Opis:
To achieve high-efficiency and stable brake of a front-and-rear-motor-drive electric vehicle (FRMDEV) with parallel cooperative braking system, a multi-objective optimal model for brake force distribution is created based on radial basis function (RBF). First of all, the key factors, which are the coefficient of brake force distribution between the front and rear shafts, the coefficient of brake force distribution at wheels, the coefficient of regenerative brake force distribution between front and rear axles, that influence the brake stability and energy recovery of the FRMDEV are analyzed, the fitness functions of brake stability and energy recovery are established. Secondly, the maximum allowed regenerative brake torque influenced by the state of charge of battery is confirmed, the correction model of the optimal distribution coefficient of regenerative brake force is created according to motor temperatures. Thirdly, based on HALTON sequence method, a two-factor database, vehicle velocity and brake strength, that characterizes vehicle operation is designed. Then an off-line response database of the optimal brake force distribution is established with the use of particle swarm optimization (PSO). Furthermore, based on hybrid RBF, the function model of the factor database and the response database is established, and the accuracy of the model is analyzed. Specially, the correlation coefficient is 0.995 and the predictive error variance is within the range between 0.000155 and 0.00018. The both indicate that the multi-objective distribution model has high accuracy. Finally, a hardware-in-loop test platform is designed to verify the multi-objective optimal brake force distribution model. Test results show that the real-time performance of the model can meet the demand of engineering application. Meanwhile, it can achieve both the brake stability and energy recovery. In comparison with the original brake force distribution model based on the rule algorithm, the optimized one proposed in this paper is able to improve the energy, recovered into battery, by 14.75%.

Opis:
A “rock bridge”, defined as the closest distance between two joints in a rock mass, is an important feature affecting the jointed rock mass strength. Artificial jointed rock specimens with two parallel joint fractures were tested under uniaxial compression and numerical simulations were carried out to study the effects of the inclination of the rock bridge, the dip angle of the joint, rock bridge length, and the length of joints on the strength of the jointed rock mass. Research results show: (1) When the length of the joint fracture, the length of the rock bridge, and the inclination of the rock bridge stay unchanged, the uniaxial compressive strength of the specimen gradually increases as the inclination of the joint fracture increases from 0° to 90°. (2) When the length of the joint fracture, the length of the rock bridge, and the inclination of the joint fracture stay unchanged, the uniaxial compressive strength of the specimen shows variations in trends with the inclination of the rock bridge increasing from 30° to 150° (3). In the case when the joint is angled from the vertical loading direction, when the dip angle of the joint fracture, the inclination of the rock bridge, and the length of the rock bridge stay unchanged, the uniaxial compressive strength of the specimen gradually decreases with an increasing length of joint fracture. When the dip angle of the joint fracture, the inclination of the rock bridge, and the length of the joint fracture stay unchanged, the uniaxial compressive strength of the specimen does not show a clear trend with an increase of the length of the rock bridge.

This communication reports detection of somaclonal variation among tissue culture-raised plants of Amorphophallus rivieri Durieu, an economically important crop in China, with high content of glucomannan in its corms. A population of regenerated plants was obtained from a single donor plant of A. rivieri via corm organogenesis, and 28 plants were randomly selected as a representative sample and subjected to analysis of somaclonal variation using inter-simple sequence repeat (ISSR) markers. Of the 26 ISSR primers screened, 13 gave distinct and reproducible band patterns, yielding 131 bands with an average of 10.1 bands per primer. Ten primers were polymorphic and generated 16 polymorphic bands with 12.2% mean polymorphism. Based on the ISSR data from the regenerated plants and the donor plant, Jaccard's similarity coefficients were calculated; they ranged from 0.961 to 1.000 with a mean of 0.982. A dendrogram was constructed using the unweighted pair group method with arithmetic mean (UPGMA); it showed that a majority of regenerated plants (including the donor plant) clustered closely, with a mean similarity coefficient of 0.987. Low somaclonal variation observed in the regenerated plants indicates that rapid propagation of A. rivieri via corm organogenesis is a practicable method with a low risk of genetic instability.

The permanent magnet in-wheel motor (PMIWM) is a nonlinear, multivariable, strongly coupled and highly complex system. The key to the development and application of the PMIWM consists in the improvement of its control accuracy and dynamic performance. In order to effectively decouple the PMIWM, this paper presents a novel internal model control (IMC) approach based on the back-propagation neural network inverse (BPNNI) control method. First, theoretical analysis is conducted to show the existence of the PMIWM inverse system, to be modeled mathematically. The inverse system approximated and identified by the back-propagation neural network (BPNN) constitutes the back-propagation neural network inverse (BPNNI) system. Then, by cascading the BPNNI system on the left side of the original PMIWM system, a new decoupling, pseudo-linear system is established. Moreover, the 2-DOF internal model control (IMC) method is employed to design the extra closed-loop controller that further improves disturbance rejection and robustness of the whole system. Consequently, the proposed decoupling control approach incorporates the advantages of both the BPNNI and the IMC. Effectiveness of thus proposed control approach is verified by means of simulation and real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) experiments.

As the very important parts of the expressway system, on and off ramps have a great effect on the operation effect of expressways. Once congestion occurs at on and off ramps, it will directly affect the safety of the expressway and vehicles. So this paper first analyzes the location design of on ramps, the length and the influences on the expressway running state of off ramp downstream traffic state, and establishes the expressway operation models based at on and off ramps. The expressway operation models include off ramp delay model, on ramp delay model, expressway delay model and side road delay model under the influence of the distance between on and off ramp and traffic volume. At the same time, the paper analyzes the connection between the traffic operation state and traffic safety, and establishes the expressway safety model based on congestion degree. Through simulation verification, the impact of on and off ramp on the security of the expressway is analyzed. In the simulation, safety rank division is simulated to verify and safety index of different safety ranks. Finally the paper concludes that the delay caused by traffic of the on and off ramps can decrease the safety of expressway.

In this paper, a new type of interior composite-rotor bearingless permanent magnet synchronous motors (BPMSMs) with two layer permanent magnets (PMs) is proposed. In order to reduce the torque ripple of this kind of motors, the sizes of PMs are optimized. Moreover, the magnetic field analysis of the interior composite-rotor BPMSM with two layer PMs is carried out by the finite element method (FEM). The corresponding static electronic magnetic characteristics at no load, including magnetic field, PM flux linkage and inductance, are studied in detail. In addition, electromagnetic torque characteristics and suspension force characteristics are also investigated thoroughly. The results of the analysis and simulation lay a significant foundation for further research on the interior composite-rotor BPMSMs with two layer PMs.

This paper analyses advances in design and manufacturing methodology based on system modularisation in the automotive and building & construction industries and offers novel, fully validated technology for modules assembly by adhesive bonding. It is shown, how application of appropriate modularisation methodology through sub-division of the entire system into principal system platform and independent functional or stylistic modules enables identification of components common to an entire family of product, and those which facilitate product re-configuration and stylings. The latter category of subcomponents are easily integrated into the final structure by mounting onto the principal system platform through interfaces facilitating rapid assembly and/or disassembly of the product. Through adoption of modularisation, the pivotal structure elements such as automotive framing systems or high-rise building’s curtain wall framing and cladding can be quickly and cost effectively designed, re-designed when needed (for instance for re-styling or refurbishing) and cost-effectively reconfigured through assembly of a variety of designated sub-systems onto the principal system platform. Another aspect of this paper discusses and validates a feasible technology facilitating for surface modification of typical engineering substrate materials (plastics, composites, metals and ceramics) for rapid assembly of structures through adhesive bonding of decorative and/or functional cladding and vision panels to curtain wall structures of high-rise commercial or residential buildings. An identical approach to applications in rapid assembly of automotive modular systems will be presented in the forthcoming paper.
W pracy zawarto analizę postępu w metodach projektowania i produkcji opartych na zasadzie systemów modułowych w motoryzacji oraz budownictwie, również technologię montażu za pomocą połączeń klejonych. Przedstawiono, w jaki sposób przyjęcie odpowiednich modułów poprzez podział całego systemu wpływa na podstawową platformę montażową oraz autonomiczne moduły funkcjonalne i stylistyczne. Umożliwiona jest wówczas identyfikacja elementów wspólnych dla całej rodziny produktów, także pozwalających na przekształcenie lub stylizację wyrobu. Moduły autonomiczne są łatwo integrowalne w produkty finalne poprzez montaż na podstawowej platformie montażowej przez zastosowanie połączeń standardowych – umożliwiają szybki montaż i/lub demontaż. Wykorzystanie modułowych, kluczowych elementów konstrukcji, jak rama zawieszenia samochodu lub ściana osłonowa wysokościowca i płyty ościenne pozwala na przekształcanie, szybkie i tanie projektowanie, również przeprojektowywanie (np. dla nowej stylizacji lub odnowienia budynku), oraz przekształcanie poprzez montaż różnych nowo projektowanych podsystemów na głównej platformie montażowej systemu. Odrębny fragment pracy omawia łatwą do wprowadzenia technologię modyfikacji powierzchni typowych materiałów inżynierskich (polimery, kompozyty, metale i ceramika) dla szybkiego montażu konstrukcji poprzez klejenie ozdobnych lub funkcjonalnych paneli ościennych lub szkła do ram ścian osłonowych wysokich budynków mieszkalnych i komercyjnych. Identyczne podejście w zastosowaniu do szybkiego montażu samochodowych systemów modułowych będzie przedstawione w kolejnym artykule.

Avian pathogenic Escherichia coli (APEC) infections are a very important problem in the poultry industry. PhoP-PhoQ is a two-component system that regulates virulence genes in APEC. In this study, we constructed strains that lacked the PhoP or PhoQ genes to assess regulation of APEC pathogenicity by the PhoP-PhoQ two-component system. The PhoP mutant strain AE18, PhoQ mutant strain AE19, and PhoP/PhoQ mutant strain AE20 were constructed by the Red homologous recombination method. Swim plates were used to evaluate the motility of the APEC strains, viable bacteria counting was used to assess adhesion and invasion of chick embryo fibroblasts, and Real-Time PCR was used to measure mRNA expression of virulence genes. We first confirmed that AE18, AE19, and AE20 were successfully constructed from the wild-type AE17 strain. AE18, AE19, and AE20 showed significant decreases in motility of 70.97%, 83.87%, and 37.1%, respectively, in comparison with AE17. Moreover, in comparison with AE17, AE18, AE19, and AE20 showed significant decreases of 63.11%, 65.42%, and 30.26%, respectively, in CEF cell adhesion, and significant decreases of 59.83%, 57.82%, and 37.90%, respectively, in CEF cell invasion. In comparison with AE17, transcript levels of sodA, polA, and iss were significantly decreased in AE18, while transcript levels of fimC and iss were significantly decreased in AE19. Our results demonstrate that deletion of PhoP or PhoQ inhibits invasion and adhesion of APEC to CEF cells and significantly reduces APEC virulence by regulating transcription of virulence genes.

The combined effect of sulfur (S) and acid soluble aluminum (Als ) content on precipitates and microstructures in grain-oriented silicon steel were investigated. The results show that there are dominant AlN and a little amount of MnS-AlN composite in annealed hot-rolled band, and the amount of precipitates increases distinctly with increasing Als content, while S content plays a negligible role. The inhibitors that precipitate during hot band annealing can restrain the grain growth during hot band annealing and primary annealing, and the smaller grains of annealed hot-rolled band can contribute to the formation of {111} <112> texture during primary annealing. Lower S content is conducive to the formation of {111} <112> texture during primary annealing by promoting the formation of Goss texture during hot rolling.

This study investigates a digital control system which is used in bearingless permanent magnet synchronous motors (BPMSMs). Compared with traditional permanent magnet synchronous motors, a BPMSM is characterized by higher speed and no mechanic friction. Therefore, the application value of the latter to the special area is higher than that of the former. An analysis from previous work on the BPMSM had proved its feasibility, and some performances such as suspension force, inductance and so on were also investigated. Based on this analysis, this study focuses on solving control problems in practical applications by designing a control system. The control system design includes overall schematic, hardware and software designs. Main software systems, including the force/current transform module and closed loop control module for radial displacement, are analyzed. Interface circuit for radial displacement, current feedback circuit and dead zone protection circuit are designed for the hardware system. Finally, several performance experiments have been conducted to verify the effectiveness of the designed digital control system. Experiment results indicate that the rotor has unique characteristics, such as stable suspension performance, good start-of-suspension performance, and rapid anti-disturbance features.
