    Czechia lost more than 3,000,000 inhabitants as a result of the WW II. Germans displaced from the borderland formed the largest part. The newcomers after 1945 were of a different character – without any relation to their new settlements. This population formed a special social milieu familiar with the socialist way of thinking and that of a suppressed middle class. The consequences of it are seen in demographic, economic, environmental and social areas. After 1989, the factories in the borderland were mostly closed down, armies left the territory, people were not prepared to start their own businesses. Large-scale landscape protection formed a new barrier. Tourism is not able to substitute for the decrease in employment. The hope in cross-border collaboration has been overestimated.

    Pod koniec marca 2017 r., rząd brytyjski zainicjował procedurę prawną dotyczącą wystąpienia z Unii Europejskiej, rozpoczynając tym samym dwuletnie odliczanie do Brexitu. Jednakże, biorąc pod uwagę stan na sierpień 2019 r., ostateczny wynik negocjacji, jest nadal w toku. Niepewność wywołana przez Brexit w ciągu ostatnich lat wpływała negatywnie na gospodarkę Wielkiej Brytanii, np. wzrost gospodarczy. Niniejsza praca ukazuje wpływ Brexitu na Niemcy z uwzględnieniem perspektywy ekonomicznej i społecznej. W naszych analizach rozróżniamy między efektami po ogłoszeniu Brexitu, a jego możliwymi skutkami. Uwzględniając perspektywę ekonomiczną, nasze analizy koncentrują się na czterech swobodach rynku wewnętrznego Unii Europejskiej. W perspektywie społecznej, nasze analizy skupiają się na mobilności, studiach i praktykach w Wielkiej Brytanii, transakcjach finansowych oraz prawach konsumentów. Za pomocą statystyk opisowych, bazując głównie na danych z Destatis i Eurostatu, przewidujemy następujące konsekwencje. Biorąc pod uwagę perspektywę ekonomiczną, spodziewamy się negatywnych następstw, takich jak pogorszenie relacji handlowych między Wielką Brytanią a Niemcami, wpływających na zatrudnienie, w szczególności w sektorze motoryzacyjnym. Uwzględniając perspektywę społeczną, spodziewamy się także negatywnych konsekwencji, np. wynikających z podróżowania do Wielkiej Brytanii: rosnących kosztów podróży, opłat roamingowych, dodatkowego ubezpieczenia zdrowotnego. Wśród pozostałych obszarów, na które może wpływać Brexit wskazać należy studia i praktyki w Wielkiej Brytanii, transakcje finansowe oraz prawa konsumentów.
    At the end of March 2017, the British government initiated the legal procedure of withdrawal from the EU, beginning the two-year countdown towards Brexit. However, as of August 2019, the final outcome of the Brexit negotiations is still pending. The Brexit uncertainty over the years has had an impact on the UK economy negatively affecting, e.g., its growth. This paper addresses the impact of Brexit, however from the viewpoint of Germany, focusing on the economic and social perspective. For our analyses, we differentiate between the announcement of Brexit and the possible final outcomes of Brexit. From an economic perspective, our analyses focus on the four freedoms of the European Single Market. From a social perspective, our analyses focus on mobility, studying and training in the UK, financial transactions and consumer rights. Using descriptive statistics primarily based on data from Destatis and Eurostat, we expect the following implications. From an economic perspective, we expect negative implications like worsening trade relationship between the UK and Germany affecting jobs, especially in the automotive sector. From a social perspective, we also expect negative implications like increasing travel costs to the UK, increasing mobile phone roaming charges, additional healthcare insurance. Further areas impacted by Brexit may be studying and training in the UK, financial transactions and customers rights.

    Juvenescence constitutes period between infantile sexuality and sexuality of young man. Adolescence is time of discovering sexual identity, initiating new sexual behaviors and involving into intimate relationships. During this period, the forms of sexual activity are developing from less to more and more mature – from masturbation, through petting to sexual initiation. Decision of a first sexual intercourse is an important act for every person. Nevertheless, sexual initiation which is precocious, in a stage of unformed identity, can disturb psychosexual functioning of an individual causing unplanned pregnancies, leading to sexually transmissible diseases and initiating risky sexual behaviors. The causes of starting precocious sexual activity are associated with improper models of upbringing (strictness or lack of interference) as well as with distancing of youth from pedagogical or educational influences of school or church. These traditional socializing agendas are replaced with media influences and behavior patterns providing by peers. It seems that only complex acts from pedagogical and socializing backgrounds can contribute starting responsible behaviors of youth in sexual field.

    The goal of the article is to describes the impact of parental behaviour on children’s lives. The main body discusses the neglect of parental duties and the misguided attitude towards raising children exhibited by some parents. Additionally, the article describes the phenomenon of orphanhood and its connection with the problems that some parents are unable to cope with. The second part focuses on the most harmful consequences of certain negative behaviours exhibited by some parents. The final part of the article is a list of personality disorders and the other problems that children suffering from social orphanhood may experience.

    The article discusses the problem of sexual violence towards people with intellectual disabilities. It presents the definition and occurrence of this phenomenon by taking into account the difficulties in estimating the scale of sexual violence towards people with intellectual disabilities. Risk factors for sexual violence that are typical of the general population and people with intellectual disability are analyzed. People with intellectual disabilities are characterized as victims of sexual abuse. This article also deals with the consequences of experiencing sexual violence for the development ofpeople with intellectual disabilities.

    The paper consists of series of suggestions and historical references on the basis of which it would become possible to think and practice „spectator pedagogy” in performing arts.     The article is devoted to the migration crisis in modern Europe. Considered the reasons for migration crisis and contributing to the worsening situation of migrants, the actions of different countries to resolve the crisis, possible consequences for the European States. Defines the main directions of migration flows, the main problems of migration policy. Identified the necessary direction in the development of migration policies of European countries, prospects for resolving the immigration crisis.

    Social support is essential for mental and physical health and plays an important role in reducing the risk of returning to prison. The main sources of prisoners’ social support are relatives with whom they have the right to communicate using a variety of forms. The frequency of contact depends on the type of prison. However, little research examines prisoners’ communication with their relatives. The study was conducted on 478 men between the ages of 16 and 68 (M = 35,2; SD = 9,7), who were serving a prison sentence in one of five penitentiary facilities. The analysis revealed that the majority of incarcerated men had contact with their relatives, usually in a form of phone calls. The majority of them had contact with a mother. The study also demonstrated that the percentage of contacts with relatives decreased with age and time spent in prison.

    Infertility has been a big problem since the beginning of human existence. Some causes of infertility have always been present, other called ‟civilization causes” appeared recently, causing an increased need for treatment, hence the assisted reproductive technologies (ART), including “in-vitro”, have been introduced. Most children conceived with this method are healthy, but there is no doubt that it is a group of increased risk of various diseases. These methods are not accepted by the Catholic church, mainly because they involve killing or freezing of embryos regarded as human beings, but also for other reasons.

    In the article I describe the cosmic context of biological evolution and its concretization in the form of various formulations of anthropic principles (weak, strong, probabilistic, ultimate and participatory) in order to discuss selected philosophical and theological consequences of the anthropic of the Universe. The aim of the article is to answer the question whether the fact of the anthropic nature of the Universe leads to the possibility of justifying theses of an ontological, epistemological and theological nature.

    The article looks at treatments of Poland’s 20th-century history in Polish films made over the last several years. Since 2007, Polish cinema has seen an explosion of films dealing in various ways with the history of the last century. These include mega-productions by directors known for making historically themed films, like Wajda’s Katyń or Hoffman’s 1920. Battle of Warsaw, and traditional historical dramas dealing with iconic personalities (Rafał Wieczyński’s Popiełuszko. Freedom Is Within Us) and moments in time (Antoni Krauze’s Black Thursday. Janek Wiśniewski Fell). However, a number of other works make use of historical settings from the last century in new and innovative ways. Most choose smaller-scale, less grand approaches to the past, though without abandoning an ambition to accurately depict the times they portray. Films focused on issues related to family and personal relationships, such as Jan Kidawa-Błoński’s Little Rose or Borys Lankosz’s Reverse, likewise speak about life during communism, but attempt to do so without repeating clichéd images by engaging new problems or returning to familiar ones using new techniques. Lastly, memory often plays an important role as a source of knowledge about the past, and as a filter for mediating experiences of it. This can be best seen in Rafael Lewandowski’s The Mole, Władysław Pasikowski’s Consequences (Pokłosie), and Wojciech Smarzowski’s Dark House. Archival evidence, memories of relatives, and the camera itself are used in the films to pose questions about the subjectivity inherent to film as a means of learning about the past.

    Artykuł porusza zagadnienie aktywności zawodowej pracowników socjalnych w trakcie pandemii COVID-19. Główne problemy badawcze dotyczyły: oceny stopnia realizacji pracy socjalnej; sposobu postrzegania podstawowych funkcji pracy socjalnej oraz identyfikacji zmian w funkcjonowaniu reprezentowanej organizacji. Celem badawczym było określenie różnic w profesjonalnym działaniu i w postawach pracowników socjalnych, biorąc pod uwagę typ gminy reprezentowanej przez respondenta, wielkość reprezentowanej instytucji, poziom doświadczenia zawodowego oraz rodzaj stanowiska. Badania przeprowadzono techniką wywiadów internetowych wspomaganych komputerowo (CAWI) wśród pracowników zatrudnionych na terenie województwa wielkopolskiego oraz aktywnych zawodowo w czasie pandemii COVID-19. Wyniki badań (N = 284) wskazują, że pracownicy socjalni w trakcie pandemii szczególnie koncentrowali się na wykonywaniu administracyjnych czynności oraz świadczeniu pomocy w formie działań osłonowych. Było to szczególnie widoczne w gminach wiejskich i miejsko-wiejskich. W mniejszych ośrodkach rzadziej podejmowano również działania z zakresu integracji społecznej oraz rzecznictwa praw i interesów osób w trudnej sytuacji socjalnej. Analiza materiału empirycznego prowadzi do konkluzji o pracy socjalnej w dobie pandemii jako aktywności skoncentrowanej na zaspokojeniu podstawowych potrzeb opiekuńczych i zapewnieniu bezpieczeństwa finansowego osób w kryzysie socjalnym. Natomiast na marginesie profesjonalnych działań znajduje się zaangażowanie środowiskowe, w tym również aktywność obywatelska.
    The article deals with the issue of the professional activity of social workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The main research problems are assessing the degree of implementation of social work; changes perceived in the functions of social work, and observing changes in the functioning of the represented organization. My research goal was to determine the differences in professional activity and in the attitudes of social workers, taking into account the type of municipality represented by the respondent, the size of the designated institution, the experience of the social workers, and the type of professional position. The research was conducted using the computer-assisted web interviewing (CAWI) technique among social workers in the Greater Poland Province who engaged in work during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research results (N = 284) show that during the pandemic social workers focused particularly on administrative activities and providing assistance in the form of protective measures. This was especially visible in rural and urban-rural municipalities. In smaller centres, activities in the field of social integration and defence of the rights and interests of people in a difficult social situation were also undertaken less frequently. The analysis of empirical material leads to conclusions about social work during the COVID-19 pandemic being an activity aimed at satisfying basic care needs and ensuring the financial security of people at risk. Environmental and civic involvement are on the margins of professional activity.

    Conviction for a crime raises a number of legal consequences not only for the convicted person, but also for those who are in a family or professional relationship with this person, as well as for the victims of crime. However, the existing regulations applicable to adjudication in criminal matters do not require consideration of the influence of the conviction on the situation of third parties. This fact justifies an attempt to investigate whether the legal system protects these persons from the negative influence of a conviction, and from the effect of the use of instruments of criminal punishment on their family and property, and whether the consequences of a conviction for third persons should be taken into account by the court in the process of adjudication regarding the response to a crime. The author also attempts to formulate a statutory requirement for the criminal court to take into account the individual and social consequences of a conviction, including the consequences of the use of punitive measures, referring in particular to the problem of equality under the law and proportionality of the criminal punishment to the harm suffered by third parties in the event of its application.
    Fakt skazania za przestępstwo rodzi szereg konsekwencji prawnych nie tylko w odniesieniu do osoby skazanej, lecz także innych osób, które pozostają z nim w relacji rodzinnej czy zawodowej, a także dla ofiary przestępstwa. Obowiązujące regulacje dotyczące orzekania w sprawach karnych nie formułują jednak wymogu uwzględniania wpływu skazania na sytuację osób trzecich. Uzasadnia to podjęcie próby zbadania, czy osoby te są w systemie prawnym w jakiś sposób chronione przed negatywnymi konsekwencjami oddziaływania skazania oraz stosowania instrumentów reakcji karnej na ich sferę rodzinną i majątkową, czy też odczuwane przez nie konsekwencje skazania powinny być uwzględniane przez sąd w procesie orzekania w przedmiocie reakcji na przestępstwo. Autorka podjęła także próbę sformułowania ustawowego wymogu uwzględniania przez sąd karny indywidualnych i społecznych konsekwencji skazania, w tym także stosowania instrumentów reakcji karnej, odnosząc się w szczególności do problematyki równości wobec prawa i współmierności reakcji karnej do dolegliwości odczuwanej przez osoby trzecie w związku z jej zastosowaniem.

    Opis:
    According to the prevailing opinion, the period of time allowed for the acceptance or rejection of succession (Article 1015 para. 1 of the Civil Code) requires modification when the parents submit to the court a motion to be granted the permission to reject succession on a minor’s behalf (Article 101 para. 3 of the Family and Guardianship Code). There is a risk the Court may grant its permission after the lapse of the strict time limit and the minor would lose his or her right to reject the succession. To avoid such a situation, in the way of analogia legis, the provisions on limitation of claims or the provisions on transmission are applied to the period of the time allowed for acceptance or rejection of succession. The paper proves that Article 1015 para. 1 of the Civil Code is not burdened with the constructional loophole, therefore there are no reasons for applying analogia legis. The time limit may be preserved if the parents submit a motion to make the declaration to reject succession to the court. If they fail to do so and the time limit has lapsed, it is possible to avoid the legal consequences of a lack of declaration to reject succession in the time limit due to an error of law (Article 1019 of the Civil Code).
    Według dominującego poglądu bieg terminu na przyjęcie lub odrzucenie spadku (art. 1015 § 1 k.c.) wymaga modyfikacji w przypadku złożenia przez rodziców wniosku o udzielenie zezwolenia na odrzucenie spadku w imieniu małoletniego (art. 101 § 3 k.r.o.). Istnieje ryzyko, że sąd udzieli zezwolenia już po upływie terminu zawitego i małoletni utraci prawo do odrzucenia spadku. Aby tego uniknąć, do biegu terminu na przyjęcie lub odrzucenie spadku w drodze analogia legis stosuje się przepisy o przedawnieniu względnie przepisy o transmisji. W artykule wykazano, że art. 1015 § 1 k.c. nie jest dotknięty luką konstrukcyjną, a więc brak jest przesłanek dla stosowania analogia legis. Termin bowiem może zostać zachowany, jeżeli rodzice w czasie jego biegu złożą w sądzie wniosek o odebranie oświadczenia o odrzuceniu spadku. Jeżeli tego nie uczynili i termin upłynął, istnieje możliwość uchylenia się od skutków prawnych niezłożenia oświadczenia o przyjęciu lub odrzuceniu spadku w terminie z uwagi na błąd co do prawa (art. 1019 k.c.).
