Opis:
The systemic transformation in Poland has revealed the range of inadequacy of the system and the quality of education to the requirements of the principles of market economy. The changing labor market needed a type of employees different from the earlier, socialist society. The principles of decentralization and demonopolization introduced at the beginning of the 1990s started changes in the system of education. At the same time they revealed an increase in Poles’ educational aspirations. Reformatory work that resulted in the 1999 reform of education were subjected to this. The reform is a continuous process. Its elements are gradually implemented, and are connected both with the structure and with the quality of education. The tasks of the reform also include making the children’s and youths’ educational chances equal as well as propagating the pro-family education of the society. The aim of the article is discussing the state of Polish education in the 1990s and of the causes and results (up till now) of the reform of the educational system. It shows problems in the educational policies and indicates both the necessity of undertaking reformatory measures and new areas and challenges within education of the young (and not only) generation.

Opis:
The aim of the article is to present the concept of partnership in the family in the light of philosophy of ethical personalism. Definitions of partner and partnership are quoted that are formulated and used in social sciences, mainly in pedagogy, as well as those ones that are used in empirical studies of partnership in the family. Next, the main assumptions of personalistic philosophy are briefly presented, and partnership in family relations – between the spouses and between the parents and children – in its proper form is defined. The basic conclusions of the discussion contained in the article are statements saying that partnership is not the same as equality (sameness), and that existential inequality of partners is a chance to form an educational relation.

In the article, the author presents the family as the best setting for the effectiveness of education. In a society shaken by various kinds of individualism and selfishness, children must be enriched with a sense of love and quality of community, which is built in the family as communio personarum. The self-giving that inspires the love of husband and wife for each other is the model for the self-giving that must be practiced in the relationships between brothers and sisters and the different generations living together in the family. And the communion and sharing that are part of everyday life in the home at times of joy and at times of difficulty are the most concrete and effective pedagogy. The quality of community life in the family creates the base for human development and education.

Od końca drugiej wojny światowej ewolucja rodziny przybrała dramatycznie inny kształt. To samo dotyczy realiów szkoły i jej podejścia do nauczania. Czy jednak potrzeba nauczania może być ograniczana i wyrażana poza realnym życiem? Żądanie zmian jest powszechne zarówno wśród młodych, jak i dorosłych, którzy poszukują rzeczywistych odpowiedzi na swoje pytania. Uczenie się przez całe życie staje się rzeczywistością: jest to nauczanie dla życia! Można potencjalnie uzyskać w tej kwestii rozmaite odpowiedzi. Jedną z nich są Wiejskie Domy Rodzinne (MFR – Maisons Familiales Rurales), należące do AIMFR, Międzynarodowego Związku Wiejskich Domów Rodzinnych.
Since the end of the Second World War, the evolution of the family has dramatically changed. The same goes for the true reality of school and its teaching approach. But can the need for training be limited and express itself outside of real life? A demand for change is prevalent amongst both youth and adults who are seeking real answers to their questions. Lifelong learning becomes reality: this is training for life! There are different potential answers available. Amongst these answers, there is the Rural Family Houses one (MFR – Maisons Familiales Rurales); the Rural Family Houses are grouped within AIMFR, the International Association of Rural Family Houses).

Celem niniejszego artykułu, który ma charakter teoretyczno-empiryczny, było przedstawienie rodziny (wielkomiejskiej/dużego miasta) jako rudymentarnego środowiska życia, rozwoju oraz socjalizacji i wychowania dzieci, kształtującego jakość ich dzieciństwa. Rodzina wielkomiejska poprzez swoją specyfikę (fakt zamieszkiwania w dużym mieście, jego charakterystyka) wydaje się stwarzać dzieciom korzystne dla ich dzieciństwa warunki rozwojowo-wychowawcze. Zostały one w artykule nazwane i scharakteryzowane. Wyniki badań empirycznych stanowią omówienie warunków edukacyjnych, jakie stwarza dzieciom środowisko rodzinne (troska rodziców o edukację szkolną i pozaszkolną dziecka). Podjęta także została próba typologizacji dzieciństwa w badanych rodzinach.
In its theoretical and empirical approach, the article discusses a (big city) family as a living environment providing conditions for development, socialisation and education of children which determine the quality of their childhood. A big-city family, through its particular characteristics, seems to create favourable conditions for development and education of children. They are identified and described in the article. The results of empirical research refer to educational conditions created by families (parental involvement in both in-school and after-school education). The article attempts to provide typology of childhood in the examined families.

Die Geschichte der Menschheit verläuft ebenso wie die menschliche Heilsgeschichte durch die Familie. Darum stellt die Familie unter den vielen Wegen der Kirche den ersten und in vielerlei Hinsicht auch den besten Weg dar. Selbst wenn sich jemand dafür entschieden hat allein zu leben, bleibt die Familie doch sein existenzieller Horizont als diejenige Gemeinschaft, auf der das gesamte Leben basiert. Die wichtigste Aufgabe der Familie im Rahmen ihres Mitwirkens an einer Zivilisation der Liebe besteht offensichtlich darin, den Begriff der Elternschaft in einem vertieften Sinn zu verstehen. Im vorliegenden Artikel wurde das Problem aufgegriffen, dass die Elternschaft die Realisierung der göttlichen Berufung sein muss und welche Konsequenzen sich daraus für die Erziehung ergeben. Zunächst wurde dargelegt, wie die christliche Berufung im Allgemeinen zu verstehen ist, bevor in diesem Licht die Berufung zu einem Leben in Ehe und Familie betrachtet wurde. Im Anschluss daran wurde erläutert, dass die Berufung zu einem Leben in Ehe und Familie ein Geschenk aber auch eine Aufgabe darstellt. Dagegen bezieht sich der letzte Punkt auf die elterliche Liebe, die ihren Ausdruck auf ganz unterschiedliche Weise als mütterliche oder väterliche Liebe finden kann.

Prayer makes people grow and it shows the supernatural dimension of the family community. The family is called to participate in liturgical, community and individual types of prayer. The most important forms of family prayer include: the Eucharist, sacramental celebrations, the Horarium, occasional blessings, contemplating and sharing the Word of God, Holy Rosary, Cult of the Most Sacred Heart of Lord Jesus, of God Mercy, of Holy Virgin Mary, pilgrimages and acts of folk devotion. The family is called to foster sacramental life and prayer practices of its members. This spiritual growth of the family takes places through bearing everyday testimony and the mutual prayer support on the part of the family members, as well as the educational initiatives for the children. Family prayer comes to fruition in the form of prayer apostolate, whose aims reach beyond the family. Religious associations and family religious movements play a significant role in the developing of family prayer and prayer apostolate.

Dziecko, które pojawia się w życiu rodziców i wychowawców, jest wielkim darem. Należy ciągle objawiać wartość tego cennego daru, który jest zarazem wielką tajemnicą. Dziecko, aby mogło należycie się rozwijać, potrzebuje przede wszystkim akceptacji i miłości. Obecnie często wypacza się rolę małżeństwa i rodziny, a także − nawet wśród wierzących chrześcijan − niszczy się ich pierwotne znaczenie. Pragnienie Boga jest wpisane do serca człowieka, ponieważ człowiek jest stworzony przez Boga i dla Boga. Bóg nie przestaje człowieka przyciągać do siebie i jedynie w Bogu człowiek znajdzie prawdę i szczęście, których ciągle poszukuje. Największym przejawem ludzkiej godności jest powołanie człowieka do wspólnoty życia z Bogiem. Dziecko już od swego narodzenia musi być wszechstronnie formowane, aby wyrosło na silnego moralnie i wartościowego człowiek.
A child who enters life as parents and educators is a great gift. It is necessary to constantly discover the value of this precious gift that is also a great mystery. Baby for its healthy development needs to be accepted and loved above all. Nowadays, it distorts the fundamental importance of marriage and family. Increasingly, the faithful Christians and destroy their original meaning. The desire for God is inscribed in the human heart, because man is created by God and for God. God does not cease to attract man to himself and only in God finds a man of truth and happiness that constantly looking for the ultimate reason for human dignity lies in man's vocation to communion with God. The child must be since its birth molded versatile that from it grew a moral and respectable man who once stand as family and social life, will be able to care for themselves, will be able to distinguish good from evil, beauty from bad taste and will was able to positively used in personal and family life.

Teresa Kukołowicz (1925-2014) podkreślała, że człowiek jest bytem niedoskonałym, niedokończonym, potencjalnym, a dzięki oddziaływaniom pedagogicznym ma szansę na kształtowanie siebie tak, by stawać się coraz bardziej doskonałym, dokończonym, by aktualizować swoje możliwości. Zatem, jeśli chcemy mówić, że wychowanie jest pomocą niesioną człowiekowi w jego rozwoju i wzrastaniu – to jego sens tkwi w realizacji tych celów, które wyrażają sposób rozumienia świata i życia, sposób wartościowania rzeczywistości i jego ocenę. W efekcie wyrazem takiej postawy człowieka wobec świata i życia jest jego deklaracja wobec podstawowych wartości. Człowiek odpowiada na wezwanie wartości i w ten sposób nie tylko przekształca świat, lecz także buduje siebie jako wartość na tym świecie. Pedagog staje więc przed zadaniem wyposażenia wychowanka w sprawności i struktury, które będą rozwijać w nim gotowość do aktualizowania siebie jako osoby. Bez oczywistych prawd religijno-światopoglądowych, etycznych i estetycznych nasze życie osobiste i społeczne byłoby bardziej chaotyczne niż obecnie.
Teresa Kukołowicz (1925-2014) emphasized that man is an imperfect, unfinished, potential being, and thanks to pedagogical interactions, he has a chance to shape himself so as to become more and more perfect, complete, to update his abilities. Thus, if we want to say that education or upbringing means helping a person in his/her development and growth – its sense covers realisation of the goals which express the way of understanding the world and life, the way of valuing the reality and its evaluation. The effect of such attitude towards the world and life is the person’s declaration on the basic values. Man responds to the call of values and thus not only transforms the world, but also builds himself as a value in this world. The educator is thus faced with the task of equipping the pupil with skills and structures that will develop his readiness to update himself as a person. Our personal and social life, without obvious truths of religious, ideological, ethical and aesthetic nature, would be even more chaotic than it is now.

This article may be classified as pedagogy of family, concerns parents’ pedagogical knowledge, it has a theoretical-empirical character. The goal is determination of a level of the pedagogical knowledge possessed by parents. Research was carried out by the method of sounding. A questionnaire, which consists of fifty questions adopted it as a research technique. The collected research material in a form of five hundred filled-in questionnaires was covered by the statistical analysis. This article presents the theory consisting of parents’ pedagogical knowledge, methodology of my own research, include acquired results of the performed research and conclusions of the research.

Opis:
Niezwykle istotnym, wymagającym całościowego opracowania naukowego jest zagadnienie patriotycznego światopoglądu młodzieży białoruskiej. Dotychczasowe wybiórcze sondaże dowodzą jedynie, że patriotyzm młodzieży białoruskiej ma charakter nieukształtowany, nieusystematyzowany oraz nie ma dla niej większego znaczenia. Nie prowadzono natomiast badań nad zagadnieniem uwarunkowań kształtowania się postaw patriotycznych białoruskiej młodzieży. Wyniki zaprezentowanych badań ukazują, że wykształcenie oraz pozycja zawodowa rodziców respondentów są czynnikami najmniej różnicującymi ich postawy. Niewątpliwie, uzyskane zależności wymagają badań interdyscyplinarnych. Jednak zaobserwowany problem – dlaczego rodzina, która ma w sposób naturalny przekazywać treści wychowania patriotycznego, jest najmniej różnicującym czynnikiem postawy patriotyczne młodzieży, wydaje się niezwykle interesujący na polu pedagogicznym.
The issue of patriotic views of Belarusian youth is extremely important and requires an overall study. Current selective surveys only prove that the patriotism of Belarusian youth has unformed, not-systematized character and is of no special importance. There have been no studies on the issue of the conditions of shaping the patriotic attitudes of Belarusian youth. Results of surveys show that education and occupational status of parents of the young examined are the least differentiating factors. Undoubtedly, gained relations need further interdisciplinary research. However, the problem observed − why family which is supposed to deliver the patriotic education contents in the natural way, is the least differentiating factor of the patriotic attitudes of young people − seems to be very interesting from the pedagogical perspective.

Opis:
Any integral conception of education – including family education – must acknowledge the need for social education, which is due to the fact that the human being can develop only as the social being. However, the readiness to enter social personal relations can be taken for granted as automatic. It requires continuous effort and formation. Social education should take into account the good of the community and the good of the educated person. This is why the concept of participation is of particular use in educating for social life. Participation does not only mean engaging in social relations, looking for external links with the world. Participation draws upon relations that stem from the internal structure of the personality. This is why participation constitutes something more than a kind of human action through which people cooperate. In this sense, participation is a human attribute, thanks to which a person acts with others to self-realize him/herself. The role of the family in social education cannot be overestimated. Family life helps discover the depth of selfless love, teaches responsibility for others in the name of the common good. When the developmental environment of the family offers appropriate models, a young human can discover that he/she lives „through others”, and learns to live „for others.” In this way, the family becomes the „school of fuller humanity” and the „school of social virtues.” This is why the family should be looked at as the foundation of proper social relations and the most effective tool of humanization and personalization of the society.

Opis:
The documents of the Church devote a lot of space to marriage and family. They show marriage and family as natural communities that cannot be substituted by any other institutions. They also point to the necessity of the Christian formation of all the subjects of Church life, among which the first place is taken by family. Introduction into the full Christian life of children, young people and adults is done during the family catechesis. It is a contingent, immediate and practical teaching of religious truths in the family home. This task is first of all the parents’ responsibility; in this way they pass the exam in their religious education and educational skills. Grandparents, elder siblings, as well as the school and the parish help the parents. Family catechesis also effects the preparation for marital and family life. It is a way to revive families for Christian life, to look properly at the preparation to marriage, to live in sanctity and to fulfill the marital and family duties conscientiously.

Ksiądz Piotr Poręba - pedagog i psycholog, pastoralista i katechetyk - w pracy naukowodydaktycznej koncentrował się wokół takich kwestii, jak: wychowanie, małżeństwo, rodzina, katecheza, duszpasterstwo rodzin. Zagadnienia katechetyki badał pod kątem historycznym: analizował poglądy i koncepcje pedagogów i katechetyków. Obszar praktyki katechetycznej opisywał w ujęciu psychologicznym oraz pedagogicznym. Katecheza w ujęciu Piotra Poręby może być więc zdefiniowana jako: psychopedagogika katechezy oparta na antropologii chrześcijańskiej.
Reverend Piotr Poręba - an educationist and psychologist, a pastoralist and a theoretician of catechesis - focused his research-didactic work on such questions as: education, marriage, family, catechesis, pastoral family counseling. He studied the issues of catechetics in the historical perspective: he analyzed educationalists’ and catechists’ views and conceptions. He described the area of catechetic practice in the psychological and pedagogical perspective. Hence, catechesis seen from Piotr Poręba’s perspective may be defined as: psycho-pedagogy of catechesis based on Christian anthropology.

Opis:
Istotą wychowania jest ukazanie tego, co wartościowe, a przekaz środowiska wychowawczego na temat wartości powinien być wspólny, klarowny i konsekwentny. Dla prawidłowego ukształtowania osobowości wychowanka, taki przekaz powinien płynąć z pierwszego, podstawowego, naturalnego środowiska wychowawczego, które funkcjonuje w domu rodzinnym, a tworzą je przede wszystkim rodzice, ale też rodzeństwo i dalsza rodzina. Wychowanie powinno mieć odniesienie do solidnego wzorca. Taki wzorzec dają wartości ogólnoludzkie, a w jeszcze większym stopniu wartości chrześcijańskie, akceptujące prawa natury, które rozświetla Objawienie Boże. Dogodne warunki do tego, by mógł dokonywać się integralny rozwój osoby w oparciu o wartości związane z domem, stwarza edukacja domowa. Daje ona dużą szansę, ale jest również wyzwaniem dla zainteresowanych taką formą kształcenia rodzin, jak również społeczeństwa i państwa.
The essence of education is to show what is valuable, and the message of educational environment should be common, clear and consistent. For shaping student's personality properly, such message should flown from the first basic, natural educational environment which is in the family home, and is created mainly by parents, but siblings and other relatives also contribute to creating it. Upbringing should be related to a paragon. Such a paragon gives human values, and even more Christian values accepting laws of nature which illuminate the Revelation of God. Home education creates favourable conditions to let integral development of a person take place based on values related to home. It gives a great opportunity, but it is also a challenge not only for those interested in such a form of family education but also for the society and the state.
