    Opis:
    The paper presents a case study of the practical use of Deming cycle in a manufacturing company, from the plastics processing industry, from the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises. The paper is a study of literature in the field of continuous improvement and characterized by a cycle of continuous improvement, called the Deming cycle, or PDCA cycle. This cycle was used as a solution to quality problems which occurred during production of photo frames: discolorations and scorches on the surface of the frame. When measures were introduced to reduce the number of non-conformities, a decrease by more than 60% was observed.

    In the chapter was presented enterprise dealing with the processing of plastics. Results of the BOST survey were presented from the range of the first principle of Toyota. It was made analysis of respondents’ characteristics. A structure of assessments was determined and correlation graphs were built.

    Green Supply chain, Green Packaging, Eco-labels, and Eco-design strategies are concepts that are discussed frequently within scientific and political debates. Eco-design strategies for Lifecycle Design include the Eco-design Strategy wheel which presents eight Eco-design strategies: New concept development, Selection of low-impact materials, Reduction of materials usage, Optimization of production techniques, Optimization of distribution system, Reduction of impact during use, Optimization of initial lifetime, and Optimization of end-of-life system. This research investigates specifically the selection of low impact raw materials phase using the European Union as a benchmark to improve the Egyptian situation and aims to apply the closed loop cycle to the Egyptian Plastics Industry. Its goal is to enlight the way towards Sustainable and Circular economy system in Plastics manufacturing sector in Egypt while emphasizing the financial benefits from the Business and Marketing perspectives rather than the Environmental perspective only.

    W artykule przedstawiono wyniki analizy niezgodności jakie występują podczas produkcji butelek PET w wybranym przedsiębiorstwie oraz zaproponowano wprowadzenie określonych działań korygujących i doskonalących jakość w oparciu o uzyskane wyniki. Przedstawiono badany produkt – butelkę PET oraz jej proces wytwórczy podstawowy. Zaprezentowano schemat blokowy procesu wytwórczego. Wykorzystano klasyczne narzędzia zarządzania jakością, tj. diagram Pareto-Lorenza oraz diagram Ishikawy w celu analizy ilościowej i jakościowej problemów jakościowych butelek PET. Bazując na kategoriach 5M z diagramu Ishikawy zaproponowano wprowadzenie działań korygujących w celu poprawy jakości badanych wyrobów. Zaproponowano wprowadzenie praktyk 5S w celu poprawy organizacji stanowisk pracy. Jako krytyczny element wymagający poprawy wskazano kompetencje pracowników oraz jakość dostarczanych półproduktów – preform PET.
    In the article was presented the results of analysis of the nonconformities which occur during the production of PET bottles in the selected company and were proposed the specific corrective and improvement actions related to quality based on the obtained results. It was showed the manufacturing process of analysed product - PET bottle. Classic tools of quality management, ie. Pareto-Lorenz diagram and Ishikawa diagram for quantitative and qualitative analysis of the PET bottles quality problems were used. Based on the 5M categories of Ishikawa diagram proposed the introduction of corrective actions to improve the quality of the analysed product. It also proposed the introduction of 5S practices in order to improve the organization of workstation. As a critical element in need of improvement indicated the competences of employees and the quality of delivered intermediates - PET preforms.
