The article analyses relationship patterns as predictors of relationship status (having vs not having a partner) among female university students. Inner relationship patterns were identified on the basis of written statements on significant relations. The statements were obtained through the Relationship Anecdotes Paradigm (RAP), which allows the acquisition of autobiographic records of narrative nature on personally significant interpersonal relations. The results of the analysis based on the concept of Core Conflictual Relationship Theme (CCRT) helped predict whether a respondent has a partner thanks to only one category of relationship patterns – the desire of the self to feel well and comfortably, to have a sense of stability, to feel happy and self-satisfied, triggered in the context of referring to a significant interpersonal relation in the narratives. The other aspects of the patterns – responses of the other to the self’s desire and the response of the self to the reactions of the other – do not markedly affect the prediction of the relationship status.

Analysis of terms ‘social relationship’ and ‘legal relationship’ in the literature of legal theory and legal philosophy encounters many difficulties especially because of the ambiguity of such terms as ‘law’, ‘positive (statutory) law’, ‘rule’, ‘legal rule’, ‘norm’ and ‘legal norm’. Insight into the mentioned above literature points out that particularly the former pair of these notions have been so far wrongly considered as equivalent. It does not result a correct description of the relationship between different normative social systems such as statutory (positive) law, morality, religion and customs. Next it translates into a numbers of disputes about the content of positive law both in law-making’ and law-applying’s decisions.

This paper is an attempt to examine the senses and meanings attributed by physicians to the medical profession. The collected material is part of a larger project devoted to the physician-patient relationship reconstructed on the basis of individual narrations provided by physicians. The conducted research is closely linked to the qualitative perspective: Interpretative Paradigm and Interpretive Paradigm. The study was performed in the period 2015-2017. The examined group consisted of 16 subjects (6 female and 10 male physicians) from several provinces of Poland who were highly esteemed (subjective opinions) by their patients. The empirical data were collected by means of narrative interviews and the methodology applied for the analysis of the content was that of phenomenography.

Grandparents have always been the backbone of every family. Thanks to them the knowledge is passed on, values are shaped and traditions nurtured. They are a treasury of knowledge to which all family members reach. They are the people who will be happy to help, take care of, educate, explain and listen to. The relationship between grandparents and their grandchildren is very important, as they often spend a lot of time together and learn from each other. Due to the importance of the topic, a decision to learn more about the relationship between contemporary grandchildren and their grandparents was made. The scientific aim of the article is to learn about the relationships that exist between the studied students and their grandparents. Searching for an answer to the question posed, a research technique in the form of interviews with children was used. As a result of own research, it was shown that the surveyed students have very good relations with their grandparents, speak about them with great respect, and grandparents are a role model for them. The obtained results emphasize the extraordinary role of grandparents in the grandchildren’s lives, which is the basis for further studies on a larger scale, taking into account the perspective of grandparents and the demographic data of the surveyed families, which would enable the identification of mutual dependencies.

Throughout the years. researchers searched for the definition of a good teacher. This article offers to learn from model educators, fictional and historical, how to define values, perception and practices which characterize good teachers. Four fictional teachers were chosen based on two characteristics: First, author’s descriptions that underline their good qualities as a person and as a teacher. Second, remarks from their  students’ and/or students’ parents or guardians, stating their acknowledgment of the teachers’ special qualities. and their gratitude for the learning experience they shared. A qualitative narrative analysis of these teachers – ‘Jane Eyre’, ‘Ann of Green Gables’ and his sequel ‘Anne from Avonlea”, ‘Up the down Staircase’ and ‘Goodbye Mr. Chips’ – defined five major characteristics which represent the exceptional teacher: holistic perception of the student, identifying and addressing students’ unique needs, emphasis on student-teacher relationship, creative teaching, a sense of mission and an inspiring personality. Examining the work of exceptional educators such as Ann Sullivan (Helen Keler’s tutor). Janusz Korczak, and Haime Escelante, reveals common themes which corresponds with fictional model teachers characteristics. Qualitative interviews with 14 Israeli rural high school teachers (7 homeroom educators and 7 subject teachers) emphasized similar characteristics of their role perceptions and practices. The key to higher achievements, educational and academic alike, lies in the hands of the teachers. If these traits characterize the ‘good teacher’ we should consider merging then into teachers’ preparatory and in-work professional training, as well as teachers’ evaluation processes. Let us learn from good examples how to become ‘good teachers’.

This paper will analyse the role played by technology in Peter Sloterdijk’s theory, where he seeks to redefine and reconstruct ethics, society and democracy. Indeed, the philosopher’s project is to build a new kind of society, which risks being antidemocratic and elitist: technopolitics. This lemma refers to Sloterdijk’s reconfiguration of the social structure through the elimination of the human rights paradigm in a technological and anti-egalitarian manner. In order to do this, Sloterdijk redesigns the environment as a dangerous place whose rules cannot be followed, and which must be reshaped through technology. Hence, the philosopher reduces ethics to technology, and reinterprets society on the basis of new techno-ethical premises which support a hierarchical and selective new polis.

The present paper focuses on friendship’s role in life and poetry of Klemens Janicki (1516–1543). Unfortunately there is a noticeable lack of sources and testimonies. The analysis of poetical works written by Janicki is only partially useful. In the epoch of the Renaissance very often the statements on friendship were exaggerated. Despite of these circumstances it is possible to analyze the poetical techniques used in texts about friends and friendship. The paper ends with an attempt to describe the nature of Ianicius’ relationships with his friends.

The aim of the theoretical and empirical studies presented in the article was to analyze the relationship between intimacy and interpersonal commitment experienced in love relationships during early adulthood. The study involved 172 participants asked completed Interpersonal Commitment Questionnaire and Intimacy Questionnaire. The results of the research confirmed the occurrence of a relationship between interpersonal commitment and experienced intimacy, but not in all their dimensions. It was also established that the length of the relationship does not matter for the dimensions of both experienced intimacy and interpersonal commitment. For some of them, the type of love relationship is significant.

Opis:
Raising, caring and rehabilitation of children with disabilities and developmental disorders is a serious challenge for their parents, because everyday situations associated with fulfilling parental duties generate a lot of various stress factors. Hence, receiving various kinds of social support seems to be an important factor affecting the well-being of parents. Thanks to this form of aid, it is possible to deal with a difficult situation and to reduce the disorder in family life. Moreover, the received support can significantly affect the parent-child relationship. This is particularly important in the context of reducing unfavourable behaviour and to intensify constructive parenting behaviour. The main aim of the study was to recognise the type of aid provided to parents of disabled children and to determine the relationship between the support received by parents and the development of the parent-child relationship. The research group consisted of 66 parents of preschool children with disabilities and 40 parents of children without disabilities. The tools used in the research were: the Parent Behavior Inventory by M.C. Lovejoy, R. Weis, E. O’Hare & E.C. Rubin, the Parent Cognition Scale by J.D. Snarr, A.M.S. Slep & V.P. Grande and the Parents’ Questionnaire by Agnieszka Dłużniewska. The study was conducted according to the correlation model.

This article is based on data collected during a qualitative survey on children's leisure practices and family socialisation patterns. The paper focuses more specifically on the cross effects of gender and social class on the construction of body hexis and relationship to sports. The results show that several dimensions of family habitus must be taken into account: lifestyles, way in which parents divide the tasks of raising children and relationship they have with social competition or gender norms. Moreover, taking these different dimensions into account must be accompanied by an analysis of the concrete modes of socialization within the family and the practice context.

The voice connections observed within the A.G. Matos’s poetry establish the poem’s space/ the poem’s body. The grammar of the speech, grammar of the body and grammar of the poem are connected with the same category – the spaciousness. The insight of the voice metaphors highlights the relationship between the voice, body and space stressing the relationship as a condition of the poem’s voice and body existence.

Polish education and rehabilitation of persons with intellectual disabilities very often neglects the most crucial aspect of being with them, i.e. relationship. The emancipation processes taking place in Polish education and rehabilitation of people with intellectual disabilities have contributed to the gradual emergence of the relational paradigm, the theoretical basis of which constitute the theory of attachment, theory of intersubjectivity and mentalization. The article will attempt to conceptualize the relational paradigm in the field of education and rehabilitation of people with intellectual disabilities. Subsequently, it will present the concepts essential for the relational paradigm: the conceptual apparatus, theories providing its theoretical basis (attachment theory, theory of intersubjectivity). The article will conclude with a preliminary attempt to conceptualize the relational paradigm.
