    W artykule przedstawiono problematykę relacyjnych aspektów klimatu organizacyjnego determinujących poziom zadowolenia odczuwanego przez pracowników. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na zależności między specyfiką relacji horyzontalnych a odczuwanym przez pracowników zadowoleniem. Na podstawie wyników badań pierwotnych zidentyfikowano opinie respondentów dotyczące ich zadowolenia oraz odczuć związanych z klimatem organizacyjnym.
    In the article the problem of relationship aspects of organizational climate determining the level of employees’ contentment was presented. The special attention was paid to links between horizontal relations and employees’ contentment. On the base of the results of the field researches the respondents’ opinions about their contentment and the organizational climate were identified.

    Opis:
    The purpose of the paper is to assess the impact of the emotional intelligence of employees and mangers on the organisational climate in a business entity. An analysis of the literature of the subject demonstrated that the emotional intelligence of team members is one of many factors affecting the climate in an organisation. Since the issue has not been sufficiently investigated so far, a need arises to diagnose the level of the emotional intelligence in project team members on a person-by-person basis, agree on the degree to which the intelligence can be developed and improve and work out the development paths for employees on an individual basis not only with regard to their technical but also social competence, including general development-oriented training. The findings presented in the paper are important for the actions taken to develop the emotional intelligence of employees/managers in the social and vocational learning process.
    Celem artykułu jest ocena wpływu inteligencji emocjonalnej pracowników i menedżerów na klimat organizacyjny w przedsiębiorstwie. Analiza literatury przedmiotu wykazała, że inteligencja emocjonalna członków zespołu stanowi jeden z wielu czynników kształtujących klimat w organizacji. Ponieważ problem ten nie został do tej pory dostatecznie rozpoznany, pojawia się potrzeba zdiagnozowania poziomu inteligencji emocjonalnej u poszczególnych członków zespołu, ustalenia, w jakim stopniu można tę inteligencję rozwijać, doskonalić, i opracowania ścieżki rozwoju dla poszczególnych pracowników nie tylko w ramach kompetencji merytorycznych, lecz także społecznych, obejmującej szkolenia ogólnorozwojowe. Ustalenia zaprezentowane w niniejszym artykule mają znaczenie dla podejmowania działań rozwijających inteligencję emocjonalną pracowników/menedżerów w procesie uczenia się społecznego i zawodowego.

    Purpose: On the basis of their own research, the authors of the article undertook to determine the factors determining future social and economic development and to develop recommendations for strengthening active economic, social and labour market policies in mining municipalities and districts in Poland – in the perspective of the "European Green Deal" plan and "Just Transition" Design/methodology: the results presented in the article were obtained on the basis of the implementation of questionnaire research, expert interviews, literature review, critical literature analysis, documentation analysis, statistical descriptive analysis. Findings: As a result of the analyses and surveys carried out, the article presents an extensive set of conclusions, the most important of which are those relating to social. The presented attempt of the prospective approach to the phenomena and processes which may result from the transformation of the hard coal mining in Poland is aimed at better understanding of the role which may be fulfilled in the future by the local self-government in the area of which the operating or disused mines and mining enterprises are located. Secondly which are related to the perspective of the hard coal mining transformation process, first of all showed terms the scale of challenges faced by mining municipalities. The indicated processes are nowadays dominated by the challenge of creating new ecological solutions of high quality both in the sphere of their social acceptance in the utilitarian dimension. It is a process that allows for a better understanding of the role of local government in the transformation process, which will probably take up, in a fragmentary way, economic, social and environmental challenges resulting from the contemporary development of economy based on knowledge and determined by the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Originality: the findings and recommendations of the study may become relevant for practitioners and researchers dealing with climate change mitigation, strategy implementation, cross-sectoral partnerships and sustainable development of transformed areas.

    The network configuration includes the row of aspects associated with location of the organizations, business models of cooperating organizations and relations models. Decisions on the structure of the relation depend on exogenous and endogenous factors (climate of cooperation). It was a purpose of the article examination of the impact of the climate of cooperation to the network configuration with particular reference to of models of the cooperation.

    Purpose: The paper presents the issues related to the development of electronic commerce. Design/methodology/approach: The study used world-bank reports from statista portal. Findings: The purpose of this article is to present the development of electronic commerce and investment climate of Poland on the example of Lower Silesia created by economic, social, political and legal-administrative conditions. The economic conditions inform the foreign investor about the condition of the economy of the country receiving the investment. Functioning types of e-business and basic business models used in e-commerce were also presented. Furthermore, they were characterized by payment methods used in online sales. Based on a chart developed on the basis of statistical data analysis of consumer-preferred online payment methods was also made. Originality/value: The publication presents the results of research conducted on the basis of statista international portal.

    Purpose: to determine the ways of widening the public awareness of CCS technologies and, therefore, creating some level of public perception Design/methodology/approach: The method of achieving the goals and tasks of this article is the secondary research of articles of foreign researchers related to formation of public opinion on climate change mitigation in general and, in particular, development of CCS projects. Besides, it is necessary to review Russian school textbooks to find the information about climatic problems. Findings: It is necessary to review the experience of foreign countries to determine the ways of shaping public opinion on the climate change issues and decreasing the level of CO2 in the Russian Federation. Originality/value: The article shows the major results of the survey: awareness of high environmental risks lowers public acceptance, the government plays a key role in environmental management, traditional and electronic media information can lower the perceived risk and improve the public acceptance of CCUS.

    Problematyka prowadzonych tu rozważań skupia się wokół komunikacyjnych podstaw innowacji społecznych i ich roli w tworzeniu środowiska sprzyjającego inteligentnym specjalizacjom, które obecnie uznaje się za istotne narzędzie wspierające rozwój i warunkujące wypracowywanie potencjału konkurencyjności przedsiębiorstw, regionu, kraju. W artykule przyjęto, że w procesach innowacyjnych, obok rozwiązań o charakterze technicznym, równie istotny jest klimat społeczny otwarty na te rozwiązania, a tworzenie takiego klimatu jest możliwe dzięki zastosowaniu określonych instrumentów komunikacyjnych.
    The main subject of this considerations focus on the communications instruments of social innovation and their role in creating the social environment conducive to intelligent specializations, which are now regarded as a significant tool to support the development and competitiveness of the enterprises, regions and countries. The article assumes that in innovation processes important is not only technical solution, but also the social climate open to these solutions, and creating such a climate it is possible through the use of specific instruments of communication.

    Celem artykułu jest rozważenie wpływu uwarunkowań kulturowych na innowacyjność polskiej gospodarki. Opracowanie składa się z trzech części. W pierwszej syntetycznie przedstawiono główne pojęcia dotyczące innowacyjności oraz poziom innowacyjności polskiej gospodarki na tle innych krajów. W drugiej części skoncentrowano się na makrouwarunkowaniach innowacyjności gospodarki. Podkreślono znaczenie zmian systemowych, napływu kapitału zagranicznego oraz decyzji o akcesji Polski do UE. Szerzej omówiono rolę BIZ oraz klastrów. W części trzeciej rozważania koncentrowały się na uwarunkowaniach kulturowych. W podsumowaniu podkreślono potrzebę dalszych zmian uwarunkowań kulturowych w kierunku sprzyjającym wzrostowi innowacyjności.
    The aim of this article is to consider the impact of cultural factors on the innovation of the Polish economy. The paper consists of three parts. In the first synthetically describes the main concepts related to innovation and the level of innovation in the Polish economy as compared to other countries. The second part focuses on the macro determinants of the innovation economy. It emphasized the importance of systemic changes, the inflow of foreign capital and the decision of the Polish accession to the EU. For more discusses the role of FDI and clusters. In the third part, deliberations focused on cultural conditions.

    Purpose: The paper tries to answer the following question: what are the relationships between the quality of leader-member exchange (LMX), learning climate, and employee motivation in public administration? Its purpose is to identify the relationships between LMX, learning climate, and employee motivation in public administration organizations. Methodology: The paper presents the results of a survey carried out in the Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowska Metropolis (Metropolis GZM), i.e. the metropolitan association located in the area of Upper Silesia. The sample consisted of 153 employees in all of 41 municipal offices of the Metropolis GZM. A model of relationships between LMX, learning climate, and employee motivation was proposed and tested using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Findings: It was found that the quality of LMX positively affected learning climate, which in turn influenced employee motivation. Analysis proved that learning climate mediated the relationship between LMX and motivation of public administration employees. Research limitations/implications: The study focused only on the municipal offices in the Metropolis GZM and its results cannot be generalized. However, it implies that public administration organizations can create the learning climate by improving relationships between supervisors and subordinates to increase employee motivation. Practical implications: The results obtained indicate that in the contemporary public administration, a traditional approach to motivate employees should evolve and move towards an approach based on positive social relations, mutual trust, and leaders’ developmental support. Originality/value: This research has provided empirical evidence regarding the relationships between the quality of LMX, learning climate and employee motivation which was hitherto absent from public administration.

    Opis:
    The aim of this article is to describe the state of the acoustic climate at the rest and service areas (MOPs) situated by A4 motorway in Silesia The analysis includes the research results conducted at these parking lots from May till August 2010. The research was conducted with the digital noise meter, which was connected with the computer during measurement. The research results indicate the essential differences in the noise intensity between the particular rest and service area reaching up to 12 dB(A), in spite of the similar value of the traffic noise in all of the places where the research was conducted. It was assumed that the level of noise on each of the parking lots should be similar to standing norms for the recreation areas i.e. below 55 dB(A). The research conducted at 4 MOPs indicated that only at two of them, MOP Halemba and Wirek, these norms are fulfilled. The lack of the proper anti-noise protection in the form of the sound absorbing screens at the parking lots situated by the motorway causes the situation in which the level of noise at the places devoted to rest highly decreases the possibility to relax before the next stage of a journey.
    W artykule opisano stan klimatu akustycznego w Miejscach Obsługi Pojazdów usytuowanych przy autostradzie A4 w województwie śląskim – MOP Wirek, MOP Halemba, MOP Proboszczowice, MOP Chechło. Analiza obejmuje wyniki badań przeprowadzonych na tych parkingach w okresie od maja do sierpnia 2010 roku. Badania przeprowadzono przy użyciu cyfrowego miernika hałasu, podłączonego w trakcie pomiarów do komputera. Wyniki badań wskazują na istotne różnice w wielkości natężenia hałasu pomiędzy poszczególnymi Miejscami Obsługi Pojazdów, dochodzącego do 12 dB(A), pomimo podobnej wartości hałasu komunikacyjnego we wszystkich punktach badawczych. Przyjęto, że na każdym parkingu poziom hałasu powinien być zbliżony do obowiązujących norm dla terenów rekreacyjnych, tj. poniżej 55 dB(A). Przeprowadzone badania na 4 MOP-ach wykazały, iż tylko na dwóch z nich normy te są spełnione dla: MOP Halemba i MOP Wirek. Brak odpowiedniej ochrony przeciwdźwiękowej w postaci ekranów akustycznych na parkingach położonych przy autostradzie skutkuje tym, że poziom hałasu w miejscach przeznaczonych do wypoczynku znacznie obniża możliwość odprężenia przed dalszą podróżą.

    Mapa akustyczna pozwala na graficzne zilustrowanie klimatu akustycznego na danym obszarze. Sporządza się ją w wyniku obliczeń lub pomiarów poziomu dźwięku pochodzącego z różnych źródeł hałasu. Należy przy tym uwzględnić ich lokalizację oraz parametry akustyczne. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki przeprowadzonych analiz, mających na celu weryfikację skuteczności zastosowanych ekranów akustycznych na skrzyżowaniu ulic w Dąbrowie Górniczej.
    Acoustic map allows for graphic illustration of acoustic climate on a given area. It is made after calculation and measurement of noise coming from various sources of noise. Their location and acoustic parameters should be taken into account here. The article presents the results of conducted analyses which aim at verification of the efficiency of applied acoustic screens on the crossroad in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
