and the developed adaptive m-learning system. They also prove the effectiveness of the system and m-learning as an additional educational tool in terms of increasing students’ knowledge and scores.

The issue of intellectual property protection on the global information network the Internet has recently become a matter of serious concern on the part of rights holders. Copyright, which arose with the invention of book printing in medieval Europe, was originally planned and understood as an institution of exclusive author’s monopoly on the production of material copies of works. In fact, it is in this context that the concept of copyright existed until the XXI century. On the eve of the new millennium, the emergence of an unprecedented phenomenon for its time - the World Wide Web, has significantly shaken traditional views on the concept of copyright and the limits of its regulation. The effectiveness of the copyright approach to the protection of the legitimate interests of right holders was questioned as early as 1845 by the American judge in the case of Emerson V. Davies. In his opinion, the exclusive rights to the results of creative activity are inadmissible, given that these results themselves are the result of thoughts, ideas, images that were created and repeatedly used by other people. Indeed, creativity is impossible without attracting or borrowing from the “intellectual treasury” of civilization. With the development of modern information technology, such borrowing has become available to anyone with an Internet connection. With the proliferation of computer programs that allow you to record music, create images, animation, creativity is no longer an elite activity available only to the select few.

The present article concerns the issue of transferring practices typical for the Internet hypertext onto the ground of TV media. Evolution of TV transfer is characterized by increasing tendency to “downlink” other places in the info-sphere, placing references to numerous previews, pointing out other sources. All this contributes to the fact that TV may be perceived as next - apart from the Internet - medium of network nature. A substantial part in this process is played by the celebrities, who constitute a kind of core, around which all remaining elements of medial network are arranged. However, the process of “networking” TV is far more than purely marketing strategy of creating the most attractive message possible. It constitutes the reflection of the way human brain works, which prefers the analysis of cut and separated, out-of-context messages to longer and more subtle ones.

Web 2.0 provides resources and tools that make the learning process social and collaborative as they connect students with each other and help to move from the instructor-centred methods of teaching to more contextual learning and problem-solving techniques (J.West and M.West, 2009). The aim of the paper is to introduce findings on the project of implementing Web 2.0 resources for collaborative work in the National Research University Higher School of Economics. The main objectives of the project were to 1) single out Internet resources aimed at collaboration to suit the purposes of educational programme; 2) determine how much collaborative learning background students have and their attitudes to online and face-to-face collaboration; 3) analyse the students’ involvement in collaborative learning activities; 4) research the influence of web-related technologies on willingness to collaborate. The main methods used in the research were questionnaire, interview and observation as well as analyses of students’ work. The results revealed a positive attitude to Web 2.0 among the majority of the students. The offered Internet resources (Tricider.com, MeetingWords.com, TodaysMeet.com) improved communication and collaboration outside of the classroom, which is vital as increasingly less time is being allocated for studying a foreign language. Besides, Web 2.0 resources make it easier for teachers to evaluate each student’s contribution to task achievement and ensure fair assessment of each student’s work.

The research examined the relationship between web-based learning and self-learning readiness of nursing students. The research was a single-group experiment, in which 162 second-year nursing students were given a pre-test and a post-test. All the students use the Internet. Before and after the web-based course, a statistically significant difference was observed concerning the average points totaled for self-learning readiness. Results show that web-based learning positively affected the self-learning readiness of nursing students. Therefore, nursing students would benefit from web-based education as it improves their readiness for self-learning.

Opis:
XXI w. niewątpliwie należy do prawa własności intelektualnej.
The 21st century undoubtedly belongs to intellectual property law. In principle, each area of social life, but also private individuals to some extent, depend on legal regulations in this field. On the one hand, amazing technological development has taken place, thanks to which unprecedented improvements have been made in areas such as health, economic well-being and overall quality of life, on the other, technologies have forever changed societies, not just Western ones. Therefore, intellectual property law has faced huge challenges since the begin-ning of our century. It can deepen the gap between the poor and the rich by hindering access to modern solutions, it can also help overcome barriers (access to medicines, knowledge, and material goods). Legal issues arise in every field that humanity develops through its creativi-ty - soon, legislators will have to face questions regarding, among others effective protection of software, big data, personalized medicine, autonomous vehicles, video games and artifi-cial intelligence, etc. However, the question arises whether the actions of legislators will meet the expectations of society and whether they are sensitive to the needs of a changing world.

Nowadays it would not be possible to plan an Italian language and culture class without considering the opportunity to use ICT. After the evolution from web to web 2.0 and from e-learning to e-learning 2.0, teachers approached a new concept of learning and teaching online. Web 2.0 tools, the social networks in particular, are considered a valuable resource for communicating, interacting and sharing linguistic and cultural contents, in formal and informal learning. Facebook, the most famous social network, becomes a virtual learning environment for students of Italian as a Second Language where posts, images, links and videos can be shared and used as L2 input. The Facebook page Lingua Italiana Per Stranieri (progetto LIPS), that we described it in this article, represents an example of a didactic use of this famous social network.

This article is devoted to innovative learning technology, namely web quest, an effective learning tool that promotes the cognitive activity of applicants for higher medical educational institutions, focused on today’s challenges related to forming an independent, creative, competent personality. The main attention is paid to using quests in studying chemical disciplines in distance learning. The purpose of the study is to identify the main aspects of web quests’ effectiveness in the training of future medical professionals, revealing the main stages of the organisation. Specific examples of quests are also given from my own practical experience. An analysis of recent publications on this issue was carried out, and as a result, we argue that scientific sources do not sufficiently cover tuse of web quests in the study of chemical disciplines in higher medical education institutions, which is the impetus for the study. The article presents the stages of organising quests for students in the discipline “Medical Chemistry”, which include both the actual creation of a blog (initial, thematic, address, final), as well as the choice of topic, goals, tasks, division of responsibilities between participants and publication of results during distance learning (online conferences, videos, projects, booklets, commercials, prevention essays). It is presented an analysis of a survey of teachers and students on the effectiveness of the introduction of this technology in the training of future medical professionals. The analysis of the results shows that web quests meet modern requirements for implementing the educational process in medical and educational institutions and contribute to acquiring professional competence. Teachers and students who participated in the survey noted that web quests are an effective modern technology that promotes motivation, interest in the subject and chosen profession, and the formation of key competencies that must have a modern medical professional to be competitive. Specific examples of involving students in web quests on the subject of “Medical Chemistry” during research activities in the scientific section of Cherkasy Medical Academy.

On a daily basis, Google’s algorithm plays a decisive role in determining the success or failure of web content. Authors must not only consider linguistic norms and conventions, which have been thoroughly explored in the literature on the subject, but also adhere to Google’s guidelines and the suggestions of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) experts in order to optimise their content for a high position in the SERP (Search Engine Results Page). This process is highly complex, as it depends on the continuous updates of the search engine and requires consideration of all the services provided by Google—such as YouTube, Images, and Discover, among others—to meet the diverse needs of its users. Moreover, if necessary, the significant impact of social media, which is in some way connected with search engines, cannot be underestimated. It is evident that the search engine induces certain linguistic usages and trends, and its important role must be acknowledged in providing a clear and impartial view of such phenomena. In the context of web writing, the practice of “hyper-planning” is a fundamental aspect that is largely dependent on Google’s guidelines, as well as authors’ adherence to official guidelines, SEO manuals, and case studies. This approach embodies a markedly distinct attitude from the nonchalant approach often associated with web writing. This work is based on a corpus of 40 online guides and aims to illustrate the influence of the search engine on editorial choices concerning the lexicon (as part of “surface” planning), textuality, syntax, and content structure (as part of a more “deep” planning).

The article provides a practical overview of the use of STEM-learning technology, which aims to establish interdisciplinary links that contribute to the formation of students’ holistic, systematic worldview, modern personal attitudes to the issues. Such lessons or classes can be conducted by combining the subjects of several subjects or the formation of integrated courses or separate special courses for students during distance education. In the conditions of distance education, the use of dynamic web-services in the professional activity of a teacher acquires practical significance, with the help of which it becomes possible to work with students some curriculum materials with the involvement of STEM-technologies. Own experience and experience of teachers of the Zaporizhzha region in the implementation of the study of real natural processes that can be carried out in distance learning, was analyzed. In this way, teachers found out and used several interesting dynamic web-resources that are fully or partially publicly available and do not require additional financial costs (registration or subscription) when conducting lessons on the basis of STEM. Thus, the available teaching aids can be used in classroom (face-to-face) work, when the teacher uses a projector to demonstrate to the whole class activities on the resource, or in individual or group work, using smartphones as teaching aids. The experience of practical use of sites was carried out in KZ “ZOIPPO” ZOR in teaching the discipline of information and communication technologies, where teachers read web pages and train to compose tasks for students to use them in their daily teaching practice. Due to such tasks, in the study of the world economy and the national economy, students develop an awareness of global interdependence and personal responsibility. Such activities immediately implement several cross-cutting levels of the curriculum: a holistic scientific view of the world, an adequate understanding of the peculiarities of the modern world; understanding of the unity and harmony between the natural environment, the development of material production and the level of growth of social standards of the population in conditions of sustainable development. Of course, involvement in distance learning format is not able to fully replace the face-to-face format. But to reinforce theoretical material, it can be a good alternative for understanding natural phenomena or processes in the study of physics, astronomy, geography, geology, biology and ecology, chemistry, etc.
