Opis:
Nuclear structure theory has recently undergone an unexpected “renaissance” that can be attributed to two factors: (a) Since 1989, experimental findings have indicated isotopic anomalies in “chemical systems” at energies well below the expected ~10 MeV nuclear level. (b) Since 2007, remarkable ab initio super-computer calculations of nuclear properties have been made under the assumption that nucleons have well-defined intranuclear positions (x ≤ 2 fm). Assuming a magnetic structure of nucleons consistent with classical physics, we have made related lattice calculations of nuclear binding energies and magnetic moments. Our results compare favorably with results from other Copenhagen-style nuclear models.

By modifying Ghahramany’s integrated nuclear binding energy formula with strong and weak interaction features, it is possible to approximate nuclear binding energy of isotopes with one unique energy coefficient and four terms. Considering even-odd corrections, shell corrections and other microscopic corrections, it seems possible to improve the accuracy. Based on our recent work and the proposed formulae, we are very confident to say that, quark structure helps in increasing nuclear binding energy and electroweak interaction helps in reducing nuclear binding energy.

Opis:
A modified integrated nuclear model (MINM) for calculating the binding energies of finite nuclei is proposed. The model is an improvement of the integrated nuclear model (INM) that was formulated based on the theory of quantum chromodynamics. MINM is a simple model that depends on the proton and neutron numbers, and a variable stability coefficient factor denoted by λ. The variable λ rectifies the inequality in the neutron to proton ratio that results from the increase in the size of the nucleus. The results of the binding fraction obtained from MINM were compared with the existing experimental data obtained from atomic mass evaluation tables, AME2016. It was found that, the root mean square deviation for the binding fractions obtained from MINM is 0.2267 MeV with respect to the experimental data, while the root mean square deviation for the binding fraction obtained from INM is 1.5801 MeV. The root mean square deviation for MINM is very small. This supports the validity of the MINM and the consequent accuracy in the values of the binding fraction for different nuclei, especially in the region whereby A>220.

Knowledge of radionuclides concentrations in environmental media (such as common plants species) plays an important role in environmental protection and monitoring of any release of radioactivity to the environment. The activity concentrations and distribution of natural radionuclides in plants samples grown at scrap yard (A) (Al-Tuwaitha Nuclear Site) were investigated in this study. The measurements were carried out using gamma-ray spectrometry system (high purity germanium detector). The average and range of the activity concentrations of 226Ra and 40K were 0.19 (BDL to 2.92 Bq/kg) and 660.86 (510 to 796.49 Bq/kg). The radium equivalent activity, absorbed dose rate, annual effective dose equivalent, external and internal hazard indices were estimated and compared with internationally recommended values. The results of radiological hazards assessment obtained in this study indicated that the investigated plants species grown at the studied area have natural radioactivity levels well within internationally recommended limits.

Opis:
The aim of this research is to study the effect of the nuclear spectrum that is found in a new synthetic belt manufactured from a rubber composite with water and salt absorbed proprieties suitable for medical, sport and everyday wear. Rubber pastes from Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR), were prepared in the laboratory by mixing different proportions. The hardness, time of swelling, mass and volume for pure NBR were measured, then four mixtures of (PEG-CMC) were added in the form of gels and powders as polymer composites to absorbed water by creating porosities inside the rubber. This model was examined by means of a sodium iodide detector in order to determine the proportion of radiation within the installation material. The results were all within the allowable limits globally.

Opis:
The subject of this thesis is a digital approach to the investigation of the digital basis of digital nuclear shell model. The shell model is partly analogous to the atomic shell model which describes the arrangement of electrons in an atom, in that a filled shell results in greater stability. When adding nucleons to a nucleus, there are certain points where the binding energy of the next nucleon is significantly less than the last one. Magic numbers of nucleons: 2, 8, 20, 28, 50, 82, 126 which are more tightly bound than the next higher number, is the origin of the shell model. “In a three-dimensional harmonic oscillator the total degeneracy at level n is [wzór]. Due to the spin, the degeneracy is doubled and is (n+1)(n+2). Thus the magic numbers would be [wzór] for all integer k. This gives the following magic numbers: 2,8,20,40,70,112..., which agree with experiment only in the first three entries. These numbers are twice the tetrahedral numbers (1,4,10,20,35,56...) from the Pascal Triangle”. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_shell_model. The digital mechanism of shell model have been analyzed by the application of cybernetic methods, information theory and system theory, respectively. This paper is to report that we discovered new methods for development of the new technologies in nuclear physics and chemistry. It is about the most advanced digital technology which is based on program, cybernetics and informational systems and laws. The results in practical application of the new technology could be useful in physics, chemistry, bioinformatics, and other natural sciences.

Sealed can technique using CR-39 plastic track detector strippable has been used in order to measure radon concentrations to calculate the annual effective dose and lung cancer cases per year per million person for twenty different brand tobacco cigarette were collected from Iraqi market. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Radon exposure is the second leading cause of lung cancer, following tobacco smoke. Radon is not only an independent risk factor; it also increases the risk of lung cancer in smokers. It has been observed that tobacco smoking increases the risks of radon-induced lung cancer. Radon and cigarette smoking have synergistic, multiplicative effect on lung cancer rates. People who inhale tobacco smoke are exposed to higher concentrations of radioactivity. Ever since studies on the relation of smoking to cancer, particularly the lung cancer has been established, there had been a great interest in studies concerned with the monitoring of the alpha radioactivity in tobacco. The results showed that the 222Rn concentrations in cigarette tobacco samples ranged from (156.450 to 403.087) Bq/m3 with an average 284.751 Bq/m3, while the radon induced lung cancer risks was found to vary from 71.047 to 183.049 with an av¬erage value of 129.3107 per million person, and standard deviation 83.529 and 37.932, respectively. Excellent correlation has been observed between radon concentration and lung cancer cases per year per million person for different brand tobacco cigarettes.

This paper presents a possible origin of dark energy, which is believed to be the cause of accelerated expansion rate of the cosmos with the aid of superstring theory and the observed matter-antimatter asymmetry. It proposes a model in which the antimatter, and particularly antiquarks, occupies the Calabi-Yau manifold in six dimensions and thus attracts the quarks via ‘gluons’. This phenomenon creates an illusionary vision. This paper also provides a conceivable explanation of the observed matter-antimatter asymmetry in the visible universe.

The study of hematological parameters is an important method of studying the health of fish in ecosystems that are exposed to the negative impact of the environment. In this work, we determined the presence of pathological changes in the red blood cells of the crucian carp of the Samara River under conditions of anthropogenic stress. The object of the study were six-year-old individuals of both sexes of silver crucian carp (Carassius gibelio (Bloch, 1782)). Morphological studies of erythrocytes were performed on blood smears, which were stained according to the method of Romanovsky-Gimza. During the analysis of the obtained data, the presence of cells with pathologies and the nature of these pathologies were determined. As a result of the conducted researches pathologies of erythrocytes which arise at toxicological poisoning of fish by heavy metals and organic compounds have been revealed. Were also recorded at all experimental points the pathologies indicating active adaptation of fish to environmental stressors.

Opis:
Till date, it is well-known that synthetic pyrethroids are safe to mammal but toxic to non-mammals. The present objective was an in silico study to detect oral acute toxicity, organ toxicity, immunotoxicity, genetic toxicity endpoints, nuclear receptor signalling, and stress response pathways of common synthetic pyrethroids by using ProTox-II webserver. The chemical compounds especially different synthetic pyrethroids such as pyrethrin I, Cinerin I and Jasmolin I (esters of Chrysanthemic acid), Pyrethrin-II, Cinerin II and Jasmolin II (Esters of Pyrethric acid), type I pyrethroids (esters without alpha-cyano group) such as allethrin, resmethrin, permethrin and bifenthrin and type II pyrethroids (esters with alpha-cyano group) such as fenvalerate, cyhalothrin, cypermethrin and deltamethrinwere selected from available literature. ProTox-II webserver was used for toxicological assessment in organism, organs, cell and gene level along with molecular mechanisms of toxicity. The predictive results for the toxicity of common synthetic pyrethroids compounds, Deltamethrin showed highly toxic compound among 14 compounds as fatal if swallowed as class II followed by Cypermethrin, Cyhalothrin, Bifenthrin, Resmethrin, Fenvalerate and Permethrin but hepatotoxic potential was only Deltamethrin and Fenvalerate while immunotoxic was obtained Permethrin. On the other hand, none of the compounds were obtained cytotoxic and carcinogenic but 9 compounds viz. Pyrethrin I, II Cinerin I, II, Jasmolin I, II, Allethrin, Resmethrin and Permethrin were observed mutagenic active. In case of NR signalling pathways, all compounds were inactive but eight compounds such as Pyrethrin I, II, Cinerin I, II, Jasmolin I, II, Allethrin and Resmethrin were obtained nrf2/ARE and HSE active while MMP active compounds were obtained Fenvalerate, Cyhalothrin and Deltamethrin respectively. For p53 and ATAD5 parameters, all fourteen compounds such as were obtained inactive. In conclusion, the present predictive results are suitable for academician, researchers, industries, etc. those who are making drugs and environmental chemicals. This web server helps faster screening of large numbers of compounds within short duration and no animal testing. This present in silico study easily detects toxin(s), which can be validated in future through in vitro and in vivo experimental assay.
