    Opis:
    This article aims to present related issues with “hate speech” and its symbols in urban space. It is an attempt to illustrate the scale of the occurring phenomenon and the problems arising from it. An indication of socio‑cultural factors that may affect the formation of such and not other behaviors in the cognitive process. Defining the motivators of the problem and its impact on the objective and subjective dimension of security, on examples directly related to urban space. The article also discusses restrictions related to freedom of expression in relation to national legislation. This article is also an attempt to identify solutions that can contribute to overcoming such anti‑social behavior in urban environments.

    Artykuł przedstawia analizę orzecznictwa sądów cywilnych dotyczącego hejtu i mowy nienawiści. Wskazuje na sposób rozumienia pojęcia „hejtu” i „mowy nienawiści” w uzasadnieniach orzeczeń sądowych, nieprawidłowości w zakresie ustalania wielkości krzywdy i zadośćuczynienia, znaczenie, jakie sądy nadają zapobieganiu mowie nienawiści. Ponadto wskazuje, iż sądy dostrzegają, że hejt i mowa nienawiści stanowią katalizator dla kolejnych aktów agresji słownej i fizycznej a także wyznaczają szersze granice dopuszczalnej krytyki w stosunku do osób publicznych.
    The article presents an analysis of the jurisprudence of civil courts on hate and hate speech. It indicates the way of understanding the notions of “hate” and “hate speech” in the justifications of court decisions, irregularities in determining the amount of harm and redress, the importance that courts give to the prevention of hate speech. Moreover it indicates that the courts recognize that hate and hate speech are a catalyst for subsequent acts of verbal and physical aggression and they also set wider boundaries for acceptable criticism against public figures.

    The article draws attention to the problem of permanent conflict between freedom of speech (freedom of expression) and hate speech used in communication by politicians and ordinary people in a democratic state, not only to strenghten the importance of civil rights and freedom, but often to antagonize specific social groups. They attempt to evaluate legal tools in the fight against hate speech and their effectiveness in combating this social pathology, but also stress further need for changes in criminal law in this area to facilitate those experiencing hate speech and discriminatory justice. It should be noticed that the problem of excluding hate speech from social life is extremely complex and difficult to implement in practice. Each interference of the legislator with civil rights and freedom should be proportionate and carefully thought out and can not lead to an unjustified limitation of these rights.

    W przypadku każdej narodowości można wyróżnić wieloskładnikowe serie memetyczne, w których powtarzane są te same koncepty oraz informacje. Celem artykułu jest analiza wybranych stereotypów narodowościowych i etnicznych odtworzonych na podstawie 520 memów internetowych. Autorka wskazuje cechy składające się na wizerunek wybranych narodów (Amerykanina, Araba, Roma, Polaka) oraz omawia językowe schematy służące ich charakterystyce.
    For every nationality, there are multi‑component meme series that echo the same concepts and information. This article is aimed at analysing selected national and ethnic stereotypes reconstructed from 520 internet memes. The author identifies the features that make up the image of selected nationalities (American, Arab, Romani, Polish) and discusses linguistic schemes used to describe their characteristics.

    The article presents an analysis of hatred as a phenomenon breaching the sense of security and other legal rights protected by civil law. Within it I analyze the scope of entities that may submit claims, as well as entities that are obliged to satisfy claims of persons affected by the effects of hatred. I also present a catalogue of claims which can by submitted by hate victims and other persons (in particular the closest family members). All this is aimed at finding the answer to the question whether civil law is (or rather may be) the right tool in the fight against hatred and what are its advantages and disadvantages in comparison with criminal and administrative law regulations dealing with hatred.

    W artykule podjęty został problem: mowa nienawiści a Kościół katolicki. Poprzez analizę tekstów prasowych i internetowych zajmujących się tematyką katolicyzmu, ukazano różnorodne podejścia do terminu mowa nienawiści, jak i jego stosowania. Na podstawie cytowanych opinii przedstawicieli Kościoła zaprezentowano opisywany termin, nawiązując do kwestii wolności słowa czy mowy pogardy. Podjęto również wątek kontrowersji związanych z nieobecnością Kościoła katolickiego w ważnych dyskusjach i raportach podejmujących temat grup narażonych na nienawistne ataki słowne. Na zakończenie nawiązano do wychowawczej roli Kościoła w odniesieniu do reguł komunikacji międzyludzkiej.
    The article addresses the following issue: hate speech and the Catholic Church. By analyzing press and internet texts dealing with the subject of Catholicism, various approaches have been shown to the term hate speech as well as its use. Based of the quoted opinions of the Church's representatives, the term presented referring to the freedom of speech or the speech of contempt. There was also a controversy over the absence of the Catholic Church in important discussions and reports addressing groups vulnerable to hate speech attacks. At the end the article refers to the educational function of the Church for keeping the rules of interpersonal communication.

    The article presents the problem of stalking and cyberstalking and offenses arising from hate speech and attempted evaluation of the acquired legislation criminalizing these phenomena. In the modern world stalking, cyberstalking, and hate speech are considered behaviors thaat constitute a serious violation of human rights including the right to liberty, privacy and dignity. Especially hate crime (hate crimes) are a serious problem for the development of society. Feeling of indulgence society can not tolerate behavior marked by tormented victims, their persecution on the Internet or the real world. We can not be indifferent to the promotion of racial, ethnic, religious hatred. General spread of intolerance towards other people undermines the idea of democracy, security and pluralism. Also, law enforcement agencies can not remain passive in relation to such offenses as violence and threat unlawfuly motivated by prejudice (art. 119 of the Penal Code), stalking (art. 190 a of the Penal Code), promotion of fascism and totalitarianism (art. 256 of the Penal Code), racism ( art. 257 of the Penal Code), insult of religious feelings (art. 196 of the Penal Code), defamation (art. 212 of the Penal Code) and insult (art. 216 of the Penal Code), although much depends on the attitudes of victims.
