    Der Verfasser möchte vor allem auf drei Fragen antworten, die mit dem Epheserbrief verbunden sind: Wer ist sein Verfasser, wer sind die Angesprochenen im Brief und wie steht es mit dem Verhältnis seiner Theologie und Eklesiologie zum Kolosserbrief und anderen älteren paulinischen Schriften. Der Verfasser ist jemand, der wenigstens 1 Kor und Kol kannte. Die Adressaten scheinen eine konkrete Gemeinde zu bilden, in der eine Spannung zwischen ihnen, Heiden-Christen, und Juden-Christen entstanden ist. Diese möchte der Verfasser des Briefes schlichten vor allem durch eine Eklesiologie, die die Leib-Somakonzeption des Paulus übernimmt, doch weiterführend in der Haupt-Kephalezuspitzung münden lässt, um in dieser Weise auch die kosmische Dimension einer einzigen Kirche ins Blickfeld zu bringen.

    Przedmiotem artykułu jest analiza egzegetyczna perykopy Ef 2,11-22 zmierzająca do wszechstronnej eksploracji tematyki pojednania. Autor wykazuje najpierw, że fragment Ef 2,11-22 ma strukturę chiastyczną ABCDD’C’B’A’. Tematyka pojednania jest w tej strukturze centralnym motywem teologicznym wokół którego oscylują wszystkie inne. Pierwszym elementem strategii pragmatycznej autora Ef w perykopie 2,11-22 jest ukazanie kondycji pogańskich adresatów z punktu widzenia religii starotestamentowego Izraela. Byli oni pozbawieni Boga i Jego zbawczych obietnic. Dzięki Chrystusowemu dziełu pojednania, które dokonało się poprzez śmierć Chrystusa na krzyżu, obydwie podzielone dotąd części ludzkości (poganie i Żydzi) stały się jednością. Chrystusowe dzieło pojednania naprawia przede wszystkim relację obu wrogich stron z Bogiem. Pojednanie pomiędzy owymi zwaśnionymi stronami jest pochodną ich uprzedniego pojednania z Bogiem przez Chrystusa w Duchu Świętym (teologia trynitarna). Dzięki Chrystusowemu dziełu pojednania poganie przestali być obcy Bogu i razem z chrześcijanami pochodzenia żydowskiego stanowią jedną „świętą świątynię”, „mieszkanie Boga przez Ducha”, czyli Kościół.
    The article aims at an exegetical exploration of the theme of reconciliation in Eph 2:11-22. First it is argued that the passage has chiastic literary structure (ABCDD’C’B’A’). Reconciliation is in the structure a central (pivotal) theme around which go all other theological motifs. The first element of pragmatic strategy of the author in Eph 2:11-22 is to show the condition of the addressee of the letter from the point of view of the Old Testament religion. As Gentiles they were deprived of God and His salvific promises. Thanks to the work of reconciliation accomplished by Christ’s death on the cross, both previously divided parts of the world (namely Gentiles and Jews) have become one. Christ’s work of reconciliation restores above all the relationship of each hostile group with God. The reconciliation between the two groups is a consequence of their prior reconciliation with God by Christ in the Holy Spirit (Trinitarian theology). Thanks to Christ’s work of reconciliation Gentiles are not strangers to God any more but together with the faithful Christians of Jewish origin form one “holy temple”, “Gods dwelling through the Spirit”, namely the Church.
    Der Gegenstand dieses Artikels ist eine exegetische Analyse der Perikope Eph 2, 11-22, in der die Thematik der Versöhnung umfassend behandelt wird. Der Autor bemerkt zuerst, dass dieses Fragment eine chiastische Struktur aufweist: ABCDD’C’B’A’. Das Thema der Versöhnung ist in dieser Struktur das zentrale theologische Motiv, um das herum alle anderen Motive kreisen. Das erste Element der pragmatischen Strategie des Verfassers des Epheserbriefes in der Perikope 2,11-22 ist die Aufzeichnung der Kondition der heidnischen Adressaten vom Standpunkt der Religion des alttestamentlichen Israels aus. Sie waren fern von Gott und seinen Heilsverheißungen. Dank des Versöhnungswerkes, das sich durch den Kreuzestod Christi ereignete, wurden die beiden bisher getrennten Teile der Menschheit (Heiden und Juden) vereint. Das Versöhnungswerk Christi verbessert vor allem das Verhältnis zu Gott der beiden verfeindeten Seiten. Die Versöhnung zwischen den beiden Seiten des Konflikts ist ein Resultat ihrer vorherigen Versöhnung mit Gott durch Christus im Heiligen Geist (trinitarische Theologie). Dank des christlichen Versöhnungswerkes sind die Heiden nicht mehr Gott gegenüber fremd, sondern gemeinsam mit den Christen jüdischer Abstammung bilden sie den einen "Heiligen Tempel", die "Wohnstätte Gottes durch den Geist", also die Kirche.

    The expression “the fullness of time/times” is problematic because it was used for the first time in all of Greek literature by Paul, the Apostle to the Nations. A similar expression can be found only in certain papyri, where “the completion of times” was the expression used to call, among others, the end of a loan period. The only key to understanding the connotation of “the fullness of time/times” is an in-depth analysis of the immediate textual contexts of both Galatians 4:4 and Ephesians 1:10, the two places where this novelty is found. This article is an attempt to interpret the “fullness of time/times” in Galatians 4:4 and Ephesians 1:10 (with the addition of Mark 1:15). Our conclusion is that in Galatians 4:4 “the fullness of time” should be considered as “the end of the domination of Law.” As for Ephesians 1:10, there are multiple valid proposals for explaining “the fullness of times”, and we have not limited ourselves to any one in particular.
