Opis:
The article discusses the problem of academic dishonesty, which has been growing in Western Europe, North America, in the transitional economies of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. However, cross-cultural comparisons remain scarce, particularly with regard to the former communist countries. This paper presents an exploratory study on academic misconduct in Switzerland, Ukraine and Poland. The Academic Dishonesty Scale was used. A sample of 870 university students participated. The results reveal no differences between Ukrainian and Polish students in terms of attitudes toward cheating. Swiss students expressed significantly more negative attitudes. The results offer implications for the practice of moral awareness.

The contemporary study of careers requires taking into consideration multicontextual changes in the world of work, which make individuals face new challenges. The purpose of this article is to draw attention to the numerous transformations taking place in the contemporary reality, including in the world of work, which influence people’s professional career, the significance attributed to it and the success achieved through it. This article presents the results of own research concerning career success as perceived from the perspective of academic students from Poland. Particular attention was paid to two aspects of this issue: its objective and subjective nature, as well as the assessment of own chances for achieving it within one’s career path. The results of the studies prove, that the surveyed youth perceives success in a career in a subjective manner, but that its objective dimension is also important for the academic students, and that the vast majority take a positive attitude towards their own professional future. The resulting empirical material may carry important implications for the educational practice.

Children’s verbal expression is an element of their active learning. Its significance in children’s education and development was duly appreciated by C. Freinet, a French educator and propagator of the idea of subjective learning. The article refers to some aspects of such learning where neither the teacher nor the pupils stay passive. It also presents selected methods of work with a literary text, among these – plays with words, initiated by individual pupils or pupils as a group.

Cooperation between children’s homes and facilities for seniors may be considered the most humane way of integration of both social groups living in residential care conditions. Therefore, development of various socio-educational programmes is a challenge that should be taken note of by any children’s home and facility for seniors. Effectively filled time of children from children’s homes may have a preventive effect against possible socio-pathological phenomena or work as prevention against ageism and support of intergenerational relations.

Pupils’ spontaneous questions and statements represent interesting research material from the point of view of the effects they have on the actions taken by the teacher (explanations, assessment, control, etc.) as well as on the kind of knowledge pupils acquire (about the world and about themselves) as a consequence of the teacher’s actions. The research into the functioning of children in the course of educational activities described in this article is merely an example of possible attacks on the problems of subjectivity. The research results enrich the present knowledge of the teacher’s actions (taken in connection with students’ knowledge or lack of it). They also point to the possibility of further research into students’ spontaneous speech at various levels of education.

The study presents theoretical starting points and research approaches dedicated to the teaching profession in an international context. It provides interesting insights into the relationship between teachers’ workload and their life satisfaction. The research presented in this study is focused on primary and pre-primary teachers. The authors present the results of a theoretical survey of the current studies and identify the intents of the research objective. They plan to expand the research objective to include a comparison of cross-cultural data between teachers from Slovakia, Poland and the Czech Republic. The findings are intended to provide valuable knowledge and inspiration for improving the working conditions of teachers. In addition, they can contribute to the innovation of undergraduate teacher education and lifelong teacher education programs. The current international research is aimed to find out how teachers in the early stages of children’s education, i.e. teachers of primary and pre-primary education, manage the demands of their profession through the lens of their specific professional activities. Subsequently, the obtained results are compared with the feeling of satisfaction in their life. The aim of this research is to provide an international comparison of teachers from Slovakia, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Opis:
The purpose of this article was to characterize selected subjective internal determinants affecting the foreign policy of the Republic of Turkey: the concept of foreign policy and the quality and activity of foreign service and diplomacy. The most important challenges that Ankara’s diplomacy was forced to address include the need for a clear statement on the side of one of the blocks fighting in World War II, reaching agreement with Greece, partially related to territorial disputes, arranging relations with the USA, Israel and Arab states, as well as conducting accession negotiations with NATO and the European Union. The assumption of power by the Justice and Development Party has started a new phase in Turkish foreign policy. The article indicates international initiatives undertaken by Turkish decision-makers after 2002, including the promotion of culture and language (Yunus Emre Institutes) and development assistance (Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency).
Цель данной статьи – охарактеризовать отдельные субъективные внутренние условия, влияющие на внешнюю политику Турецкой Республики: концепцию внешней политики, а также качество и активность внешней службы и дипломатии. Наиболее важные проблемы, с которыми дипломатия Анкары была вынуждена справиться, это необходимость четко определиться на стороне одного из блоков, воюющих во Второй мировой войне, достичь соглашения с Грецией, в том числе в области территориальных споров, наладить отношения с США, Израилем и арабскими государствами, а также вести переговоры о вступлении в НАТО и Евросоюз. С приходом к власти Партии справедливости и развития начался новый этап внешней политики Турции. В статье рассказывается о международных инициативах, предпринятых турецкими политиками после 2002 года, включая содействие развитию культуры и языка (Центры турецкой культуры имени Юнуса Эмре) и помощь в целях развития (Турецкое агентство по сотрудничеству и координации).

The glossed resolution has a significant impact on the catalogue of legal measures for environmental protection. Since the personal and collective dimensions of environmental protection are not in conflict, and the related private and public interests are based on a common value as the environment, seeking protection of individual rights threatened or violated as a result of environmental impact may constitute an important means of indirect legal protection of the environment and its resources, competitive to direct measures taken in the public interest. However, the reasoning of the Supreme Court indicated in the justification of the resolution raises certain doubts and may have significant consequences for the manner of interpretation of the provisions of the environmental protection law system.
Glosowana uchwała istotnie oddziałuje na katalog prawnych środków ochrony środowiska. Jako, że osobisty i zbiorowy wymiar ochrony środowiska nie pozostają w sprzeczności, a związane z nimi interesy prywatne i interes publiczny opierają się na wspólnej wartości jaką jest środowisko, dochodzenie ochrony praw jednostki zagrożonych lub naruszonych w wyniku oddziaływania na środowisko mogą stanowić istotny środek pośredniej ochrony prawnej środowiska i jego zasobów, konkurencyjnej względem środków o charakterze bezpośrednim, podejmowanych w interesie publicznym. Wskazana w uzasadnieniu uchwały argumentacja Sądu Najwyższego rodzi jednak pewne wątpliwości i może mieć istotne konsekwencje dla sposobu wykładni przepisów systemu prawa ochrony środowiska.
