    Opis:
    Localisation and morphology of myocardial bridges in the heart of domestic pig remain an open issue. Since these structures significantly influence haemodynamics in the coronary arteries, their occurance may lead to numerous pathologies. In the examined group of 150 domestic pig’s hearts, myocardial bridges were diagnosed in 47.3% of the material, mostly in males. In majority of cases the bridges were present above the posterior interventricular branch of the right coronary artery, less often above the anterior interventricular branch of the left coronary artery, and seldom above other blood vessels. The presence of myocardial bridges usually referred to the medial and initial segments of the arteries examined.

    Opis:
    The morphology of myocardial bridges (MB) in the heart of the domestic pig remain an open issue. Despite numerous analyses of the subject, many controversies still exist. Opinions also differ when the influence of the MB on haemodynamic processes in the coronal vessel system is concerned. In the examined group of 150 domestic pig's hearts, the length of the detected MB varied from 1.8 to 39.7 mm while their thickness amounted to 0.8 - 4.7 mm. Both the longest and the thickest bridges were connected with the posterior interventricular branch. It was noticed that the MB muscle bands cross the long axis of the vessels located in the grooves mostly at almost a right angle. Three forms of perivascular space were educed using the criterion of the distance of the vessel from the surrounding muscularis externa.

    Opis:
    This paper deals with stabilization and tracking control problems defined with respect to a planar mechanical structure similar to Raibert’s robot. The proposed control solution is based on formal analysis of the control system on a Lie group. In order to take advantage of Lie group theory a dynamic extension of the robot kinematics is introduced. To cope with non-zero angular momentum the controller based on transverse functions is employed. Properties of the closed-loop control system are investigated based on simulations including practical stabilization at neighborhood of a constant point or a reference trajectory.

    The paper presents the application of a smooth kinematic algorithm to control multi-body vehicle which consists of the unicyclelike tractor with three trailers. The controller takes advantage of the transverse functions and properties of the IV-order two input chained system. The derivation of the algorithm is presented in details. In order to improve the performance of the controller in the real application a selected tuning techniques are discussed. The properties of the closed-loop control system are examined based on results of numerical simulations concerning the point stabilization and trajectory tracking tasks.

    Opis:
    This paper is focused on the convergence problem defined for some class of a two input affine nonholonomic driftless system with three-dimensional state. The problem is solved based on a polar transformation which is singular at the origin. The convergence is ensured using static-state feedback. The necessary conditions for construction of the algorithm are formally discussed. The solution, in general, is local, and the feasible domain is strictly related to the properties of the control system. In order to improve algorithm robustness a simple hybrid algorithm is formulated. The general theory is illustrated by two particular systems and the results of numerical simulations are provided.

    The paper presents a localization system for a mobile robot using the vision system and LED markers and considers the problem of velocity and acceleration estimation in the case of planar motions. Theoretical considerations include the principle of measurement and the details of Kalman estimator with illustrations based on experimental setup. The presented measurement system can be used for a realization of advanced control algorithms for skid-steering mobile robots where significant slippage phenomenon appears.

    The tests reported in this paper were carried out to evaluate the exposure of soldiers to noise at operator and control positions during military field exercises. The tests were conducted during firing from a T-72 tank, a BWP-1 Infantry Fighting Vehicle, antitank guided missiles, a ZU-23-2K anti-aircraft gun, and a 2S1 GOZDZIK howitzer. The evaluation of noise exposure showed that the limit values of sound pressure level, referred to by both Polish occupational noise protection standards and the Pfander and Dancer hearing damage risk criteria developed for military applications, were repeatedly exceeded at the tested positions. Despite of the use of tank crew headgear, the exposure limit values of sound pressure level were exceeded for the crew members of the T-72 tank, the BWP-1 infantry fighting vehicle, and the 2S1 GOZDZIK howitzer. The results show that exposure of soldiers to noise during military field exercises is a potentially high hearing risk factor.
