    Globalization is the leading concept, which has become an immanent feature of the contemporary world. Almost all enterprises have been affected by occurring changes in the global economy. Progression from finance seized with hubris, through financialized governance, and instrumented management led to an economic collapse in 2007. It is a reflection of the „failing regulations”, or more precisely, the end of the myth of self-regulation, whether by market or professional bodies set up to do so. It appears therefore necessary to create a new framework, including a new perspective on finance (through the prism of social science), and a corporate governance system more stakeholder-oriented. Under conditions of free market economy, a good corporate governance system should integrate the various areas of governance, namely, regulatory, market, stakeholders, internal (shareholders), with varying methods of governance and the mechanisms at different times and conditions.

    The subject of this paper is the analysis of the factors that have the greatest importance regarding the implementation of the principles of social responsibility in transnational corporations. International standards for assessing corporate social responsibility define the framework and guidelines in the evaluation of the corporation in this regard. From the company's point of view, the involvement in social activities is used primarily for improving their own image. Companies try to reconcile the desire for profit with social considerations and environmental protection, however, this process is very complex. Corporations should carry out these policies and implement appropriate procedures. Additionally, consumers want to see the use of the CSR principles in practice, so corporations should measurably help the local community and/or support social organizations. In this context, the corporation may serve a wide audience, communities, and have a significant impact on the environment. The paper will attempt to answer the question regarding which factors affect the application of CSR in corporations.

    Główny celem artykułu jest ukazanie kierunków zmian w strategiach najpotężniejszych korporacji transnarodowych w efekcie wyzwań związanych z rosnącą rolą kapitału intelektualnego i szczególnym miejscem kapitału ludzkiego we współczesnym biznesie międzynarodowym. Dodatkowo bazując na Grounded Theory Methodology wskazanie kluczowych filarów strategii pozwalających przedsiębiorstwom efektywnie sprostać nowym wyzwaniom. Opracowanie zostało podzielone na trzy części. W części pierwszej omówiono najważniejsze kwestie teoretyczne dotyczące miejsca kapitału intelektualnego i kapitału ludzkiego w strategiach współczesnych przedsiębiorstw. W drugiej części scharakteryzowano nowe trendy w międzynarodowych transferach kapitału ludzkiego. W kolejnej części, na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań, omówiono wpływ zachodzących zmian na system organizacyjno‑zarządczy przedsiębiorstw – na przykładzie najpotężniejszych korporacji transnarodowych. Badania wykazały, że wszystkie najpotężniejsze korporacje transnarodowe zauważają rosnącą rolę kapitału intelektualnego we współczesnym biznesie. Podstawą strategii korporacji jest nacisk na rozwój podsystemów kapitału intelektualnego, odnoszący się do aktywizacji międzynarodowych transferów kapitału ludzkiego. W konsekwencji strategie rozwoju najpotężniejszych korporacji transnarodowych oparte są na trzech filarach: sieciowości, orkiestracji, kooperencji i bazują na trzech podsystemach kapitału intelektualnego: kapitale organizacyjnym, innowacyjnym, instytucjonalnym.
    The main objective of the article is to discuss the direction of changes in the strategies of the most powerful transnational corporations as a result of adjustments to the new challenges created by the growing role of human capital in contemporary international business. Based on the concept of Grounded Theory Methodology, the author will indicate the main pillars of the strategy which can be considered effective for new challenges. The study has been divided into three parts. The first part discusses the most important theoretical issues concerning the place of human capital in the strategies of contemporary enterprises. In the second part, the author characterizes new trends in international transfers of human capital. In the next part, based on the research, the author discusses the impact of changes on the organizational and management system of enterprises – on the example of the most powerful transnational corporations. The studies have shown that all the most powerful transnational corporations notice the growing role of intellectual capital in contemporary business. The basis of corporations’ strategies is the emphasis put on the development of subsystems of intellectual capital, which refers to the activation of international transfers of human capital. In consequence, the strategies of the development of the most powerful transnational corporations are based on three pillars: networking, orchestration, and coopetition, and they are based on the three subsystems of intellectual capital: organizational capital, innovations, and the institutional environment.

    The article shows changing the position of transnational corporations (TNCs) in the global economy. The article make an attempt to assess the impact of the increasing role of TNCs in the global flows of capital and the consequences of this fact for the international financial markets. The article consists of three parts. The first part – the evolution of transnational corporations as a basis for obtaining a strong position in the global economy. The second part – the analysis of the potential of the most powerful transnational corporations against the background of GDP of countries and the global capital market value. The third part – an attempt to assess the impact of corporations on international capital flows and functioning of financial markets.
    W artykule przedstawiono ewolucję korporacji transnarodowych i konsekwencje ich rosnącej roli w gospodarce światowej. Podjęto próbę oceny wpływu tych zmian na globalne przepływy kapitału oraz konsekwencje tego faktu dla międzynarodowych rynków finansowych. Artykuł składa się z trzech części. Część pierwsza – ewolucja korporacji transnarodowych jako podstawa uzyskania silnej pozycji w gospodarce światowej. Część drugiej – analiza potencjału najpotężniejszych korporacji transnarodowych na tle PKB państw oraz wartości globalnego rynku kapitałowego. Część trzecia – próba oceny wpływu korporacji na międzynarodowe przepływy kapitału i funkcjonowanie rynków finansowych.

    Developments in the global food economy and the increasing extent of globalization and trade liberalization pose new challenges for Polish agriculture. To meet these challenges it is essential for the agricultural and food industries to improve their competitiveness. This paper examines whether the funds allocated to Poland in the new budget perspective 2014-2020, and changes in the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) as well as the increase in demand for food in developing countries will have a positive impact on the Polish agriculture and increase its competitiveness. The following issues will be examined: The financial framework of the EU budget, with particular emphasis on EU funds for agriculture and rural areas; The consequences of changes in the CAP; Analysis of the Rural Development Programme in Poland in the years 2014-2020; Analysis of the increase in demand for food in developing countries with large populations, The influence of transnational corporations on the control and formation of prices in the food sector.
    Współczesne badania nad świadczeniami (usługami) ekosystemów (środowiska) potwierdzają rangę i znaczenie środowiska przyrodniczego i jego zasobów dla kształtowania dobrobytu człowieka. Szczególnie mocno akcentują ochronę żywych zasobów przyrody dla zachowania bioróżnorodności, która jest niezbędna dla utrzymania podstawowych procesów ekologicznych oraz zapewnienie trwałości użytkowania tychże zasobów. W efekcie ochrona bioróżnorodności to nie tylko problem przyrodniczy, ale również problem ekonomiczny i społeczny, dobrobytu i jakości życia. Zatem różnorodność biologiczna jest niezbędnym warunkiem zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa ekologicznego zachowania ciągłości procesów przyrodniczych, warunków i jakości życia oraz potencjału gospodarczego. Głównym celem artykułu jest wskazanie teoretycznych podstaw ochrony bioróżnorodności z perspektywy nauk przyrodniczych i ekonomicznych oraz identyfikacja zróżnicowań poziomu ochrony bioróżnorodności w krajach Unii Europejskiej. Celem szczegółowym jest wskazaniu form ochrony przyrody jako instrument ochrony bioróżnorodności oraz dokonanie przeglądu ustanawianych form ochrony przyrody w wybranych krajach UE. Dla realizacji tak założonego celu dokonano przeglądu literatury z zakresu nauk przyrodniczych, ekonomicznych i prawnych oraz aktualnych czasopism z zakresu naukprzyrodniczych prezentujących badania naukowe w obszarze bioróżnorodności. Analiza porównawcza została przygotowana w oparciu o dane statystyczne pochodzących z różnorodnych zasobów statystyki międzynarodowej (OECD, EUROSTAT, EEA).
