Opis:
A superconducting field-effect transistor (SuFET) based transducer (sensor) with carbon nanotubes (CNT) or pickup coil kind of input circuit for the nerve and neuron impulses, DNA recombination signals, flows of biochemical molecules, micro- and nanoscopy, and biosusceptibility has been designed. A nanoSuFET with a high-temperature superconducting channel is introduced into the nerve fibre or brain tissue for transducing their signals in both directions. Pickup coils are implanted into an organism in order to obtain the natural or artificially excited biosignals from the organs and tissues. The range of picked up signals varies from 0.6 nA to 10 žA with frequencies from 20 to 2000 Hz. The output signal lies in the range of (-5¸5)V, (7¸0)×1017/cm3 molecules and (2¸10) pH. The sensitivity of this micro- or nanoscope can be estimated as HJ= 10-4 (A•m/?Hz) with SNR equal to 104. The sensitivity of an advanced first-order biogradiometer is equal to 3fT/?Hz. The smallest resolvable change in magnetic moment detected by this system in the band 10 Hz is 1 fJ/T.

Opis:
Paper presents a novel idea of capacitive sensor for human presence detection. Due to the use of resonant circuit significant increase of sensor's sensitivity was achieved. In the case of human hand, value of output signal changes up to 421per cent. Moreover, sensor creates possibility of determination of the material of the detected object. As a result developed sensor can be applied for human presence detection sensors utilized in safety systems, which are especially suitable for underground transportation network.

Opis:
The paper describes the results of quadrocopters motion properties for the control based on the inverse dynamics method and optimal control method with synthesis linear-quadratic regulator (LQR). Motion of quadrocopters is tested for composite trajectories. The new model of asymmetrical quadrocopters, taking into account the rotation and shift of one arm relative to the other, was developed. A few criteria for evaluation of the effectiveness of control methods of quadrocopters are presented in this paper. An analysis of the results allows selecting a method for solving the problem of quadrocopters control and making recommendations for the formation of trajectories.

To apply a spinning hemisphere as a mobile robot drive is an unconventional idea. Equipping a mobile robot with two such hemispheres brings to life a device with absolutely novel properties. In this paper we derive kinematics models of a mobile robot with two driving hemispheres, analyse shortly their properties, and adopt a control algorithm designed to follow a path. There are two kinematics models presented: the full model of the original system, and the model of the simplified system, equivalent to the original one. The second model is expressed in two different coordinate systems – the later allowing for the application of known control algorithms to drive the robot. The performance of the analysed algorithm is illustrated by computer simulations

A novel method for real-time coordinated trajectory planning and obstacle avoidance of autonomous mobile robot systems is presented. The desired autonomous system trajectories are generated from a set of first order ODEs. The solution to this system of ODEs converges to either a desired target position or a closed orbit de.ned by a limit cycle. Coordinated control is achieved by utilizing the nature of limit cycles where independent, non-crossing paths are automatically generated from different initial positions that smoothly converge to the desired closed orbits. Real-time obstacle avoidance is achieved by specifying a transitional elliptically shaped closed orbit around the nearest obstacle blocking the path. This orbit determines an alternate trajectory that avoids the obstacle. When the obstacle no longer blocks a direct path to the original target trajectory, a transitional trajectory that returns to the original path is defined. The coordination and obstacle avoidance methods are demonstrated experimentally using differential-drive wheeled mobile robots.

Recent development of SPICE, FEM and MoM software often requires the fast and reliable description of BH saturation magnetization curve. In spite of the fact that physical models of BH saturation curve are very sophisticated, for technical purposes, such curve may be modelled by simplified equations. Paper presents the quantitative assessment of the quality of four technical models of BH saturation magnetization curve performed for four modern magnetic materials: constructional corrosion resistant steel, Mn-Zn ferrite, amorphous alloy with perpendicular anisotropy as well as Finemet-type nanocrystalline magnetic material. Presented results confirm reliability of the model as well as indicate that high-speed calculation may be done using arctangent function.

The paper presents experimental setup for testing of the three axis magnetoresisitive magnetometers for measurements of the magnetic field within the range of Earth's magnetic field. Measuring setup integrates three axis Helmholtz coils controlled by the specialized current source. The accuracy of magnetic field generated by the Helmholtz coils is up to 0.6% for the one direction. Presented experimental setup can be also applied for investigation and calibration of the other magnetometers utilizing magnetoresistive, Hall or fluxgate sensors.

W pracy rozpatrzono problem syntezy obserwatorów dodatnich liniowych układów dyskretnych ułamkowego rzędu. Wykorzystując podejście oparte na liniowych nierównościach macierzowych (LMI) sformułowano warunki istnienia dodatniego asymptotycznie stabilnego obserwatora. Podano warunki konieczne i wystarczające obserwowalności dodatnich dyskretnych układów ułamkowego rzędu. Rozważania zilustrowano przykładem symulacyjnym.
The paper is devoted to observer synthesis for linear positive fractional discrete-time systems. The problem of finding a nonnegative gain matrix of the observer such that the observer is positive and asymptotically stable is formulated and solved by the use of LMI method. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the observability for linear positive fractional discrete-time systems are formulated and proved. The proposed approach to computation the nonnegative gain matrix is illustrated by numerical example.

Next-generation of High-Speed Machining (HSM) systems demand advanced features such as intelligent control under uncertainty. This requires, in turn, an efficient administration and optimization of all system's resources towards a previously identified objective. This work presents an optimization system based on Markov Decision Process (MDP), where an intelligent control guides the actions of the operator in peripheral milling processes. Early results suggest that MDP framework can cope with this application, yielding several benefits, which are discussed in detail. Future work will address the full integration of the developed optimization scheme within a commercial machining center.

Opis:
An application of computer controlled fuel injection systems in vehicle engines and growing demands concerning toxic substances emission and fuel consumption was a main reason for OBD (On Board Diagnosis) development. In spite of a great technological development, only some tractors are equipped in diagnostic systems. On board diagnosis is strongly connected with emission demands and does not concern other important vehicle functions. In the developed mechatronic diagnostic system, based on generated consequences, four groups of defects are accepted: functional (uf), which inhibit performance, exhaust (ue), which causes increase toxic emissions, that jeopardize driving safety (us) and defects that affect engine performance (ud). The diagnostic system consists of a board computer with specialized programs, acquisition data modules working in CAN net with protocol DeviceNet, measuring sensors and actuators. In the paper accepted assumptions, and a structure of mechatronic system model and organization of a diagnostic program are presented.
Mimo dużego rozwoju technologicznego, tylko niektóre ciągniki kołowe są wyposażone w systemy diagnostyczne. Aktualnie stosowana diagnostyka pokładowa pojazdów jest silnie związana z wymaganiami emisyjnymi i nie obejmuje innych ważnych funkcji pojazdu. W tworzonym mechatronicznym systemie diagnostycznym ciągnika kołowego ze względu na możliwe skutki przyjęto cztery grupy uszkodzeń: funkcjonalne (uf) powodujące ograniczenie efektywności pracy, emisyjne (ue) wywołujące wzrost emisji związków toksycznych, zagrażające bezpieczeństwu ruchu (us) ciągnika oraz pogarszające jego dynamikę (ud). System diagnostyczny tworzy komputer pokładowy z wyspecjalizowanym oprogramowaniem, moduły akwizycji danych pracujące w sieci CAN z protokołem DeviceNet, czujniki pomiarowe (sensory) oraz elementy wykonawcze (aktuatory). W artykule przedstawiono przyjęte założenia, budowę modelu systemu mechatronicznego oraz organizację programu diagnostycznego.

Recent traceability requirements create necessity of organization of the food production process in the completely new way. This way of production organization is typical rather for large industry, than for traditional way of work at the rural areas. This fact generates tensions as well as resistance of the farmers, especially farmers working in traditional way. This paper presents new ideas of industrial application of automation standards and methodologies for reliable, robust and user-friendly food traceability system. Due to the high level of automation and application of industrial IT solutions together with multimodal data transmission, presented traceability system can be implemented in traditional food production farms and operated intuitively by personnel without specialized training. As a result application of presented system will signifi-cantly reduce tensions and resistance connected with implementation of new technologies in tradi-tional food production farms.

Scene recognition is a paramount task for autonomous systems that navigate in open scenarios. In order to achie ve high scene recognition performance it is necesary to use correct information. Therefore, data fusion is beco ming a paramount point in the design of scene recognition systems. This paper presents a scenery recognition system using a neural network hierarchical approach. The system is based on information fusion in indoor scenarios. The system extracts relevant information with respect to color and landmarks. Color information is related mainly to localization of doors. Landmarks are related to corner de tection. The corner detection method proposed in the pa per based on corner detection windows has 99% detection of real corners and 13.43% of false positives. The hierar chical neural systems consist on two levels. The first level is built with one neural network and the second level with two. The hierarchical neural system, based on feed for ward architectures, presents 90% of correct recognition in the first level in training, and 95% in validation. The first ANN in the second level shows 90.90% of correct recogni tion during training, and 87.5% in validation. The second ANN has a performance of 93.75% and 91.66% during training and validation, respectively. The total perfor mance of the systems was 86.6% during training, and 90% in validation.
