Current technological progress and the evolution of a great number of new trends in software development for smartphones, causes a lot of doubts and questions about the security aspect of contemporary mobile systems. There are a lot of everyday situations, which, if underestimated, can put highly sensitive data in danger. The paper presents various strategies in providing security of data for mobile devices' users.

Purpose: The article attempts to show that the effective marketing is a key condition for achieving large profits in mobile app development. Design/methodology/approach: Promising IT projects can, very often, end in a disaster if people do not choose the right strategy of sales. There are many promotional activities available as well. This study investigates different types of business models that are currently used in the marketing of mobile applications. Findings: Different types of business models will be compared with their effectiveness and popularity. In addition, the advantages and disadvantages of different strategies will be reviewed. Moreover, aspects, which influence the final revenue from the application, will also be shown. Originality/value: The entire discussion and the selection of the best strategy will be summarized.

Purpose: The publication aims are to present bank innovations as one of the types of financial innovations, discuss the main directions of changes in this area, and present selected products of modern banking. Design/methodology/approach: The implementation of the main objective adopted was possible due to the separation of the theoretical and practical parts in the article. The theoretical discussion was based on the method of analysis and criticism of the literature in the field of financial innovation. In turn, the empirical part, which is definitely the greater part of the article, was developed using simple statistical methods. The task of the adopted methods was to analyze quantitative data on the Polish mobile banking market. The article was based on information obtained from the reports of the Polish Bank Association and information available on the websites of the surveyed commercial banks. These data were used to diagnose the specifics of mobile banking in Poland. Findings: The obtained research results showed the importance of mobile applications not only from the point of view of the commercial bank but also the client. For banks, activity in the field of using mobile applications is an important source of acquiring a potential customer. In turn, for the customer using mobile applications means easier access to banking services and products. Originality/value: The considerations contained in the article, which are a source of information about mobile banking applications, can be enforced by both banks and their potential clients. The presented research confirmed that mobile applications currently available to customers are of decisive importance for the success and development of banks. In addition, the factor determining the maintenance of a high level of competitiveness on the mobile banking market by banks is the provision of convenient and modern methods of transaction execution.

Praca dotyczy opracowania modelu obliczeniowego podestu ruchomego firmy HAULOTTE, typu H1150E. Model został opracowany z wykorzystaniem metody elementów skończonych MES, za pomocą programu SolidWorks. Stworzony model umożliwia zarówno analizę statyczną, jak i drgań swobodnych oraz stateczności obiektu dla dowolnie wybranych konfiguracji pracy i obciążenia obiektu. W pracy zamieszczono przykładowe wyniki przeprowadzonych obliczeń wytrzymałościowych oraz częstości i postaci drgań swobodnych dla kilku wybranych konfiguracji pracy oraz obciążenia obiektu. Artykuł zakończono wnioskami wynikającymi z przeprowadzonej analizy.
In this work the calculation model of mobile platform, type HAULOTTE - H1150E, and its strength analysis under work conditions have been completed. The model has been obtained by using finite element method with application of the SolidWorks package. The model can be useful as well in static, free vibration and stability analyses for any arbitrary chosen work configuration and load of the object. In the work the sample numerical results concerning the strength and free vibration analysis for the chosen platform work configuration have been presented. The conclusion concerning the analysis results have been added.

In the mobile platform structure, there is an increasing necessity to weld steels from the various groups. For instance, it has become necessary to connect AHSS (Advanced High-Strength Steel) with fine-grained steels. This article verifies the possibility of obtaining accurate mixed welded joints from different grades of DOCOL 1400 steel (from the AHSS group) with S700 MC steel (from the fine-grained steel group). The structure, quality and mechanical properties of the obtained welded joints were thoroughly analysed. The joints were made at various welding speed with preheating to 80°C and without preheating.

There is an increasing demand for mixed joints made of hard-weldable steels used in the construction of transport means. An illustration of this is the welding of movable platform elements such as a pin to arm joints. The pin is made of high-strength structural steel S690 QL (1.8928) while the arm of the movable platform is made of DOCOL 1200M steel from the AHSS group (Advanced High-Strength Steel). Such a joint is not easy to make due to the different chemical composition of both steels. The difference in thickness of welded elements creates an additional difficulty. The thickness of the cylindrical pin is 40 mm, whereas the thickness of the sheet metal used for the platform arm is much smaller and amounts to 2 mm. Joints of varying thickness and chemical composition tend to produce cracks in the heat-affected zone as well as in the weld. The purpose of this article is to determine the most appropriate welding parameters and the selection of additional materials to obtain correct joint with good mechanical properties, free of welding defects and incompatibilities.

In the construction of mobile platforms, there is an increasing necessity to weld steels from the AHSS group (AHSS - Advanced High-Strength Steel) with low-alloy steels. This article verifies the possibility of obtaining accurate mixed welded joints from different grades of AHSS steel with S355J2 steel. The structure, as well as mechanical properties of the obtained welded joints, were thoroughly analysed.

Purpose: This paper is devoted to elderly people and their interaction with smartphones. The analysis of the state of the art inspired the formulation of research questions related to interaction of elderly people with smartphones, e.g. how do they input data or how do they start the SOS signal. Design/methodology/approach: In order to answer the research questions, an electronic questionnaire was prepared and executed. The survey consisted of 11 questions and was completed by 40 people. Findings: The conducted research has shown that seniors are increasingly using smartphones for a variety of tasks, including (among others) text messaging and multimedia. Originality/value: The presented research is the most current research on the behaviour of seniors using smartphones on the Polish market. The obtained results can be used, among others, when designing applications and devices for seniors.

Purpose: Progressing digitization of the economy leads to the emergence of a new type of consumer, called digital consumer, who has specific needs and requirements for offers. The enterprises are forced to look for new solutions that meet the specific expectations. The objective of the paper is to identify the specific requirements of digital consumers as potential inspirations for innovative marketing solutions. Design/methodology/approach: The following research question was formulated: what requirements of digital consumers are the source of innovative products offered by modern enterprises? Review of the literature on the subject, analysis of research results on the specifics of digital consumers and their requirements for bidders, review of innovative offers of enterprises that meet the expectations of digital consumers are methods that have been used in the paper. Findings: The main expectations of digital consumers relate to personalization as well as fast and efficient service. Digital consumers are impatient, they expect an immediate and effective response to their individual needs. Practical implications: These studies could relate to assessing the degree of preparation of enterprises to service digital consumers and meeting their specific expectations, as well as the level of satisfaction of digital consumers with innovative solutions. Originality/value: Specific requirements of digital consumers have been identified as potential sources of innovative marketing solutions for enterprises.

Purpose: The purpose of the paper is to present the research on reliability of mobile applications in distributed systems. Design/methodology/approach: Ensuring the reliable operation of the software created for Android OS is related to ensuring compatibility with different versions of the systems. The use of various security policies, formal and structural requirements in various Android releases results in a high failure rate of dedicated programs. Findings: There is, therefore, a need to implement new testing methods. Originality/value: The article proposes a method of software reliability analysis dedicated to distributed systems. The developed solution is based on concurrency using the actor model. As part of the research, the effectiveness of the developed solutions was evaluated.

Opis:
The paper presents the possibilities of using light alloy components in vehicle construction. Material 6082 was chosen for use in responsible structural components. The structure and strength parameters of the material in the delivery state were tested. Tested material parameters were compared with normative requirements. The purpose of the paper is to check the mechanical properties of aluminum alloy welded joints by various processes and parameters. Until now, welding of 6082 alloy did not give good and repeatable results. Because of that, two welding methods were analyzed (MIG and TIG) in the field of the quality of welds, strength of welded joints, and material structures obtained as a result of welding with various parameters.

The development of modern technologies has enabled unlimited possibilities for contemporary people in the sphere of education, information, communication or entertainment. There have been significant progress and development in many areas of human life. However, the positive changes which contributed to the improvement of the social life quality, at the same time, brought many behaviors threatening health. The long list of risks is constantly growing and it is not expected to decrease. The problem of cellular addiction occurs more often and gains in power. Excessive and improper use of mobile phones poses many threats to physical, cognitive, emotional or social development and may lead to a phonoholism - i.e. a phenomenon that may result in withdrawal from social life, loss of contact with the family or persistent sleep disorders. As the mobile phone is today the basic subject, which is used by people of all ages, increasingly also the youngest, several-year-old children should become an educational challenge for parents and teachers. Therefore, there is a great need for extensive prevention of health and promotion of media competences for the digital society in order to make conscious, safe, responsible and critical use of tools that facilitate communication, learning and playing.

Vehicle onboard travel planning systems have been developed in recent years. Since the development of GPS-based devices equipped with digital mapping applications for many vehicles, route planning has become easier and more convenient for drivers. Although such systems are used by drivers, for delivery or courier companies, it is especially important to provide a high-quality service, which involves the timely delivery of goods. Traffic management authorities are also interested in acquiring data on road and traffic conditions to verify the effectiveness and smoothness of the flow of vehicles. This paper proposes a method for traffic data collection and an application for recording data of variable factors having impact on a vehicle speed in cities and agglomerations. Data acquisition and identification of factors having impact on reduction of vehicle speed in the cities has been presented for a case study of Gliwice. The results can be useful for traffic management authorities, municipal traffic, road planning departments and mobile apps designers.

This paper describes an investigation of the dynamic stability, which is specified for the mobile working machines. There are presented the basic theoretical principles of the stability theory together with an introduction of two illustrative examples of the dynamic stability analysis.
Niniejszy artykuł opisuje badanie stabilności dynamicznej ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem jezdnych maszyn roboczych. Opisano w nim podstawowe teoretyczne zasady teorii stabilności wraz z przedstawieniem dwóch przypadków ilustrujących analizę stabilności dynamicznej.
